Anything For You

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a proper opening sort of card to share with you today! LOL   Rather than trying to explain how I created this card, I am going to refer you to the very top of my blog where there are several visual tutorials there for you.  The one entitled "Fancy Nestie" was created some time ago using a Spellbinder die at the time, but this is exactly the same technique that I used to create today's blog card.  I used the Tahiti die for my mine focal element, along with the Pacific Ocean border (on the right side of the card).  The border on the left of the card with the pearl strip attached is from the Linear Elegance Edger die set.  This sort of flip and fold card can be created using so many different shapes that the end result is virtually endless, you just need to follow the instructions in the tutorial.  The finished dimensions are 5 1/2" x  6" (front folded size) in size.

The winners of this week's Comment Game are:

Crafty Jo!!!
Welsh Dors!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Lovely Card Sue. Very dramatic.
Congratulations to Comment Game Winners, enjoy your prizes Saba, Crafty Jo and Welsh doors.
Rosemary, I hope you are feeling a little better. Thank goodness your husband was there to help you. I see the Consultant for a review on Oct 5th, think I may get told then about op, no date yet.
Muriel. Enjoy your couple of days with family, you have a long drive home. So glad you enjoyed your big adventure, now you need a rest. It's so nice to go travelling but oh so nice to come home, lol. Think there is a song in there somewhere.
Littlelamb you will be happy that your family are at last home and can sleep in their own beds. You must be eager to see them.
Elaine, I hope Andrew is able to enjoy his breakfasts again, some of those recipes were so delicious. Helen is going to be busy trying them all to find out what he likes. I hope you are well, and that John is doing alright too.
Donita, you sound like my kind of cook, I want to eat breakfast lunch or dinner at your house.
Kelly, the boys and puppy Dave came yesterday, he is growing so fast. It was fun to see the boys and puppy rolling round the floor all having fun. Then my eldest grandson called in with his boxer before I went to bed just to check on me, he is a delightful young man.
Daily hugs to all, have a great Sunday. Special thoughts to all poorly and missing friends.

Hi Sue. I remember watching this video the very first day I found you and Particraft. I was so new to crafting then, card kits and easy decoupage was my limit lol and wasn't I the bee's knees - NOT lol that was the day 'proper' card making entered my head and I've never looked back.
This is such a lovely card Sue, fantastic in many shades and brilliant to give to any gender for any occasion. I shall look over the video again later just to see if it makes more sense now than it did all those years ago lol.
Sending love hugs and a day of happiness, sunshine and laughter xxx

Hi Sue,
A most striking card, colour combination is fabulous, and I remember this being made some years back now. I stopped buying Spellbinders since you brought yours out, it's amazing how time flies.
I did several cards with that design and will just have to do it again..... Thanks for showing us , there'll be plenty of crafters who haven't seen it done yet.

Hi Sue,

I remember this technique and watching you demo it live too - and today you've used it with my favourite from the Pacific Islands sets...fabulous!

Elaine - how lovely to read all those recipes for Andrew's breakfast - the only thing I can come up with is my favourite breakfast (when I can be bothered to eat so early in the day) is some chopped fresh fruit, a couple of generous dollops of thick plain yoghurt, a drizzle of honey and some crushed hazelnuts sprinkled on top...I have read somewhere that bananas are a good source of potassium too...

Congratulations to the Comment Game winners.
