Hi bloggers! Gilding Polish is a great way to add accents to embossed card, but did you know it also makes a great background? Today's video will show you how easy it is!

Hi Sue
Love the beautiful sheen of the polish.Wonderful card.Jan x
Morning Sue. I really need to get my act together with backgrounds for my cards, I've watched the team make some beauties but I'm still at the Pixie Powder stage, although I did save some bubble wrap the other day after watching Julia do your demo's on BANK HOLIDAY SUE lol. So when my keeper and 4paws go out for the first walk I'm going to watch how you do this really pretty background for today's beautiful sample before the two polishes I have dry up altogether !
Whatever your plans for the day hope your feeling better enough to enjoy them xxx
Morning Sue.
Thank you a lovely card, I shall watch the video later.
Take care and have fun Kitty.

Hello Sue and all
Lovely card and really enjoyed the video. The gilding polish background on the acetate is amazing but I missed one thing, what did you use to attach the acetate to the white card, just wondering as things show through - was it spray glue or tape around the edges ?
Must have a go at this with some of the frames and tags I have
Hugs

Good morning Sue.
This is a fantastic card but it gave me a shock when I did my comment and the PC went dead on me. There were only 4 comments on then and now there are 10. Anyway I was so overwhelmed with the card that I may have pressed the wrong button.
I love every bit of the card and the video is wonderful. I will certainly be watching it again later.
Hugs.

What a simple and fun background. I had never thought of using my gilding polishes in this way but now I am going to have fun, as I have most of them (not that gorgeous powder blue though - Ive not seen that before, so that's an addition I need to make.
Thanks Sue

Hello Sue
Another stunning new technique to try
Morning Sue, thank you for a great video, your card is stunning! The acetate background looks beautiful, would never have thought to use the gilding polish like that. Thank you too for my gorgeous die, I had a quick play with it last night and really love it. Love Jean xxx
Hi Sue. I wouldn't have thought of using gilding polish on acetate, but what a great result, so shiny. Love the card.
Lisbeth
Hi Sue, a lovely card. The gilding polish on acetate makes a beautiful shiny background for the dies. Thanks for your video.
Amazing look!! Love this technique, thanks for sharing!!
Hi Sue

Love and hugs to everyone

Very interesting video. I guess I would have thought to use the gilding polish on the white paper and then place acetate over but then you would loose the brightness of the white card stock behind. That is why you are clever and I get my good ideas from you.
The card is very pretty and I love the 3 shades of blue together.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Happy Mother's Day tomorrow for those of us who celebrate the day in May!

Lovely blues on this one. Off to watch the video to find out how it’s all done. X
Hi Sue, sorry I'm late but it has been a very busy day and I totally forgot that I had not watched the video or commented, both now rectified. I love this beautiful card and the technique of Gilding Polish on acetate is one that I must try very soon although I think I need to add some more colours to my stash. The effect is gorgeous and I can just imagine the sheen coming through the die cut card is even better in real life.

Lovely card. Next to pixies and Gilding Flakes, my favorite product to use on my cards is Gilding Polish.
