Thanks Ever So Much

Hi crafty friends!  This card is really one of my favourite layouts as it so simply shows off the dies at their best.  I love the backing paper and in my usual obsessed style, I covered it with micro beads for a nice textural look.  I know that I always split the comments when I do the dark cards, but I just love the sultry feel to these so I just can't stop myself, sorry!  I used the Adorning Square die set for this one.  It is quite intricate and beautiful, almost the look of an old fashioned handkerchief to me.  I cut two of them in the soft gold card using the three largest dies.  I offset them to create a lovely but simple focal element for my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment on black card using a clear perfect medium pad and heat embossed with gold detail powder.  I cut it out with the smaller dies in the set and glued it in the centre of my offset squares.  I tied a double bow using the black silky crush ribbon and adorned the centre of the bow with a metal button from my craft stash.  I added stick pins as a further accent and decided to lift it a bit with a gold mat before adding my double pierced black mats.  A trio of black pearls in the upper corners completed the card.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.

Morning Sue, what a beautiful and elegant card today - kind of Victorian look which is just stunning. At first glance I thought this was the Asian accents die but just shows off the versatility of the adorning squares that they can have a completely different look depending on how you use them!

Hi Sue, A lovely card but slightly heavy colours for my taste, so would probably choose a softer colour, but still fabulous. congrats to all the winners.

Though I love your lighter colored cards, I love this one too. Black looks so elegant! Please don't stop making the darker ones just because some people don't like them as much! :)

Evening Sue, a late comment from me today - what a sumptuous and very regal looking card. I love Adorning Squares and you have made it look perfection. Micro bead away I am there with you. It definitely has a sultry feel to it.

Hi Sue, not sure about this one for a lady but replace the bow and it would make a great male card.

I love this card, Sue. Another set of dies to add to my birthday wish list next month.

Beautiful colour combinations.

Bought your Celtic stamps to die for recently. Love them! So elegant.

Great to see you again on C & C.

Take care.
