Thanks Ever So Much

Hello my friends!  I hope everyone had a lovely weekend (maybe even some crafting time? LOL)  Today's card looks to be very straight forward, but there is a tiny twist to it.  I have used the Tuscany die set to create most of this card.  Using a piece of coconut white card, I cut the largest die in the Tuscany set to make an aperture.  The aperture had four distinct areas where the die has a larger detail.  Next, I used the same die a second time and off set it so that the four distinct areas were lined up between the original die cut, creating an aperture that appears to have eight scalloped areas.  I cut two of the Tuscany dies in white (using the first full die cut as one, then cutting one more) and recessed them down into my aperture, overlapping them to fill both areas.  I cut the centre panel from the Tuscany out of dusty rose card and lightly inked the rose areas with Milled Lavender bringing them into prominence a bit more.  I applied a sticky adhesive sheet to a piece of white card then cut a larger circle out of it.  I covered it with Glacier Ice (similar to Iced Snow, but they are cylindrical pieces instead of round).  I mounted this piece under my rose centre circle in the middle of my aperture.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Decorative Frames from the Italian Collection.  I inked it lightly with Victorian Velvet before removing it from the die and then mounted it with foam in the middle of my focal element.  I made a rose from my Classic Rose die set using coconut white card, then "sugared" it with Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue and Glacier Ice.  I seated it on some white tulle surrounded by Faux Quilled Leaves cut from white card.  I pierced a white mat around the card, then added a thin rose mat and a final white mat.  I completed the card with flatback pearls in the corners.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes.
Lordie, Lordie, Lordie ! If I had socks on you'd blow em clean off Sue ! Day by day, week by week, month by month you constantly show us new idea's, new and different ways to show your dies to perfection, how ? I know Im not alone when I say I sit here every day, mouth agog, ooooing and arrrring at your inspiring talent, we all say it, but how on earth do you get your constant idea's ? Are you sure you're human ? You must have some kind of 'craft chip' cuz these fab idea's and cards full of inspiration just keep coming. What a way to start our new week. The.sentiment says it all ... Thank you so much.

Pam - I shall be thinking of you as you start your new routine. Im sure everyone will be so glad to see you back and give you a warm welcome back hug. Rest up when you get home, it maybe only 3 hour's but a bad night, anxiety, and a different day to what you are use to will be quite tiring for you. But like all your other Wilsonette sisters, I send you love.
Its the day we get to see one of the new CEDT members and I cant wait to see new idea's, if any of our Wilsonettes have been honoured to be chosen to design for such an amazing company, I wish for you an amazing, exciting year ever.
Sending gentle hugs to all that have started the week not feeling so good. I hope to craft this week for the first time in weeks.
Have a good day.
Love you.

Now that's a true 'Sue Wilson' piece of art. Thank you for bringing me back 'from the dark side'(lol).
White with a little soft colour and you just cannot go wrong. Your Italian dies are absolutely wonderful to work with (as are all your dies) and they have done all the work for you today. Just beautiful. I would love love love this to come through my door.

Pam - am thinking of you today. Take care.
Steph - lovely to see your post this morning. Not quite back to yourself but on the way young lady.

I really do not like dark mornings and today is just that. Very dark; dull; damp and we're only at the beginning of Autumn. Ah we heating on; slow cooker for a beef stew to be put on and hopefully a bit of crafting is today's recipe.
To all who are not 100% hope you feel better soon. To all take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

