Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello crafters!  Another Christmas card for the weekly giveaway.  I started by cutting the Snow globe out of a piece of aqua card.  I used the stamp from the Snow globe Sentiments to stamp around the top edge of the opening in black.  Next I filled a treat up with a couple of small scoops of white micro beads and sealed it by gluing clear acetate over the top.  I cut the Snowman Scene in both white and black card.  I used the white snowman and trimmed away everything else, then glued it atop the black snowman scene and then glued it to the acetate on the treat cut, followed by an aqua circle behind it.  I cut another Snow globe out of white card, then glued the treat cup into place and seated the aqua background piece around everything.  I stamped the bottom of the snow globe with another sentiment from the same set of stamps.  I made three aqua poinsettias to match and added the black outlines over them.  I seated them in opposite corners of the card and added some Berry sprigs in white and satin ribbon as accents.  I completed the card with white, aqua, and black mats.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  7 1/2" in size.  Leave a comment to be entered into the drawing to win this one!

We still have a bunch of dies that haven't been claimed yet so please scroll down to the post below this to see if your name is on it.  All for now, Sue x

Pam - keep on taking the tablets!!!! Glad it was not pneumonia bet your relieved!!
June Smith - hope you are progressing with the walking stick, crutches are awkward.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, this is my most favourite of all the snow globe cards you have made, it has my most favourite colour aqua and is just beautiful, whoever wins this is going to get a real gem.

Pam I am so pleased that no pneumonia - that is the last thing you want, keep up the good work and don't forget to rest as well.

Tina T - I would not surprised if when Peter wakes up he will want the porridge at some stage, pleased it went well with the b12 injection.

So pleased to see so many names I recognise in the blog winners comp. My good friend Theresa G, I know is over the moon about hers as is Maureen. congratulations to you all.

Well yesterday I walked around all day at home without using the stick, we only have a small bungalow so I had things to hold onto when needed, it felt good. I am going to my craft group this morning but will be taking the stick this time.

Thinking of everyone, Tracy, Tina, Mick, Sharon, Elaine, Andrew and anyone else I have missed.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Morning dear Sue.
So nice to read you recently had a nice break no matter how short it was, hope you feel a little more refreshed.
It sure was extra special to see so many familiar lovely names in the launch winner list, it really brings a smile to my face when names I know and see everyday that feel like true Wilsonette family are there enjoying their gift, many congratulations I'm so pleased for you and truely deserved for your loyalty to Sue and all she does for us, what a happy time for you and some gorgeous cards will be made and given with your brand new gift xxx

And what a lucky person that will be on the receiving end of this happy beautiful card 😊 I look at my personal gift from Sue's giveaway everyday with pride and a smile and so will the lucky lass (or chap) that receives todays personal gift. John did a great job presenting your new collection yesterday, so many new ideas and techniques to try with your little 'cuties' and now I've become John lol placing dies on cardstock to give me the negative to make another from and it's helped a great deal after my moans and grumbles 're no artistic imagination on yesterday's comment lol - thanks Mr L 😊
So I will love n leave you with a hug and do a happy dance for those special Wilsonette family members and a special friend or two that will be waiting with excitement for their post to arrive over the next week or so xxx

Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
I do like this saying that you have got going around the shaker Sue although i think we all know the fun on putting a snowman altogther. The aqua and white make a lovely card with just the hint of black which is enough. This is the card that you make for a house of children young and old alike as they will have great fun with it, although i think that the wee ones would have a job trying to get it off the bigger kids that we all know and have in our lives. Thank you Sue for such a bonnie card that anyone would love to have on their mantlepiece.
Well done to all of this times winners but especially to my lovely friend Maureen, lovely "P" in Wales, along with Sam i hope that you all have fun with your win when it arrives, but especially these lovely ladies that have been on Sue's blog for a long time.
Pam, i'm happpy to see that it's not pnuemonia but please flower finish your medicine and keep yourself wrapped up and warm as we don't want it coming to that and you landing into that hotel as their room service is rubbish and the meals leave a lot to be desired. Take care lovely lady and i hope that the pain in your lungs is just a blip and nothing else.
I need to go and finish a shawl as the baby decided to come and surprise her new mummy and daddy 7-8 weeks early, namely she didn't want to miss Christmas, lol but she is only 3lb 12 at the moment so in an incubator with various contraptions on monitoring her. Her step gran asked me to make a shawl for her coming for her but didn't quite expect the surprise enterance, but i just have another couple of rows to do on this crocheted shawl that i was doing for her so it will be finished for her more than in time for her getting out.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Wonderful snowman / snowglobe Christmas card. Your white micro beads are perfect for the snow. This tiny round ball snow is mostly the type of snow we get here in the mountains where I live. The extreme cold we get in the winter makes the snow into tiny little balls. It is a fly-away type of snow that does not make snowballs. I really get excited when I look-out of the window and see, on rare occasions, very large snowflakes coming down that I remember from my childhood in another part of the state.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

