Here Comes Santa Shaker Card

Hi crafters!  Today's video is to show off one of the new scenes for the snow globe die that we launched last year.  The Here Comes Santa scene is so cute though, perfect for those Christmas shaker cards!

There is more on Hochanda all day today and tomorrow!  Julia Watts will be showcasing the Snowglobe die shown here too!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card Sue.. Love the elegant look of this Sniwglobe.
Loved your shows on Hichanda last night. You looked so well and happy it was a joy to watch your enthusiasm fior the dies and cards. I must say I always love your pretty tops too. Can't wait to see what Julia has planned. The gang look so funny as commandos, definitely not a Phil look, he doesn't do dirt very well.
Saba, now that is what I call a Ctiatian holiday, sunbathing, resting, glass of wine no doubt, perfect. Hooe it's sunshine all the way now.
Elaine, hooe you get sorted for your ears soon. Another bugbear of getting old.
Rosemary, what a diary list you have. Are you a Strictly fan by any chance lol. You have knocked Laine for six.
Laine, you sound so much better I'm happy to say, does Mum know about her treat yet?
Yvonne, get those batteries charged, too much gallivanting is wearing you out.
Little lamb my daughter goes on holiday to Mexico on Tuesday so I haven't told her as I don't want her to worry. It is a Silver Wedding celebration for them and her first holiday in 12 years, she won't leave her horses but this is a special occasion. I'll speak to Union though.
Daily hugs to all, especially Donita now she is in the hugs club. Thinking of all poorly and missing friends.

I will record the shows today as I am Of out to a craft open day
I'm not used to getting up at this hour anymore lol
Pam I will echo your perfect comments again today. Thank. You
Well I had better get my backside in gear and get dressed as my other half is making me some breakfast downstairs and I have a friend to pick up
Hugs to all that need one Have a wonderful Weekend

Morning Sue, yes - morning already I'm afraid ! At some point your busy feet may make contact with the ground, it's non stop for you at the moment isn't it ? But hey Sue, at least you had Yanis to keep you upright if you started to wilt so not a bad consolation lol.
I've never ever found the confidence to make a shaker card, I did start off with good intentions but I did something wrong along the way so have up lol I'm determined to win this craft war I have with myself so I'd better take all the help I can get from you by starting with today's video tutorial which I'm really looking forward to watching, then I can put these snow globes on my list too. Will have today's shows recorded as I have Lottie duties today and over night and well gone have the days when I can sit watching cradling her tiny new born sweetness in my arms it's full of activity and 2yr old chatter - jee, 2 years old !
So enough now, and I know that if you are in the studio today it will be full of fun and the contagious laughter of that lovely Mr Phill will fill the building, how can you not laugh when Phill starts lol makes me grin just thinking about it lol. So have a good day whatever your day holds, and I'll send my love and hugs as I do every day

Good morning Sue. Fabulous card and video, I love being able to craft alongside you! The shows last night were wonderful, it's lovely to have you back on screen. Today's are all set, well the whole day is set in fact! Wish Hochanda had a live studio audience, bet it would be a hoot.
Pam, I understand your not telling your daughter but please, please do contact your union and make sure you have someone with you at every meeting, even get your phone out, put it on the desk and tell the bosses that you are recording the meeting?
Finished my first week in my new job and my feet are killing me but my new colleagues are the kindest, loveliest people I could have wished for; they are very encouraging and supportive - something I'm not used to. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Dear Sue and all those glued to Hochanda,

Watch out for the Hollandaise! At the banquet for your 25th anniversary of Particraft, I'll do a compilation of great predictive text moments.

This must be my first anniversary, or near it, as one of your fans. I had never heard of Hochanda, but I found it online and watched some of the takeover last year.

I like how you used different embossing folders for the video and the stills. Hard to decide between the stars or swirls. The video card looks better, maybe because of the lighting. This card really gives the debossed snowflake edge a place to shine.

