So Many Candles

Good morning all!  We are starting off with a new expressions die; So Many Candles.  The eagle eyed among you might have noticed it on last nights shadow box sample.  Yes it was designed to be bold, but also to fit inside of the shadow box design as well.  I love that you can make a quick clean and simple card with this set when needed.  Use the candle from the shadow box set and voila, you have a quick card.   It is also a funny way of wishing someone of the older persuasion a Happy Birthday too (yes I o fit in that category too! LOL)   What do you think?  Want a chance to win this one, just add your name to the comments to be included.  The next post will be popping up online at noon today.  I hope you can drop back by to check it out!  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card to start Day 4, love the sheer fun and joy of this die set. I too fit well into that category.
Sue and all going to Ally Pally today, I wish you all a wonderful day, so much to see and do, lots of meet ups and hapoy shopping. Big sigh.
Helen, I didn't see your comment but thank you, it would be nice to meet you too. I think you are doing well back on the blog, keep it up, you have lots of friends here.
Yvonne, hope you manage to get there on Sunday too.
Laine, shame you can't make it this year, like me you will just have to watch from afar.
Elaine, hope Andrew is feeling better, John too. Did Helen and your grandson get to the wedding in Florida.
Happy weekend everyone, special thoughts for our poorly and missing pals.

Morning Sue. Oh how I agree with this statement and each year only gets worse, I started avoiding mirrors years ago. With every year that goes by my self esteem and confidence follows - Ooh dear, I'm sounding sooo needy right now and I'm really not lol. I love this sentiment and it's put a smile on my wrinkled old face lol so thank you ☺ I usually cut the candles from the circular Happy Birthday cupcake die, but the candles from yesterday's SB collection are a much nicer size to use multiple times and won't get lost in a design like the tiny candles you've provided with the tiny cupcake so all in all brilliant ☺ if you manage to get to AP this weekend I hope you enjoy watching these new collections fly outta the door. Looking forward to our next post from you at midday. Sending much love and hugs xxx

Dear Sue and Wilsonettes,

Gosh, it must have take awhile to cut all those candles one at a time! But they do look happy in primary colors at the top of your card.

You sure are demonstrating interesting uses for the octagons. How did we ever live without them?

I might have wanted the words to say: "So many candles, too little cake." But this could be why you're the designer with 5,000 followers and I'm not.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of Saturday's offerings.

I hope we get to see Ally Pally photos.

Princess Pixie, the wind blows through the trees at your house and what comes down but a full September release of steel dies! So happy for you! Well done. I do admire your decision, and I'm incredulous that they've already arrived. Clicking "add to cart" for all those die sets must have taken just as long as cutting out 12 candles one by one.

Elaine, condolences to you and your husband. I hope you will find ways to enjoy his good days with him. My Dad went through a lot before he took Mom to a care home. He did take her when she needed to be watched 24/7 and he couldn't. He learned that it's better to take someone too soon rather than too late. Mom would be up at 3 a.m. looking for her keys to drive to "rehearsal". Luckily, she could never find her keys. She was never in anything that had rehearsals!

Enjoy the rest of Saturday's rollout and any other crafty things you're up to,

Great card. Great sentiment and I too belong in this category. Not feeling quite so old today as I had a facial yesterday and when I got home I went onto a well known moisturiser website and uploaded a photograph of my face. My face was analysed as being in my fifties - probably because it was so well moisturised but I was well chuffed. Great one for the many men we all make cards for too.
Hope you all have the best day you can especially those going to Ally Pally. Wish I could join you.

Elaine, I was sorry to read of John's diagnosis, but at least you got the diagnosis! Half the battle sometimes is getting the medical proffession to admit what, as family, we already know. Now you can at least get the treatment John deserves.
