Double Hugs Sunday

Good Sunday morning all!  Two Perspective card for you today.  The first card is a super simple card that really doesn't need much explanation.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and cut the larger plaque out of the top and the smaller plaque out of the bottom and backed it with a piece of black glitter card for a bit of bling.  Next I cut the Hugs die out of three colours; pale silver, pink and a darker silver card.  I cut Hugs out of black card for each of them and used them as a shadow and mounted them in a row down the card.  I completed the card with a simple white on white mat with piercing.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

Card number two uses the same Perspectives die but I have added the matching stamp for it this time.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Art Deco Rose Swirl embossing folder for texture in the background.  Next I cut an oval using the Double Pierced Oval Nobles Set B and added mounting foam to the back to raise it for dimension.  I used the decorative die in the Jubilee Striplet set to cut a few rows into a piece of coconut white card.  I used this on the upper half of the oval background and I used a piece of paper from my Classic Elegance paper pad on the lower part of the oval background.  I stamped the Hugs and Flowers Stamp To Die For stamp and coloured the flowers and cut it out and added mounting foam to raise in.  I seated it in the centre of the oval frame.  Using the opposite side pattern, I cut several Exquisite Poppies and made a couple of flowers which I seated in the corner of the frame with some white olive branches as accents.  I completed the card with a simple white on white mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.

Now for this week's Comment Game winners.  They are:

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Stunning cards both gorgeous but no 2 tips it for me this time.
Congratulations to comment game winners.
My new Garden shadow box arrived yesterday with Retail Therapy and Sport dies, they are stunning as always.
Sharon, so glad your daughter is home, how awful for her, it must have been so painful. You both need to rest and get better.
Elaine, good news for Andrew, he must have been worried, so good of his boss to call and reassure him. He doesn't need that added stress . Well done that manager.
June, hope you are still managing to get about your home safely and confidently. You are doing so well.
Tina, glad Peter hasn't got the bug. Hope his leg is sorted soon.
Lynda, how long will you be in for stent op. Thinking of you and wishing you well.
Tracey, as always you are in my thoughts, one step at a time, know your dad will be with you in your heart each and every day.
Tina, hope Mick is more settled and that you are coping well. Take care of yourself too.
Big warming hugs to all on this extremely frosty morning, my red car is now a glittery white.

Sunday Smiles to you Sue. Gorgeous, just gorgeous it's almost one for the lads and beautiful delicate sweet hugs for the girls. Like Pam, the second is my choice too, what with the beautiful design as a whole, your Nobles and your delicate pink paper not forgetting the pretty little floral element, it's just a beautiful way to send a hug. So on that note Sue, double hugs back to you, congratulations to our 3 ladies, and have a lovely day xxx

Good morning Sue and crafters all,
Your twofer cards are beautiful, but it's no2 for me as well. Although both using the same die it is so delicate and very lady like.

Congratulations to this weeks card winners!!!!

Pam - how are you today? Hope your having a relaxing weekend.
Peter is still feeling the cold, but there is no meat on his bones. Making him his favourite meat and potato pie for his tea tonight and loads of veg and gravy. Need to put the meat in for its second twos hours of cooking, then it has an hour this afternoon with the potatoes and gravy before it goes in its pie crust.
June Smith - hope you are moving a bit more freely today.

Love and crafty hugs to all

Two lovely cards Sue. The second one is definitely for a girl friend but if you changed the colour of the first card to blues or black and white it would be a great men's card. Thank you. Xx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I love double days because we get two for the price of one and todays offering are so beautiful, I think No 2 does it for me simply because I so love your papers but then No 1 looks fabulous with those words in the different layered colours, oh you are a tease Sue.

Congrats to the winners

Pam I hope you are feeling much better. I bet your car looks pretty all glistening with the frost but please be careful. It has been raining so hard here in Kent, I just hope that there is no flooding and that people are safe.

Still getting around the house with one stick, I found that I was limping and putting too much pressure on the other knee if I didn't use it, but I am sure I will be able to stop at some stage, got physio tomorrow, ouch, not looking forward to that. Still having trouble sleeping of a night but I don't want to take the morphine unless it is really, really necessary, I tossed and turned so much last night, turne4d the light on 3 times to read to see if that would send me off, both my poor hubby and I look like we needs 2 match sticks to keep our eyes open this morning. No worries we will get there.

Tina T, with all the rain and cold last night I do hope Peter is OK, and the meat and potato pie sounds delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about it, all that lovely thick gravy, I know Peter will enjoy it.

Sharon, oh your poor daughter, so pleased she is home, you can both comfort each other and rest and relax together, hugs to you both.

Elaine what wonderful news for Andrew to get a phone call from his boss at Bentley's to say his job is safe and they will welcome him back when he is better, how fantastic is that, I am sure that it will give Andrew the boast he needs, thank you Mr Bentley Boss.

Lynda, hope all goes well with the stent op, hugs.

Tracey, you are always going to get days like this, it is so natural, everyone of us who has lost someone close can relate to how you are feeling, Birthdays, Christmas and special days make it even worse but you must remember that your Dad is not suffering any more and he would not want you to be sad on these days, remember him with pride, talk and laugh with him (out loud or in your thoughts) it will help. I firmly believe that my Mum and Dad are sitting up there laughing together and still sharing every moment of my days, they are always with me in my heart. Special hugs xxx

Thinking of everyone suffering, or in pain, Tina, Mick, PP, Maureen, and everyone I have missed.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Well, after the awful day we had down here in my corner of Cornwall yesterday, this morning is quite sunny, although it's cloudy and still quite nippy. The snow from the other day seemed to decide it wasn't going to cross over from Devon, however, Exmoor had quite a bit. Keep warm and safe all of you who have the dreaded white stuff hanging around.
