Winter Scene

Hi there my crafty friends!  I am sharing one of my favourite cards using the Forest Animals today.  I cut the Birch Tree Background out of a leftover piece of card that I have crackled using the CE Crackle Glaze and matte paints.  I just loved how the birch trees looked when cut from it so I used it as the basis for my card.  I created an evening background for it  simply by selecting a piece of cobalt card and using a Smoothie with White Cloud ink on it to create a moon glow in the background and added some darker black soot ink above it.  I attached the birch over it and cut a double oval aperture (two pieces of card with different sized ovals) to frame it out of coconut white card.  To the front of the card, I added some trees glittered with Iced Snow, the log, the male deer and two Snowflake corners all cut from white card.  I cut the mother and baby deer in white and put them in the framed forest.  White on white mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/4" in size.  I hope you like it as much as I do!  All for now, Sue x
