Shabby Chic Festive Card

Hi crafters!  I have a shabby chic sort of Christmas card to share with you today and it uses one of the matching Stamps To Die For too.  If you are looking for something a bit different this Christmas, this is the card for you!

The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Love this beautiful card Sue. You do shabby with so much style, it's gorgeous.
Carmen, you sound so poorly, working a long shift in a cold environment won't do you good, inventory or not. Please take care.
Ann, hope your flight is sorted without too much worry. It said on news last night that all passengers would be brought home no bother. It is bound to spoil your holiday though and that is such a shame.
Rosemary. Don't fret about your so called disappearing friends, they weren't true friends. The same happened to me when I was widowed, I do think some people can't handle illness or grief so just disappear. Please don't let it make you ill.
Saba won't be long before you are back here again fir the Naughties meet up, don't know if it will be 9 this time. Hope they are all okay.
Donita, you area tonic. Poor Dad,does he know he is now world famous.
Karen hooe you are feeling better now.
Alimecca, sounds like you had a wonderful trip, bird watching.
My poor daughter in Mexico is in the middle of torrential rain, they are going to Chichen Itza today as well.
Meeting with Union rep today, hoping for good advice.
Have a good day all, hugs all round especially for poorly and missing friends.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, love the shabby Chic, especially the little robin poking out the middle, made me chuckle.

It is so terrible the atrocities, my heart goes out to all the victims and their families, when will it ever end.

Pam I love all your comments you keep us all up to date in a nut shell. Hope all goes well today for you.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Good morning Sue
Wow I NEED and love this Crackle glaze and chalk paint! I love it when you show us different techniques! It's a long time since I've used crackle glaze but it always used to fascinate me how no two cards were the same. I love your shabby chic card I'd forgotten how much I love the shabby chic look.

Morning Sue. This is adorable. I've never shabby chic'd anything and I doubt that I could, I'm certain my attempt would look like it's been round the floor several times and caught up in the vacuum roller !! You certainly know how to change up your festive samples - CAS, religious, bling and bow's, and every sample is just beautiful. Looking forward to watching you create this beautiful sample soon.
Sending hugs to keep you warm on the way xxx

Hi Sue,
Lovely card - love the little Robin! Like Steph, I've never done shabby chic and it would probably come out a right mess if I did!
Pam, hope your meeting goes well today x
Maureen, yes I did meet Diane and she is lovely but don't tell her I said so! X
Thank you for the lovely comments about my trip away. We did have a lovely time and just grateful that we went last week as some of the ferries were cancelled yesterday and one of the roads we used to go on quite a lot was closed because there was a big landslide on it! The only problem I had was that I put on a couple of pounds even though I was good and asked for salad instead of chips - looks like I'll have to increase my swimming today before I go and get weighed tomorrow!!!
Love and hugs to all especially those who have friends relatives caught up in yesterday's awful events, Alison xxx

Morning Sue,

Oh my, a gorgeous shabby chic, at which you are excellent in doing, on offer today. LOVING it.

Pam... good luck with your Union meet up. I hope they give you good advice.

Rosemary... I too lost a few 'friends' after my soul's other keeper Pete died. I came across a lovely saying that explained a lot to me why some are in our lives for such a short time.

Some people are there for a reason, to help when you need it. Some are there for a season and flit away like a butterfly. But true friends are the ones that stay forever in our hearts. They are the 'keepers'.

Hugs to all in need of one this morning. I hope your day becomes kinder to you.

Love 7 hugs

Dear Sue and Wilsonettes Old and New,

Love the crackles! Love the cheesecloth! Love the robin! Love the coloring, the poinsettias, the berry branches and the little white twigs!

This is a wonderful card. Pam said it first and, in my opinion, best: "You do shabby with so much style, it's gorgeous."

Carmen, I hope your misery breaks soon and you feel well for your vacation. So sorry your cold coincides with inventory.

Wishing the best to Pam with the union rep and Elaine with the shopping, baking, lasagna-making and tomorrow's breakfast.

You, my crafty friends, are generous with your positive comments.

Best of everything to all.

Hi Sue, This card is certainly different and a great alternative to more traditional cards. Love the robin. Hi Sue and everyone

I do reallly like your card today Sue, but unlike everyone else I don't like the cheesecloth. I don't mind it behind the robin, but I don't like the frayed edges. Sorry, I know I'm in the minority and I know it makes it look more authentic, I just prefer non shabby. Sorry. Though saying that, once I've watched the video and seen the card a few more times, I'll probably change my mind!

Pam, I hope you get good advice from the union rep today. Sorry you're having to use one. I feel, sorry for your daughter too. However, though I have never been to Chichen Itza, I know many people complained about the overwhelming heat when they have visited. It's because it is so open with no shade, and it usually involves a long journey and early start to get there, so people are often dehydrated very quickly. Hopefully the rain will ease and dry up quickly, but it may be cooler and better. It's one of the reasons we have not visited when we've been. We did stay in a Hotel a few years ago though that had a replica Chichen Itza. It was actually a bar inside, but it was done really well. I hopes she enjoys her visit.

Love Helen xxx

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

I utterly adore your shabby chic cards, in fact, i have such a passion for them i would be over the moon if you featured them at least once a week just to keep us on our toes and take some people out of their comfort zones. The little robin is so cute and truly evokes a feeling of Christmas and winter is here...and if the weather outside is anything to go by it began weeks ago! Love the cheesecloth, a shabby chic creation wouldn't be the same without it however I wouldn't have a clue about where to find it! Keep those festive themed cards coming Sue, i love each and every one:-)
Hugs to all my blog besties, hope you are all well and happyxxx

One of my Daughters who spends half of her time in Fuerta Ventura having bought a place there went to the travel agents on Friday
