Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!  This is one of my favourite Forest Animal cards and I thought it would make a lovely Wednesday card giveaway (I hope you do too!).  I started by cutting the Birch Tree Background out of milk card.   I extended the background to create a larger forest area. I did three of these exactly the same way.  Next, I inked all three of the backgrounds with Antique Linen distress ink to add some depth.  I left one background exactly as I cut it, but I cut a few of the trees out of the centre of the second one then attached it slightly offset over the full background.  On the third background, I cut away more of the centre trees, then added it with foam over the other two but slightly offset as well.  This created the illusion of a full forest.  I cut a piece of black card as a background for the forest and a large white circle for a moon. I glittered the moon and glued it into place before attaching the piece behind the birch forest.  Next, from the Forest Animal die set,  I cut the make deer, the fox, the log, the hedgehog and the small flying bird out of tan card and used the matching stamps called Forest Life inked in black to add detail to each of them.  I inked them lightly with tea dye and highlighted them with a soft white pencil then inserted them into the forest area with mounting foam.  I used the Double Pierced Rectangles to add a black frame around the entire piece.  Milk and black mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" " x  9 1/4" in size.  Please leave a comment if you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this one.  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post.  All for now,
Sue x
