Live, Laugh, Love

Hello my crafty friends!  I wanted to share another card from last week's launch with you!  For this one, I started by cutting the Sagitta die into the bottom portion of the card using one decorative die and the matching cutting edge.  Above that, I used just the decorative die from the Scarlet die set to cut into the card.  I added mounting foam to the back and added a piece of dusty rose card (from my stash) as a backing colour to show through.  Next I cut the Ella die in white and added it with foam to the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the oval from the Scarlet die set, lightly inked the edges with Victorian Velvet ink and added it to the centre of the card.  I cut two of the Nasturtium Cluster in white and added the side flower out of dusty rose card.  I made two fancy flowers using the single flower die in the set and seated them in the middle of the cluster on the matching flower.  I inked the edges of the flower with the Victorian Velvet as well.  The car was completed with white and dusty rose mats and layers and white flatback pearls.  The finished dimensions are  6 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card Sue, love it. Beautiful, floral, lacy and a dream.
Hope you are now able to take some much needed R & R after your very busy last few weeks.
Elaine, I too was very worried at your first post as I can imagine you were too. I'm glad you were able to let us know that Andrew felt a little better later in and managed to eat a little. I hooe the Cinsultant can give some positive news and help for Andrew. Please try to stay strong, you are not well yourself.
Rosemary, worrying times for your family about FIL. Thinking of you.
Laine lovely to see your post. You seem to be so much better.
Thanks for the update on Patricia, hope she is not overdoing things. How is Norah doing.
It is the twins 14th birthday today, how time flies. I vividly remember the nurses bringing two babies out of the theatre where their daddy and I were waiting, so tiny. Happy birthday Jack and Ryan.
Daily hugs, cuddles to all especially our poorly and missing friends. Special hugs for the families who care for them.

Hi Sue,
you always surprise me by the way you use the dies - and every time you produce something beautiful. This one is definitely one for the ladies. The Nasturtium Cluster is gorgeous, will definitely have to get that one albeit I have already got so many flower dies.... but then I remind myself "I'm worth it"...

Good morning Sue,
Today's card is truly scrumptious. I love the combination of dies you have used, the nasturtium cluster adding a floral element, the Ella and Scarlet giving a lacy look and then the drama of the Sagitta. They work beautifully together. Love the dusty rose, it's such a gentle shade.
Sorry I've been missing for a couple of days, this sailing lark can be very time consuming and by evening I'm only fit to climb into bed.
Today however it's chucking it down - again - we had a very dramatic storm in the night, the lightening was amazing. We are staying put at anchor today by the island of Murter, so a day of reading and relaxation and trying to keep warm!

Elaine, I was saddened to hear Andrew was not feeling well. I sincerely hope the consultants visit today can help him. You are in my thoughts and my prayers.
Rosemary hope your father in law is feeling better now.
Pam happy birthday to the twins, yes time really does fly. We haven't heard much from Norah recently and are waiting to hear from her regarding our gang meeting up. Diane sadly can't make it this time.
Love and hugs for all

Thank you all my lovely friends for your positive comments and a big thank you to Sue for allowing us to off load our problems on her blog when we need a little encouragement .
Andrews results were better than we expected ,we honestly thought his body was now rejecting the chemo after 30 treatments , however all he needs is a months rest to let his body get back some strength , the scan results say nothing has altered from the last scan so that can only be good . Also he is getting some antibiotics to help with the rash and he has to phone tomorrow for his blood results if the potassium/ magnesium is low he just has to go in on Wed to have an intravenous top up .He is very happy he is not being admitted because Helen was adamant she would not go to Florida for the wedding if he was and he so wants her to go , so another problem solved .
Thank you all again for your lovely comments hopes and prayers it really does mean a lot to us ,i always pass on your messages as you know and Andrew sends you all a massive hug.

