Enjoy

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a lovely apron card to share with you today.  I started by selecting a couple of pieces of decorative paper from my stash.  I used a navy blue plaid for the top and a red and white polka dot patterned paper for the bottom portion of the card.  I cut a border out of navy blue card using one of the dies from the Trellis Edger die set.  I cut the Apron die in white then cut just the lower pocket portion out of matching striped blue card.  I cut the small upper pocket out of navy blue card and added it with foam.  I cut the word Enjoy out of red and attached it to the middle section of the apron.  I filled the pockets with the rolling pin, whisk, utensils and an oven mitt and added Bakers Twine ties to it.   I cut a wider piece of coconut white card and added sticky tape around the edge and sprinkled Iced Snow on it.  I seated the apron topper piece in the centre.   The card was completed with white red and blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card Sue, love it. It's bright, colourful and fun, makes me smile.
The CE Takeover weekend is brilliant, your shows were superb,Julia is also amazing but I missed the weaving shows so will watch on rewind, must see that new die in action.
CraftySuetoo, so happy to hear that the new job is going well, more important that the staff are supportive and you are enjoying it. Poor feet though, a good soak and pamper them will help. Carmen you were so right.
Yay, Donita has celebrated a year on the blog, it had been a pleasure too. You do meet some interesting folks in your job.
Sherry, as Sues newest fan, welcome to the blog, hooe you enjoy it as much as we do. You are now the newest Wilsonette.
Elaine, you do need to take things a little easier, last thing we want is for you to be ill.
Maureen I remember Gene Autry, used to go to the cinema matinee on a Saturday afternoon to watch him, sometimes Buck Rogers, but The Lone Ranger on tv was always my favourite.
Daily hugs/cuddles to all, especially our poorly and missing friends.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, stunning card today, love it, I am also thinking you could utilise your new bbq tools die set as the accessories to this as well, good thinking batman haha

Pam I reiterate all you have said, the shows Sue did were brilliant. So was Julia and Phill and Lisa. I also missed the weaving dies but I believe she is back on today with them - talk about a trip down memory lane with you talking abut Gene Autry and The Lone Ranger.

Off to a craft workshop today

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hello Sue,

What a fun card, so bright and cheerful. Makes you just want to get in the kitchen and bake something. Like several others, I thought your shows were wonderful. They are always a pleasure to watch and always filled with helpful hints and tips. All of your creations were just fantastic.

Have a wonderful day.

Good morning Sue. A fun card today, love all the little finishing touches such as the oven mitt and whisk. A whole weekend of CE is brilliant, just wish there was a way to keep the demos and delete the other bits from the magic box, then I'd be able to keep so much more!
Hope the Strictly fans enjoyed last night! Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Dear Sue,

Perhaps we've seen this card before, or same design, different colors, but it's darling and who would begrudge you a rerun when you've served up heaps of cards on your launch and we can further feast on Hochanda this weekend.

Hi Sherry! You sound like more of a textile artist than a paper crafter. If you already have a house full of fabric, how will you fit any paper?

Carmen, So glad you were so right about CraftySueToo's bright future. Maybe you actually do have a direct line from your mouth to God's ear.

Maureen Killen, third grade is 8-9 years old. Roy Rogers was the singing cowboy I loved. Did his shows cross the pond? When I was little, I wanted Dale Evans out of the way so I could marry him, but as I got older, I wanted him to be faithful to her. I hope he was.

Does anyone in the Gang of However Many keep in touch with Patricia? I hope she's doing well.

Pawprintx4, your poor groomer's chihuahua! That must have been terrifying for him. I'm thrilled that you had horses as a girl, and that Pam's daughter has horses now.

Off to devour some Hochanda rewind.

Love and hugs,
Donita

Morning Sue. These Apron cards are brilliant. I have to admit that I have made loads of these cards in different colour ways. They are so handy to have in my stash and now you have brought the BBQ dies out I can sit and play till my hearts content lol. Once again Sue I have so enjoyed your shows . You make it all look so easy that's why we all love it when you are on the TV so we can record your shows and sit and watch them over and over until we have the confidence to move on to another of your techniques ( does that make me sound like a sad person because that is what I do) lol. Hope you get some time to have some R&R after everything you have been through these last few weeks. Take Care Sue.
Best Wishes.