Thanks for your warm welcome to the love and hugs club. And cuddles. You guys are so funny. I have stayed well away from the edge of the unruly ocean, unlike Saba, practically soaking in it. All I personally experienced was a few small branches in the road on my way home Thursday night, but I met lots of interesting people this week, among them a charter boat fleet owner, several surfers, lots of wave watchers, a folk artist who lives the other half of the year in Florida, on an island off Key West that seceded from the U.S. and became the Conch Republic and he became its secretary of homeland security, you could look it up, a bait and tackle store owner, a very inebriated bar patron who taught me how to predict when a big wave was coming, a bouncer, several Tibetan monks who were visiting the University of Rhode Island to create a sand painting of a 5-foot-wide mandala and a whole bunch of landscape architecture students watching the monks. I also learned how to post a YouTube video as a reporter for my paper.

Elaine and Rosemary, I started wearing glasses in third grade. Contacts in high school, college and young adulthood. Back to glasses in my dotage, as Crewe Trish would say.

Carmen, I'm willing to wait for slow shipping if I can get hexagon and star shaped glitter jewels and the Creative Expressions embossing adapter and raspberry plate.

Pam, how can you have a daughter who's been married 25 years?

Laine, I'm not worried about a strong gust of wind carrying off my Mopsi, but I am worried that a white owl like I saw the other day, with probably a four-foot wingspan, might. I've never seen a white owl, and never such a big owl. We startled each other when my headlights hit him. He was on the side of a country road, probably eating something he'd caught.

P Austin, isn't Cape Town just coming into spring?

That's my report. Going to watch the takeover on my computer while eating a late dinner,

Love and hugs (I'm not sure I can do cuddles),

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I so love the shaker cards and this one is no exception, Wow what a few weeks you have had, you must be so tired yet you looked brilliant on Hochanda last night, and loved your shows. I must admit that the Gingerbread die set, as much as I loved it when it came out I wasn't sure that I would get the use out of it but after seeing your show, well I am hooked, so looks like I will be ordering it once my bank balance is a little healthier ha ha!!.

Stephanie they are easy to do once you have tried the first one, the video is going to be very useful to you with step by step visual instructions, I always love Sue's video's.

Pam I reiterate all you have said, hope your daughter has a lovely anniversary and holiday in Mexico, a place I would like to visit.

Well I can hear you in Hochanda now Sue so will sign off because you are doing the Fireplace.

Hello Sue,
Love these cards, and I've just been watching you on TV making a background as on the first card shown. I have to say that I've been singing Here Comes Santa Claus since I saw the heading on your post today. Even worse, I remember Gene Autry singing it!! Now most of the Wilsonettes will say "who is Gene Autry" ha ha.
Pam, I hope your daughter and husband have a wonderful Anniversary in Mexico. How thoughtful of you not to want to worry her while she's away. Hopefully the union will pull it's finger out and stand up for you.
Donita, love your post today. You've met some fascinating people this week, and corresponded with more on here!! Of course you can do cuddles. They are just like hugs but cuddlier!!! How old are you in Third Grade, I went to see Pat Boone when he was over in Newcastle upon Tyne when I was 13 and couldn't see him very well, although we were at the front. By the time I got my specs I was 14.
Elaine, if you were late at 11.04, what am I? (Don't answer that!) Hope you get your ears sorted out soon and that all is well with the family.
CraftySueToo, pleased to read that the first week went so well - except for sore feet. Good workmates and bosses are a blessing.
Love to all

So much fun....not hard, Stephanie C. Watch Sue's video as she explains so well.
Donita, watch Mopsi as a hawk got my groomer's little Chihuahua. Made me feel sick.
Maureen I do remember Gene Autry. I was a huge cowboy fan as a child. We had horses.
Enjoy your weekend everyone...not quite lunch time here.

Good morning all. What a delightful card Sue. I often wish I could see well enough and hear well enough to make a TV purchase but I got rid of mine years ago as it was driving me nuts not being able to see or hear it well. I must say that I am thankful for what I have and try not to be envious of what I have not.
I remember buying some acetate cups with the idea of making a snow globe card when I was a complete novice and my card was a disaster so I've never tried it since. Maybe when this house move is over I should have another go.