I will now have a little more time to try and catch up with all your posts

Big hugs to all especially my besties

Hello Sue,
What a stunningly beautiful card today, I love everything about it.
Pam, hope you are not too tired and managing to get through your mornings.
Elaine, I am pleased to read that Andrews scan showed things no worse but hope that he does not need a "top up". It's good to know that Helen will get to the wedding. Thinking of you all.
Helen, we didn't go on to the stage to do things at our Minors. We just went and sang the song, then cheered or booed through the cowboy films ha ha. When the cavalry came into view all the boys would cheer and stamp their feet!!! Then we'd all relax to watch the cartoons.
Yvonne, I need to hear all about Sue's meeting with Royalty A.S.A.P. Of course you couldn't be possibly talking about yourself, but I thought you said that Laine wasn't going ha ha.
Laine, love to hear from you but you do drone on ha ha ho ho he he. (PP told me to say that - not really!!)
Diane, you didn't say that you'd met Alison, come on we need to hear all.
Alison, now you see what I have to put up with when she comes to Newcastle ha ha.
love to all, whether you want it or not, and cuddles to Donita!!!

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Well this was one of my most favourite card samples from the launch, i adore everything about it, the soft rose colour is enchanting and all of the dies used are a triumph and work so well together.....i will be putting this card in my special folder of must do samples, all i have to do is buy each of the dies used, easier said than done at the moment though:-( The Nasturtium Cluster is divine and the miniature flower in the centre is simply perfection. Thankyou for giving me the chance to recreate such a sublime card.
Yes, unfortunately buying dies has to be put on hold at the minute because we've had a few items break down in the household....firstly my Mums scooter is out of action again due to a massive puncture(s), she must have ran over some thorns by accident as the council gardeners had been hard at work pruning back bushes:-( It costs 100pounds to have the scooters tyre replaced, just think of all the dies that could buy! Next thing is that two of our Sky+ boxes have broken and if we want to update them to the new Q box it will cost a whopping 214pounds!!??! Mum is going to threaten to cancel our subscription if they don't give us a better deal though otherwise it will be no food, nevermind dies this fortnight:-( Can't live without Sky+ , just imagine, no Game of Thrones on constant repeat, my Mum will go loopy, she's watched the entire 7 seasons at least 10 times!
Pam, wish your grandsons a very happy 14th birthday from me, i hope they are having a fabulous day!
Rosemary, just watched Strictly it Takes Two, great to have it back, love all the backstage gossip. Glad you enjoyed the show, Aston is my tip for the final but really its too early to say. Hope your FIL is feeling a bit better. Hugs
Carmen, consider my wrists well and truly slapped! You are so right, i did promise to post every day no matter how brief but i always feel that i am letting down my adoring public if i don't post a longer comment:-), and sometimes i cannot perform believe it or not. The last thing i would want to do is disappoint such a good friend as you so i promise to try harder in the future:-)
Elaine, so pleased with Andrews good news, i do hope he manages to avoid any hospital stays so that Helen gets to fly to Florida for the wedding. Sending you all warm hugs and lovexxx
Ooh, i can feel a hot flush coming on, how strange, didn't think i was old enough for the menopause.....must make a mental note to ask Yvonne how she copes with it!:-)
Love and cuddles to all my blog besties, hope the weather clears up soon Saba, Myra and Maureen i do hope that you old dears are behaving in a manner that your age dictates:-)xxx

Hi Sue,
What a delicate, elegant and feminine card! Love the dusty rose colour and all the new dies used. They all work so well together and complement each other. Love the sentiment, too. We so often forget to live the moment, to laugh and love. We should remember what Walter Hagen said: “You’re only here for a short visit. Don’t hurry, don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.”

Pam - Happy Birthday to the twins! Hope their proud grandma had a free stress day at work.
Elaine - Thanks for the update on Andrew. It’s so good to read good news! Happy the results were better for Andrew. He is not the only one who needs rest, you need to slow down as well. Hugs for you all.
Rosemary - Hope your FIL is feeling better now.
Maureen - You always have something “nice” to say … hope Patricia won’t bother to read your yesterday post :)
Saba – Good you see you back. Stay safe.
PP - We are all very patience, you should know it by now :)
Laine – :)

Hugs to you all,
Still a newbie to Craft / not longer the newest, or the only Canadian Wilsonette

An exquisite card Sue. Love how all the dies work so well together. Even the nasturtiums seem to hug the Ela die. The Sagita die is a beautiful design.
