Double Happily Ever After Sunday

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's double day features the Happily Ever After die set.  This first card was started by embossing a piece of milk card with the Jacobean Floral embossing folder.  I cut a double strip of cream pearls down the centre and ran them along the top and bottom edges of the embossed piece.  Next I cut the Happily Ever After decorative die three times, twice with a dusty pink (from my stash) and once from Chestnut brown card.  I backed all three with the opposite colours and cut the centres out to create three frames.  I staggered the frames and ran a piece of satin ribbon that had similar colours on it through the frames to create a buckle card.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with a small oval then mounted it on top of a decorative die from the Geneva die set.  I added this piece to the centre of the cards and then tied a double bow with the same ribbon and added it to the left side of the card.   I completed the card with a pierced milk mat, then added dusty pink and brown thin mats and a final milk mat.  The finished dimensions are 6" x  9" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

For card number two, I created a background using a Classic Elegance Paper pad selection in blue.  I cut two strips out of the same paper and mounted them above and below the focal element raised for dimension.  I added a strip of pearls to both sides of each strip as accents.  I cut the same decorative die as above three times out of coconut white card, then mounted white backing pieces on each of them.  I cut one in half directly down the centre and mounted it flush with each edge.  I added a whole one to the centre in a diamond orientation, then cut the last one so that it just nipped away a smaller portion on each side, leaving the centre of the die as waste (at least on this card) and added it on top of the side cut dies.  I cut a circle out of the decorative paper and added it to the centre of the card and then cut and stacked several of the sentiment die and glued them in place atop of the decorative circle in the centre of the card.   I cut several of the Exquisite poppy die in white and scrunched them and made three flowers.  I mounted them around the focal element with Olive branches as accents.  The card was completed with a white on white mat.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7 1/2" in size.

Lovely cards Sue, both stunning in their own right, love the difference between them too.
Congratulations to comment winners.
June, you sounded so much better yesterday, let's hope that corner us well and truly turned.
Tina, sorry that Peter is not well. I hope he is feeling better. Today.
Elaine, that was a long day for Andrew but a smile here and there from the staff would have helped him. I hope he is not too tired or sick after it all.
Lynda, glad to hear you are being good, although Tracey's version is slightly different from yours. Take it easy, your new dies will still be there. Gentle hugs for you.
Tracey, glad you have your sister to support you, this was a hard time for you both. You are amazing, remember that.
Sharon, glad to hear you are feeling a bit stronger.
Hugs to all, poorly, missing friends too.

Sunday Smiles to you Sue. Oh my word, what a wonderful start to my day. Two stunning cards today, really breath taking. The chestnut brown card and matching bow is absolutely gorgeous and I need that in my collection as soon as, imagin that mixed with milk card, almost makes your mouth water lol. I can't put into words how much I love sample one, and sample 2 sings the biggest song ever, it's so pretty and delicate, your photography shows every beautiful detail in both the gorgeous design of the Forever After die collection and the end result, your stunning samples. I'm hoping there is or will be a video tutorial covering both these samples as I'm sure I'd have them on a loop lol. Stunning, both absolutely stunning.
Well done to our 3 lucky ladies enjoy your gift ladies, your day has started the best way possible.

Well it's come round to market day ! After a manic week I wonder if it will all be worth all the crazy madness ! By 7pm last night I was being told "enough is enough love" " you won't feel well enough to go at this rate" so I cut mats and layers for the 7x7 children's cards, and put all the other little bits n bob's I was planning to use slipped them all in their separate cello bags with envelope and price tag ready to make up while at market lol. So without further a due here comes my daily hug for you Sue and I'd better take my meds and get the flasks of strong HOT coffee ready for I hope not a long quiet day in the cold !!! xxx

Hello Sue,

Pat L - so sorry you have hurt your back !! Whatever have you been doing! Please take care! Sending you a big hug!
Elaine H - I follow your news about Andrew each and every day but was intrigued about his letter from Jose Mourinho! I thought that was lovely! There are a few Man Utd supporters in our family but with your post Mourinho has gone up in my estimation!
It is so still and calm outside today! It's strange because you could actually hear the leaves falling from the trees!! No - I had not been drinking! It must have been the effect of frost and sun!

Good evening Sue and the Wilsonettes,
I love the chestnut brown with the dusky pink flower, but there again i have always liked pink and brown as an option as i think they go so well together and this card just highlights that. That gorgeous brown and pink ribbon compliments it just so prefectly. The second card is beautiful also Sue in the pale blue and white with your beautiful poppies on it but i think number one does it for me flower. Thank you for two beautiful cards showing just how different the same die can look done in different colours and the differing effects that can be achieved. I hope that you are getting a wee bit rest along with all the work and play and the days are getting ticked off until your next appearance, although the only trouble with your next appearance, it means that Christmas is literally just around the corner.
