Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Morning bloggers!  This is one of my favourite Christmas cards made with my Festive die line.  It is just so simple and elegant.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and scored a double line around the edge.  Using the Justrite Large Elegant Christmas sentiment set, I stamped my greeting in the upper corner using a Clear Perfect Medium pad, then heat embossed it with Gold detail powder.  I cut two of each of the Mosaic Poinsettia in different sizes out of coconut white card.  I went around the edges with the Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue and then coated it with Iced Snow and set it aside to dry.  Once dry, I assembled the two flowers for my card.  I used a white crystal sparkler in the centres topped with a flatback white pearl glued to the middle of them.  I cut several of the Holly Spray die and added them around my flowers as accents.  The card was completed with a white pierced mat layer, a thin vintage gold card mat then a final white mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 3/4" in size.  If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this card, please leave me a comment on this post (directions are on the right hand side of the blog).  I will draw a name and announce it on Saturday's blog post!  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue and everyone. How great is this I got the poinsettia and the holly spray die so I will try to make this card because it's just wonderful! I still struggling with the cutting out so it takes some time but I will not give up. Thinking someday to get a new machine but not sure which one maybe you could help The GC or Bigshot ?

Hi to Andrea,Pamela and Petra !

Norah-hope all went ok for Rory today? Doctors and injections: Nearly jumped of the trolley when she put the needle in my lower back trying to find the right spot and blamed it on me for being a rounder woman so she couldn't find it and that was it. No more they could do so no new appointment! So tired to have to go back and forth and it's nothing then more pills.... You did cheer me up with the memories of the Mangle. My grandmother had a monster one down the cellar and always when we done the beddings I helped out to push it through at one end and collect it into a big hamper on the other side.It was very hard work and sweety put so much fun and lovely seeing them hanging like big sails from the line in the back garden. Where I'm from we didn't have carpets but lino or wood flooring so there were little rugs and big ones to take out in the yard for some carpet beating ,so many happy memories.

Sandra-glad you got a sleep-in this morning, what a naughty Milo ,hope your bum alright Tihi

Steph-really hope your injection went well and that you not have that bad reaction again,Take care

cr@fty,Heather-good news about your brother! Hug

Janet-have a nice journey to France and the pastries, wonder which one you have first? do tell.

Tres- Happy Birthday!

Take care everyone, hope your night be calm and not to much pain.
Hugs all around and to our little ones
Warm hugs Maria x

Hi Sue,
Well I can't remember why or when I took it but I have a photo of this card on my phone! It must have been when I watched a video on You Tube? I loved the card so very much I photographed it from the screen. It is gorgeous.
My handle for my GC arrived to day so I am ready to go once again. I have really missed using my trusty machine.
Really looking forward to tomorrow 's shows although I have a dental appt at 11 30am! Safe travel Sue, hope the weather is good for your journeys.
Andrea - welcome to the this special blog.
Petra - wilkommen!
Pamela - welcome to you too. Join the fun!
Sandra, Pat and Mrs B - hope you've had another fun day! Hope you made less mess this time tut tut ! Thought of you yesterday - a man in the Care Home I visit once a month told me a joke yesterday - he tells me one each time I go. Here it is - There have been a few changes since you were here last time. Oh what changes? They've got rid of the vacuum cleaners - they said they were only gathering dust! Boom boom!
I think I'd better go - before I get booed off!
Love to everyone,
Janet - hope you've survived the packing! Bon voyage - look forward to your roving reports on pastries! x
Love Myra xx

Hi Sue

After about 18months of NO crafting, I'm finally back and trying to catch up on the developments since I last made a card. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I saw this beauty, and have been on the C&C website and invested in two sets of your dies today (well, one's from hubby for Christmas, lol). Can't wait to get my mitts on them and start making cards again.
