Merry Christmas

Hi crafters!  I am beginning to realise that I have too many Christmas cards and will have to post a few here and there so I don't run out of time to show them all!  I particularly liked this one and was planning on using it for a Wednesday Card giveaway, but it has gone missing somewhere along the way, who knows where!  I started by cutting the Twinkle Star Frames out of white and I backed it with white card too, but I cut it in half and took a bit out of the middle before reassembling it to make it a bit smaller.  Next I cut the Holly Lattice outer die and the Noelle Frame outer die together out of gold mirror card to create a wider frame.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it and added it over another Twinkle Star frame cut out of Antique Gold card.  I trimmed away the excess from under the edge of the frame and backed it in white.  I added it with foam to the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the pierced flags and gave it a gold mat using the next size up in the set.  I attached it across the frame then created three red poinsettias edged with a gold paint pen..  I seated the flowers around the card and added Berry Bough accents cut in Antique gold card.  I cut the Holly Swirl die in white and used several of them to accent the card as well.  The card was completed by added white, red and gold mats and layers and small flatback pearls to the Twinkle Star frame junctions.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card Sue, lovely start to my Monday, this is truly stunning.
Barbara, your poor little granddaughter but what a star she has been. Obviously loves her Nanny too. Hooe all goes well with her recovery. I have heard that one handed cookies have extra get well medicines in them for little girls.
Maureen, Brian is an absolute hero, that is the kind of person who should be on the Queens Honours List.
Saba, now you are safely home, please try to get some rest to recover your energy.
Ann, Hapoy Birthday, enjoy your Gemini, I have one too, it's great.
Elaine, hope Andrews visit today goes well. He really needs someone to just understand what he is going through and give positive help.
Happy birthday to Maria's son too.
June, well done on your prize. I saw the video on YouTube, you were right there, it looked a lovely informal group.
Thank you everyone for your lovely support, I have emailed Sue, haven't had a reply yet, I know how busy she is but at least it's not a no, time will tell. I'll let you know as soon as I do.
Daily hugs to all, especially our poorly and missing friends, Rosemary, Laine, Yvonne, Nirah, Patricia, Wheeley, we miss you all.

Good morning Sue. Stunning card, think I may have seen it on one of your shows - or perhaps during the launch- and admired it then too. Love how you've lined up the stars on the focal point to exactly match the pattern, that attention to detail is just incredible.
Good luck to Pam and Andrew today. Ann, enjoy your Gemini, love mine! Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Morning Sue. I know the majority of us wouldn't mind if you show cased a festive card everyday because the newest collection don't scream C.......s just gorgeous and elegant just like today's beautiful sample, no matter how much attention I give my cards there always seems to be something that could be better, I think one of my problems is that my paper cutter does weird things, the edge of the card or paper looks straight until I add it to another mat then it looks like it's uneven just at the very tip, so then I have to decide which of the mats need a quick trim, before you know it they've all had a tiny snip to make them look straighter and then I sit a wonder if I have uneven wonky eyes lol 👀 but from start to finish your work always looks perfect, ohhh to have half a SW brain !
Have a rushed card to do today so attention to detail is a must as it's an 80th and I have free reign for once woohoo, no mad crazy hobbies or likes to fit in somewhere, so I can go mad and choose whichever colour, die and design I want for a change lol oh happy Monday ☺
On that note, my usual love and hugs are packaged up and on their way and hope that whatever you have planned goes as planned xxx

Dear Sue,

This card, or one like it, sold me five or six die sets. And later I bought the poinsettias. Everything element is fabulous, and together they take best in show!

Pam, what a darling thing to say to Barbara Macaskill, that one-handed chocolate chip cookies have special healing powers. And Barbara, how nice that your granddaughter takes after you. And what a bonding experience you two had. Thanks for telling us that adorable story.

Ann Toppcards, Happy Birthday! And what a wise and handsome husband you have, for buying you a Gemini.

Thanks, Izzy, for teaching us Americans how to distinguish a tart tin from a muffin tin.

June, you really deserved the top prize. You are just amazing!

Maureen Killen, what a resounding success you had, being part of raising 30,000 pounds for a good cause. I bet his idea takes hold all around the country.

Congratulations Crewe Trish on finding the carpet in your craftroom. Well done!

I know what you mean, Elaine, about feeling queasy in multifocal glasses. Getting the right fit should be part of the satisfaction guarantee.

Carol Edwards, I have one of those thing-swallowing safe places in my house, too. Maybe every house has one.

A lovely traditional card. Thanku Sue x

Hi Sue, I love this stunning card. I particularly like the gold Twinkle Star matched with the white one and the Berry Boughs also cut in gold, I would never have thought of either of these. I have most of the elements so will be trying my own version (hopefully later on today) but I am currently creating with the Robin Redbreast stained glass die, it is gorgeous.

Ann - Happy Birthday! Enjoy playing with your Gemini and new dies after your dance class.
Barbara - What a brave wee girl your granddaughter is, you must be so proud of her.
Maureen - what a fantastic sum raised at the Prom, Brian must be thrilled and I totally agree with Pam that it is people like him that should be honoured. Maybe you could nominate him?
Elaine - hope you get your glasses sorted, I have no problem with varifocals but my sister was like you and suffered from that sick feeling. Wishing Andrew Good Luck with all his appointments.

Carol, welcome to my World. I hide things away so carefully in case we are burgled, which we have been - twice - in our old house. First thing we did when we moved in here 37 years ago was have a burglar alarm installed. I've been known to put something "safely" away and find it YEARS later ha ha.
Ann, happy birthday and Gemini cutting!
Maria, happy birthday to your son - you don't look old enough to have a 26 year old!
Elaine, hope the hearing aid fitting goes well and that you get your specs sorted.
