All Our Best Wishes

Good morning all!  Remember that white heart that was cut from the centre of yesterday's card?  Well, here is where it found a home!  I went for a somewhat traditional colour scheme on this one, I love red and white together anyways.  I stamped my sentiment on red card with a clear perfect medium and heat embossed it with white powder first.  Then I embossed my red background with the A4 Garden Lattice embossibility folder for texture.  I cut one more of the hearts in white so I had two matching ones.  Then I covered a piece of the white card with a sticky adhesive sheet and cut the last heart.  I peeled the backing paper off and micro beaded this one and used it for the central feature in my focal element.  Next I laid the hearts out and where they intersected, I nipped the two plain (non micro beaded) hearts.  To get the illusion of the hearts being linked, I tucked the cut sections behind the micro beaded heart.  I think it is quite effective to do this!   Next I cut two borders using one of the edgeability inserts without the cutting edges.  I wanted this to be rather thin and it filled the bill for me.  I glued it to another strip of thin white card for a tone on tone look.  This also allowed me to add 3D foam to the back to raise the borders for dimension.   I made two paper roses, one slightly larger than the other using the tutorial that I did on the Creative Expressions website.  Once they were done, I "sugared" them by coating this with Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue (I use an old paint brush to do this) and then dipping them in the Tim Holtz Rock Candy Dry Glitter (love this stuff!).  I finished the card by matting it in white and paper piercing the inner mat.   Finished size 5 3/4" x 9 1/2" in size.
Also, I just want to let you know that I see we have passed out blog candy goal.  As soon as the shows are finished, I will do the drawing for the candy.  If you are joining the blog in the next day or so, you will still be entered if you forward your details to me before the drawing!   All for now, Sue x

What a lovely card.
Quick favour can you post the name of the blog you mentioned on C&C that has the teardrop pendants. I was touched by the story and would like to buy some as gifts for my sisters.

Another gorgeous card Sue.
Enjoyed the shows very much today - and managed to see most of the extra one too. I was watching Loose Women on ITV but flicked over to C&C in the commercial break and there you were! How lucky was that!

Dear Sue, just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed watching your demos on C & C. I love all of the cards and can not pick a favourite. I can't believe that I was actually picked from the pot for one of your cards as I only emailed literally ten minutes before the end of the show and didn't think I would be picked from all of those. I can't wait to recieve it and put it pride of place in my craft area. Thank you so much. I love the shaving foam idea and will be having a go at that, with all the rest of us. lol. Regards Toni xx
