Thanks For Everything

Hello there my crafty friends!  I thought I would see what I could find in my folders of cards that have been made with older die releases as I get asked for these all the time!  I found this pretty card so I thought I would share it with you.  This is the ultimate in simple and easy, but it has a lovely look to the end result I think.  I started by cutting some of my Classic Elegance paper into strips following the pattern.  I added mounting foam to raise them and separate the strips ever so slightly.  I cut two of the Striped Swirl Edger in white and glued them to the top and bottom of the card.  For the focal element, I cut the Mauritius die in white and attached it with foam to the centre of the card.  I cut the Maldives die  inner die and backed it in white and added it to the middle.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre of the Seychelles die set and inked it lightly with Shaded Lilac, then added it to the centre of the card.  White on white mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Love the card Sue, beautiful. The sentiment us perfect for you Sue.
Elaine, so happy that Andrew is pleased with the recipes and he is raring to try them. He needs to keep his strength up. Hope you got your baby Jacket finished. I'm trying to knit fir the African babies again but can't sit at it for long.
Saba, enjoy your time with the grandchildren. And also your time at your cottage. I watched a Home or Away programme the other day. The home was Yorkshire and the presenter used the phrase Gods Own Country too. Enjoy some cuddles with your new grabdpuppy too, he sounds adorable. Drive carefully.
Lynda, I'm sorry to hear about your little dog, so sad, she was really just a baby, no wonder you are devastated.
Muriel, you must be home now and no doubt absolutely exhausted, have a good long sleep to recover.
Sam enjoy your holiday, hooe your hotel has wifi so that you at least won't miss commenting on the launch. Have a great time.
Same goes for you too Crewe Trish, I hope all goes well with the cruise arrangements. Have a wonderful time.
Daily hugs to all, our poorly and missing friends and our peeps away on their holidays.

Dear Sue and Loyal Commenters,

The edger and Mauritius were made to go together, weren't' they! Okay then, I added it to my shopping cart. Together, they really have a different look. More stripe than swirl. The striped paper behind them, and the stripes between the sections, are so pleasing.

On Sunday I cut up a storm, seeing how my new Christmas dies look in different colors. You're going to make a poinsettia person out of me yet. They look great in red stardream.

Lynda, my heart goes out to you. Grieve well.

Elaine, I forgot about potato patties, and hash browns made with grated potatoes. Almond butter and Nutella are lovely in oatmeal.

Today is Labor Day in the U.S. My labor will be on my Platinum. And finding my kitchen under all those dishes.

Morning Sue. This is absolutely gorgeous what a way to start the week. It's so delicate, the shades you've used are a match made in heaven as are the dies you chose. The sentiment is returned to you as during the few weeks I had away, your beautiful inspiration kept me smiling and reminded me what I was missing and what I loved so much. I now have to try and find an hour or two to get back that feeling which I'm finding difficult just now. I just need time and enthusiasm to make just one then the mojo will hopefully flow. In the meantime I send love and hugs and wish you a day of laughter and happiness xxx

Hi Sue, this is a lovely gentle card. That may seem an odd description but when I first saw it I thought how peaceful it was. I had a quick look this morning on my tablet and it showed as cream and grey but now I am on my lap-top and can see the true colours it is even more beautiful. I too love your paper pad and am always reluctant to use it in case I run out and have nothing left to gloat over :-)

Lynda's Crafts - so sorry for you, your little dog at four was still so young. If that is her in your profile picture she was beautiful.

Beautiful card as always Sue. You have such a wonderful flair and I do wonder where you get all your energy and inspiration from. I'm a relative newbie to card making, not sure whether it's 2 or 3 years since I had my first lesson and I've become addicted to buying dies. At my age (86) I'll never get round to using them all.
Having said that ,I decided this last week to sort them all and use 'Word' to make a list and tell me where they all were. I thought it would take me a few hours but in fact it took a few days!!I then counted them and was a bit horrified to find that I have 179 dies so why do I rarely have the dies that you use Sue? If I hadn't spent so much on the dies I might be looking for a more expensive house!!
I'm waffling on so I'll shut up now.
Love to all and hugs where they are needed. Marie in Lancashire.
