Orpan Cards

Happy New Year's Eve!!  Following in the tradition of years past, every last day of the year I post my "orphan" cards.  This is the term that I give to the cards that I have made during the year that just didn't "sing" to me when they were finished!  For one reason or another, they just didn't work so I was never pleased enough with them to put them up on the blog.  In short, they need a loving home!  Someone that will care for them and not just bury them in a box!  Each year, I give away the lot to one person whose name is drawn from those that leave a comment on this post.  However, just so you know, I am still looking for one of these cards, so not sure if it will be complete lot yet or not.   So if you feel that you could give a loving home to these cards, just leave me a comment.  I will draw the winner and announce it on Friday's blog post (Jan. 2nd).  Have a safe and Happy New Year!  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue

Poor little orphans, my door/Letter box is open wide & I'll clear a space on my craft room shelves for these lovely darlings to come live with me & they would be loved & cherished very much....

Love them all sue & would be very proud to re-home them for you...

They're all beautiful in their own way...

Thank you so much for all your hard work & inspiration throughout 2014 & I wish you a very Happy Crafty New Year & look forward to more of your beautiful creations in 2015...

Hi Sue,
These all looked lovely to me - I'd gladly give them a good home and certainly wouldn't bury them in a box!

I could definitely give these gorgeous cards a VERY loving home!! Some would hang on my Wall of Honor so that I could see them every day (especially the three butterfly cards) and some would be sent to the most special people in my life on the appropriate occasion. They are the people that would most appreciate a card of this caliber and would also cherish them.
To have this many of YOUR cards at my fingertips would be an amazing feeling.
I so hope that I am the lucky adopter of these so that I can give them a wonderful home but to whomever the lucky new parent is I will be glad.
Thank you for the chance to dream of being that person!!
Happy New Year to you and your family! Enjoy your visit to the states!

Poor little orphans abandoned by their mother and hoping to find a caring and loving home. I would be happy to adopt any one of those wee souls but have to say Sue what is not to like about no.6 and no.11 they are gorgeous! I love everything about them especially the colours.
I think your new years eve giveaway is surprising in the fact that you give all the cards to one person rather than split them up. What a prize to win!!!
Thank you for all your hard work to make this such an inspirational blog with so many friendly and helpful people on it, hope you and your family have a happy new year.

None of my friends and family make cards so I never receive a handmade one. I would proudly display them and I am sure whoever is the lucky person to get them will too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND EVERYONE ON THE BLOG.
AND THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE HELP YOU HAVE GIVEN ME AND FOR REPLYING TO MY EMAILS

Hi Sue

I can't imagine why you wouldn't show this collection of beautiful cards, and if I am lucky enough to win them I will share them with our other Wilsonetts. I would keep one for myself to go with my lucky wednesday winner this year and do a lucky dip and send the others to other Wilsonetts that I know would give them a good home, "Orphans no more".

I have found such lovely friends on your blog Sue and thank you so much for that, and the unending inspiration you give us daily in abundance.

AND Steph!, you Minx. I know you have a word for your cards and we have a laugh, but in no way shape or form do your stunning cards come under that category and I wish you had a blog so that people could see what you do and put us all to shame at the amount you do and the quality of your work.

I wish to Sue and all you lovely Wilsonetts out there, a very Happy Healthy & a Crafty 2015.

Kind regards to all :-)

Hi Sue, These cards should never be classed as 'orphans', they are each beautiful in their own way. My absolute favourite today is the music background and the pennants, I absolutely adore that one.
I would love to welcome them to my home.
I would love to wish you and all A Vey Happy New Year.

Hi Sue,
I get the title you have given the cards .The idea is there but didn't quite make a statement. But still truly not that bad.It just goes to tell you that we can come up with good ideas even though they don't come out as we expected.
Thank you

Hi Sue.

I can see how these differ fron your usual style but I like them, the colourful ones are what I like to do. A lot of cards for just one home though, perhaps you should share them?

Will you be at CHA in a few weeks? They mentioned it on C and C today, the said it's in California so wondered if you'll go to take yor dies to the world!

Sorry I missed you Norah. I'm sorry you had another bereavement. Thinking of you, Jan Craven and others who recently lost someone special or for who Christmas is an anniversary of a bereavement.

I had a lovely day Monday. My three best friends all here, dogs going nuts in the garden. Even Mr W had a friend to talk to as one of my friends husbands was there too. I managed to stay "well" for their visit but after the problem with my neck went into overdrive which causes lots of different things but worst is visual problems. I was seeing double- still am but not so bad, had a very bad headache so couldn't comment. Improved enough so I can make ouf what I read or write, just in time too!

Thank you Sue and all the Wilsonettes for welcoming me to this blog, cheering me up when the pain and boredom are at its worst, supporting me through the hospital treatment, giving me somewhere to vent when it didn't work, Sue, you inspire me and when I can't craft I can read what you did and it's almost as good as doing it myself! I feel I have a group of people who understand the things that are part of my life. Blogging feels like I'm talking to a roomful of friends. I love reading all the comments too. A happy new year to every one of you with hugs a plenty and extra if they're needed. Billy sends wags and woofs to all the four levged friends out there too

Have a lovely new years eve/ hogmanay and see you all in 2015

Love and hugs to you all,

T x

Happy New Year Sue! I was so thrilled when the Cosmic Shimmer Flakes arrived in my part of Canada this summer and I was able to take a class. I think I have watched all your videos since then. Everyone thinks I have to be at least half hummingbird the way I take to anything that shimmers or shines - LOL!
I am visually impaired but started stamping when I had all my sight so I just kept on going. I have assisted tech for my computer so your cards are very large and I can see all the embossing and almost every other detail. Things with wings, a little bling and anything else to decorate paper is welcome in my home. Your cards are all so beautiful in all the elements they contain and large in size. I think that is what gives them that WOW factor. You have inspired me to save up for a machine that can handle such large cards. I will look forward to see what you come out with next in your wonderful line of stamps, dies and embossing folders.
Best wishes for a Healthy, Happy, Crafty New Year.
