Happiness Is Time Spent With A Friend

Hello bloggers!  I started by cutting the Looped Rectangles in white with two sizes that I matted together.  Next I cut the Hazel die with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  I coloured the white copy with blue and green alcohol ink markers, then I added the black die cut and glued it on top.  I cut the die in half through the centre and mounted each half so the cut edge was lined up with the top and bottom of the card.  I cut the Happiness Is Spending Time With A Friend sentiment in black and I added it to the backing die which I cut in white.  The sentiment was added to the middle of the card with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  7 1/2" in size.

All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. What a good idea to cut a die cut in half and to use half on the top of a card and half on the bottom. I would never have thought of using it in this way and I think it works very well to draw your eye in to the sentiment in the centre of the card.

Great card and a cutting into the main die certainly gives it a different look. WakeyL

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a beautiful creation, I like the way you have used 2 different layers of the looped dies to create the background as it goes well with the middle of the die, as always I love the colours and yes I have this die so will be having a go as soon as I get a chance.

Glads to see that you are well Ann Topp and enjoying your time in Turkey, we could do with some of that sunshine please.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue, a lovely card and sweet sentiment. I like the way you have cut a circle to create two half-moon shapes, it gives it another dimension.