They went to Helmsley and then Gisbrough Hall for lunch and then finally to Wynyard Hall for coffee but my sister had already arranged for my aunt to have her nails done there as a treat. She was well chuffed! I'm taking her for afternoon tea at Rockcliffe Hall one day next week so she will be able to dress up a little and take her mind off things. Good morning Sue and Wilsonette angels,
Oh how pretty is this card Sue, so so pretty. I love how you have turned the die and cut it again to give you and 8 pointed effect. The white with the rose coloured card is so pretty but still so delicate a shade. But my favourite part of the whole card is all the leaves and the beautiful rose as it just finishes it off to a tee. Gorgeous Sue, simply gorgeous. Thank you for continually inspiring us like you do as i really do appreciate that and your time, talent and friendship.
Sorry i didn't realise it was your anniversary Sheila. I hope that you and your lovely hubby had a lovely day as it is wonderful to see you celebrating so many years of the giving and taking that marriage brings. I love to see how many years the various Wilsonettes have notched up in marriage as it is not a easy path, it takes a lot of working at to make a marriage work and last (although we could throttle them sometimes when they don't listen). Congratulations flower.
Diane, leave the making friends with the floor, pavement and road to us experienced trippers. I hope you are ok though flower as i wouldn't like you to have to get it all done again. Please be extra careful.
Pam, you will be fine flower. I hope your new team have welcomed you back with gusto this morning. You are a clever, intelligent lady who will have forgotten more things than some of them will ever know, so deep breath and one step in front of the other...GO.
FANTASTIC Tina, i wish you a year full of a lot of fun flower. What great news to come into this morning.
Alison, a belated happy birthday to a beautiful, strong lady. I am so glad that she had such a lovely time with her sister. I take it Rockcliffe Hall is a "posh" place that she can get all done up to go to, well i hope that both of you have a lovely day when you go.
Why is it some men think that you can use dies and not make a mess with all the wee cut out bits. As i explained to my brain of britain hubby, "can he saw wood and not create any sawdust"? His answer "but that's different, of course you can't cut wood without making sawdust." I thought making it analogy that he could relate to would allow him to understand the mess, obviously not. Awh well all the cutting out is done so just to put it all together now as my helper doesn't know what's straight and what's not, or what's centred and what's not as she just slaps the things on because she can't she what difference it makes. So back on my owneo. Oh how i wish you could see the colours that the sun is bringing out in the landscape around me at the moment as they are so beautiful. Have a great day everyone and i will see you all tomorrow. Sending hugs to all my angels both here on blog and not, i hope that they will be back soon.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Norah - you brighten my day daily! I really mean that. I have a friend who doesn't do straight either - says it gives the card the handmade look! I've given up trying to explain. It's like my husband with squint pictures or mirrors on the wall. It drives him mad - has to straighten them.
Must go as this is the day for the Kids Club.
Love to everyone,
Heather T , pleased news on your brother is a little better. Thinking of you both. X

Hi Sue

A really pretty, intricate and detailed card. It's really brightened this miserable grey day in Suffolk! I love the glitter on the roses. When I'm up to playing I like to coat flowers in UTEE, I think a but of glitter on the tips wilk make a massive difference. I love the recessed die cut too, I love to play with height and colour so will try it on my Christmas cards.

First, congratulations Tina Eldridge and the other Creative Expressions DT mwmbers for the coming year. I can't wait to see what you make!

Pam, I hope your first day back has been good, make sure it's feet up this evening!

Tandy, I need to check back but I hope things are moving in the right direction.

Sorry I've not been about, what little pain relief the nerve blocks supplied has gone and I'm very sore! I still have lots of things to sort out as an employer- insurance, DBS check, contracts etc. Dull, dull, dull but essential!

I also need to write to my consultant in London. I got a copy of the letter my local hospital that the nerve blocks sent to him, that the procedure "did not have the desired effect" and questioning the advice I had been given regarding surgery. No mention of the problems the procedure left me with, no mention of the one thing that went right. I don't think it's correct that he doesn't have the full story. The 2 paragraphs of 2/3 sentences letter they sent did not impress me or fill me with confidence. It's so hard to get an out of area referral now and I can't see the GPs being happy to write an extra letter so it's the only way I see of getting the full story to the specialist is to tell him myself. He is a very understanding person and knows I wouldn't waste his time on purpose. I wouldn't have faith in writing to any other Dr./ Consultant in this way.

So more pain= more meds= more tired... I shall try fight that for a few hours. I'm now going load up on caffiene, take some med, pop on a brace and have an hour (or two if I'm careful) off from everything and go up the table. My storage decoration is coming on slowly and I must have it done asap so I can make my dad a birthday card and start the Christmas cards- oh nearly forgot, ordered one of Sues bauble stamps (snowflake) and the pine bough yesterday. Can't wait for a play!

Ok that's me, sorry it's mostly moaning. I hope everyone is ok, special hugs to Sue and my special Wilsonette friends and extra hugs if you are ill, in treatment, recovering or in any type of pain. I will get back on track with comments once I've got this busy bit out of the way.

Happy crafting,

T x