You always pull out the stops on our behalf for your Wednesday giveaway and today is no exception. I adore the snow globe die, the added scenes including the snowman are just so cute and work remarkably well inside the dome....the stamps are a great addition, the sentiment is so sweet and the work marvellously with the globe. I really like the colour palette, the ice blue is very atmospheric and gives the illusion of a sharp frost. The blue poinsettia with the black detailing is lovely, very striking. It's one very lucky Wilsonettes who is going to have this gorgeous sample displayed on their mantelpiece this Christmas.
I'd like to congratulate all the lucky recipients of one of Sue's new collection dies, i noticed many regulars on the list including the lovely P and Maureen...Myra will be pea green:-)....i am so happy for you, enjoy playing with your gifts.
Pam, so glad you've not developed pneumonia this time, its always a worry when you've had previous complications but hopefully your super dose of antibiotics will help clear it completelyxxx
June, wow, you're managing remarkably well considering, well done you! Hope you enjoyed your class earlierxxx
Sharon, wishing you a speedy recovery so that you can concentrate on rehabilitating your knee.
Tina, no man could get me up out of my bed after 12am to make porridge, you are a saint, and i hope Peter appreciates you....i guess that's maybe why i'm still single at 44!:-)....i'm not all bad though, i get up at any hour of the day or night for my babies Brodie and Darcey!
Elaine, how heartening to hear that Andrew is doing so well, long may it last.
Off to watch Supervet, i have a little crush on Noel the vet, he is a genius and what he does to improve the lives of so many animals is wonderful....i regularly end up being moved to tears, who says i have a heart of stone?:-)

Never had one before so quite excited. Thank you so much, Sue. Well done to all the other winners and thanks to all for the lovely congrats from the not so lucky Wilsonettes.
Haven't had time to read comments but will tomorrow.
Hugs all round.

Fabulous card, I have the die and made several now myself. haven't been able to get the stamp from our local shop but asked if they are getting it in soon. but probably not before I send my cards. Hello Sue,
Love this card, it's gorgeous.
Pam, glad it's not pneumonia and hope you soon feel 100%. Myra was very gracious in congratulating me through gritted teeth ha ha. (she's really pleased for me and the others).
PP take care and look after yourself.
'P' see your name is there as well, isn't life grand!!!
Sam as well, we'll all enjoy ourselves when they come.
Congratulations to all the other ladies, I was so excited yesterday that I forgot to say that!
June, enjoy your craft class, glad you are managing to get around a bit better.
Thinking of all having treatment, in pain or low in spirits.
I'm back on the laptop. My virus has been sorted by the Man that Can, and I'm so happy to be able to touch type with both eyes open!!

Hello Sue,
Such a lovely card again today! Thank you! Enjoyed yesterday's video too and always learn something!
Pam - so glad you haven't got pneumonia! Please take care!
June - you are doing so well. Please be careful when walking without your stick and I hope you enjoyed your craft class today!
Laine - Thankfully I'm not green as it isn't my favourite colour !! I'm more of a blue person! I laughed about you not being willing to get up to make porridge in the night! I struggle early morning! They put sugar in it down here you know! Sacrilege! It was nice to see so many familiar names among the winners!
Sharon - you will catch up! Take care!
I've been trying to do this all day and in the end almost forgot!
Sue - I m so glad you've had a little holiday! You certainly deserve one!
Love Myra xx

Very pretty card, love the colors. These are the color I always use for any winter birthday, thinking of you, and get well cards during the winter. The micro beads are the finishing touch. Guess I will have to purchase some and try this.

Sharon, I hope you shake off that bug soon and start to feel a bit better.