Donita, Roy Rogers and Trigger. Oh yes, I remember him well but was never impressed by Dale ha ha. I only saw his films as his TV shows were not shown over here - well, not as far as I know. Patricia is fine, we try to get rid of her but she keeps hanging around ha ha.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a fantastic card, one that would be so apt for the culinary geniuses amongst us....yes, i can see you gesticulating wildly there Yvonne, and no, I didn't immediately have you in mind:-). I love this card, the attention to detail is meticulous, I particularly like the embossing on the oven mitt that makes it appear padded. The apron can be adapted for so many hobbies and as a result, is so versatile when partnered with your other sets eg gardening, tools, BBQ set etc. Beautiful, cute card, thanks for the ideas Sue, i need all the help i can get:-)
Apologies for my absence yesterday, I don't have a valid or justifiable reason unlike Rosemary, i merely had a busy day and by the time i settled down....just in time for Strictly of course!....i was too tired to write my usual verbose monologue:-)
Rosemary, I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL's attack, i do hope that he recovers soon because it can be such a worry when they reach such a ripe old age. Yes, i was glued to Strictly last night, slightly surprised by some of the scores but already eyeing up some favourites. The new judge did really well i thought , though it does seem strange without Len still, just need to get used to the new format. Hope you enjoy the show, hair and make up was fabulous, wish i could be Strictlified!
Carmen, I'm here honey, safe and well, just got caught up with X Factor and Strictly last night and lost track of time:-( I'm a bit obsessed if truth be known, and if it wasn't for these programmes getting me through the darker, drearier days of Autumn i would be a basket case....shut up Yvonne! How's your son doing at Uni? Have you heard from the Kid lately? Oh, before i forget, my Mum knows about the tickets, i like to give her plenty of time to steadily work herself up into a state of virtual hysteria:-)
Sherry, welcome to the bestest blog in the world!
Donita, happy anniversary! Goodness, how time flies, now you're just an old fart like the rest of us:-)
Maureen, who on earth was Gene Autry? I've heard of the Lone Ranger and remember Champion the Wonderhorse which was shown every morning during the school holidays however Gene Autry is a mystery to me....i bet Yvonne is old enough to know him!
Elaine, i am so sorry that Andrew is struggling, it must be so hard for you, Helen and John, watching him suffer:-( I wish there was something i could say or do to make it easier for you all, instead i will just keep you in my thoughts and will him to improve. Sending healing cuddlesxxx
Pam, happy anniversary to your daughter, hope she enjoys her trip away.
My Mum spent the afternoon visiting my nephew so i had the house to myself for a few hours so you know what that means...yes, i could watch Julia demo the weaving dies and boy did i enjoy every second. I too think that they are my most favourite dies that Sue has produced, the cards that Julia had created were stunning and her enthusiasm was infectious....hey, i might even be prompted to make a card of my own....well, maybe not!:-)
Yvonne, how are the wrinkles enjoying their stay? Have you cooked them scabby roast potatoes yet? Me?Jealous?
Maria, lovely to see you back, take care honey, hope you are wellxxx
Huge cuddles to all my blog besties and anyone in need of a hug or threexxx

I'm still trying to watch programmes on Catch up as I have to watch it on my iPad! Virgin Media - are you listening - we've got about 30 sports channels at least and I can't get Hochanda!
Well we have been down memory lane! I remember Roy Rogers but it was on TV as we had no cinema in our village and I remember watching at home! " Don't fence me in!" Was a favourite song and " A four- legged friend!" Oh wow - that's a while ago!
Donita he did stay faithful to Dale!
Donita - Happy First Birthday!!
Patricia - is fine just come back from holiday and busy as ever!
Diane has been away too but should be home now!
Lorraine - I had heard of Gene Autry but that's all! There are some real old fogies on here you know!! Don't laugh but I forgot about Strictly! I guess I'll live!
