Miss You

Good Sunday morning!  Cream and brown for today's offering, so something a bit different.  I started with a piece of cream card and letterpressed it using the Scrolled Heart folder and Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink, giving it a tonal look.  I cut two of the Chantilly Lace Edger borders in milk card and glued them to the sides, adding strips of cream pearls to each.  Next I cut the Sophia die several times in milk card.  I backed one in chestnut brown card and cut the centre out.  I added mounting foam to the back and then cut the other two Sophia dies in half and added them to the top and bottom area of the cut out Sophia die.  I cut the inner die of the Sophia set in both chestnut brown and milk card.  I used the brown as a shadow behind the milk die cut then recessed it into the centre of the card.  I cut the Miss You Mini Expression out of brown card and glued it int he centre.  Milk and brown mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.

Always & Forever

Hi there my crafty friends!  I have a quick wedding card to share today.  I started with Wedded Bliss Frame and cut it in antique gold card.  I added a white backing piece then cut out the centre by hand.  I added mounting foam to raise it.  I added it over another backing piece cut from white card.  I cut several of the sentiment in gold card then used spray glue and glitter it with Sahara Gold polished silk glitter and glued it to the centre of the frame.   I cut the frame again out of white card and cut out elements of it then glued them on top of the original. I added a thin edge of Iced Snow to the edges of the cake.   For the backing piece, I embossed a piece of antique gold card with the Heart Strings embossing folder.  I seated the frame on it then added it to a larger piece of white card.  I used double sided tape around the edge and glittered it.  The card was then completed with white and gold mats and layers.  Thee finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Aged To Perfection

Hi all!  Today's card showcases the Vineyard Frame die, but cut up into sections!  I started with a piece of milk card and used some Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide around the edges to distress the background.  Next I cut the Ivy Garden Background circle out of milk card and inked through the die with Antique Linen Distress Oxide.  I used mounting foam to attach it in the middle of the card.  Next I cut the Vineyard Frame out of white card.  I nipped it apart into smaller sections then inked them.  I used Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks with small smoothies to ink the sections.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it and added them round the ivy garden central point.  Next I cut a couple of the sentiment die from the frame, stacked them and inked it with Vintage Photo.  I glued it in the centre of the card.  Milk mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  6 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Card Giveaway!

Hello crafters!  I thought it was about time that I did a card giveaway,  Since this one is so much prettier in real life than my photography skills show, I thought it would be the perfect card to use for it!  I started by cutting a decorative edge into the sides of a piece of coconut white card using the border from the Treat Yourself Cupcake set.  Next, I made a large piece of Pixie Powder background using the Midnight Blue, Peacock Green and Violet Purple powders.  From that piece, I cut two strips to go behind my borders, an oval and a piece to fit behind the oval cut out area.  In the middle of the two borders, I used the decorative die from the Nina die to cut into the card.  I cut a wide oval frame from white card using the Double Pierced Noble Ovals and added mounting foam to the back.  I placed that over the Nina die cut area.  I used the thinner frame cut from the Pixie powder background on top of it.  I cut a circular frame out of the Double Pierced Noble Circles and framed my stamp-ed sentiment and seated it over the Nina die cut. For a floral element, I used the Starlight Daisy shape dies and made 3D flowers.  I glittered them with Iced Snow and seated them on a white satin bow and accented them with white Curly Fern die cuts.  I added a strip of white pearls to either side of the borders to finish it off.  White on white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  Leave a comment on this post to be entered into the drawing to win it.  I will announce the winner on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x
