Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  I originally did this card in a black and white theme, but decided to demo it in a red and white theme.  I am glad I did as I really like the way it turned out.  It will be today's offering for the Wednesday Card Giveaway so if you would like a chance to win it, just leave a comment and you will be entered into the drawing for it.  I started with a piece of ruby card and used the Illusion mask taped to it.  I spread the Berry Red Sparkle Texture Paste through the mask with a palette knife.  After carefully removing the tape and mask, I set it aside to dry over night.  Once dry, I cut it into three panels based on the design and added mounting foam to the back to raise them over a piece of coconut white card.    I cut several poinsettias out of vellum using the Poinsettia Additions and added them in a cluster in the lower left corner.  I embellished them with Holly Branches, Berry Sprigs and Pine Twigs cut out of coconut white card.  I added small black Dazzlers to the centres on the larger poinsettias and a black pearl to the smaller ones.  I cut my sentiment several times from the Ornate Holly Framed Peace die and stacked them for dimension.  I used the oval from the set to create a frame for the sentiment, which I seated on red card.  I added a small poinsettia on the rim of the frame as an accent.  The card was completed with white and red mats.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x

. Stunning card, the lucky winner will be delighted. Oh to be so lucky.
Maureen, I grew up in Shotton Colliery, now live on outskirts of Hartlepool, work in Stockton. Are you local?
Elaine, I hope Andrew is feeling a little better, it's awful when you feel like that all of the time.
Tina, hope Peters hospital appointment went well, the doctors fiasco was shocking.
June, you are doing so well, it all looks on the up now. Well done you.
Sharon, hope you and daughter are making good progress.
Steph, hope all went well getting your new car, what did you get, can see you behind the wheel of a Ferrari, lol.
Tina and Mick, hope all is going well, missing you.
Lynda, hope you are well and being good.
Hugs to all especially poorly and missing friends. I often think of Melody and Molly and their family.

Morning Sue. The heating is as high as it can be ready for the 'keeper' and his 4pawed friend to return and thaw out from their freezing frosty walk round the lake ! It seems so cruel that they are there and I'm comfortably admiring this gorgeous festive sample. I bet it looked so dramatic in its original black and white colour combination, but I expect there would be the odd comment regarding the colour scheme not being 'christmassy' enough, it looks amazing in the red and white though Sue, and I'm sure whoever gets chosen will be thrilled to bits with it. My Wednesday card win was also a stunning red and white festive card and it's there right at the front of my shelf with the guilding wax as company where I placed it about two years ago 😊 and I look at it every day. The way the floral element cascades all down the left side of this sample is beautiful and amazing, and you couldn't have chosen a better sentiment in my opinion as it does give that air of peace even though you have used a strong colour as it's main base to sit on. A stunning card to give away Sue. Same colour as the new car too lol.
I hope you can use the hug that's on its way Sue, just hear on full power for 5 seconds as it's rather chilly at the no and a warm hug always feels that little more comforting when you need one ☺ have a good day and stay warm xxx

Good morning Sue and crafters all.
This card is beautiful, although I am a black and white person this colourway is Christmas!!!
( I am from a city that has two rugby league teams and those are their colours.

Pam - you are proud of your Northeast routes as I am my East Yorkshire ones. Hope is not to cold up their today, we have frost and icy puddles!!!
Well Peter's Doctors was a fiasco, yesterday's hospital one was worse. The appointment was for his Macmillan nurse - she thought he looked dehydrated and his blood test had showed him as aneamic, she arranged for more blood tests and for him to be assessed for admission on ward 12 . We had to wait for the results to come through.
They gave him a bed and me a comfy chair offered us drinks and sandwiches at lunchtime and we waited, and waited and at three (3) pm a young doctor came and said he could go HOME, he had a water infection that was what made him sick 😷 on Sunday and Monday so given antibiotics and an anti sickness tablet, at the moment he is fast asleep!!!!!
June Smith so pleased you are feeling happier in yourself now you are moving more.
Stephanie hope you got your new wheels!!!!
Love and crafty hugs to all,
Tina T xxxx

Lovely lovely card, Sue, red and white always looks festive. Perfectly showcases your various leaves, too, though at the moment having a mini obsession with the leaves from the Family Tree, as you did throughout the new release! Those and the poppies are a favourite combination.
Fluffycat - hoping for improvement soon for your husband. Jay will likely turn into a womaniser and/or fighter if not 'nipped in the bud' soon, have to wish he gets the chop if you'll excuse expression.
Laine - yes, hand rears always special and would like to find them homes a) for their sake instead of being part of a gang and b) they are likely to outlive us. Heck. Not easy, though, always seem to get more duffs among the few jewels when home seeking and no longer seem to have the heart for it. Status quo is easier! And we love them!!
Well wishes for all who need them. Pam, yes, with you on Molly and Melody, lived through their problems for so long and do so hope things are now better for them all.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

This stunning creation incorporates some of my most favourite elements, the vellum poinsettias and red texture paste on red card for a tone on tone look, just scrumptious. White and Red for Christmas is another favourite, especially when accented by your lovely foliage and black dazzlers. This is a superb card and whilst i don't have this particular mask i do have very other element so this will be a card on my must do list this weekend i think:-) Every week i pray that i will be the lucky recipient of your giveaway masterpiece, but at this time of year more so because i think your Christmas cards cannot be beaten for stylishness.....maybe one day i will be lucky but in the meantime i will sit back and admire from afar:-)
Slight change of plan today, was meant to be going shopping but changed my mind after a sleepless night. Could have taken the opportunity to get another card completed but i didn't have the physical or indeed creative energy required so watched Judge Rinder....i was slightly disappointed that he didn't give his verdict in the style of the Rumba, maybe he was struggling with the characterisation:-)
P, you are a gem and such a big softy, i would love to adopt more fur babies but think Brodie would hit the roof...he's the jealous type...so i think it will be a while before we have another kitten to contend with. I think its lovely how all of yours seem to get along so well, what's your secret?
June, hope you enjoyed your craft class and got on well at the hospitalxxx
Hugs to all our fellow Wilsonettes who are ill, in recovery or caring for a loved onexxx

Hello Sue,
I saw this card this morning and was interrupted! How rude! Lol! It really is one of your Christmas Masterpieces! I love it! I particularly like how it showcases so many of your beautiful Christmas foliage Dies! They all look superb together! Thank you!
I have so many cards still to make but have been tidying my craft room tonight! I seem to make such a mess with the children's stuff each week as well! Only two more weeks to go!! Your Christmas Gemini Dies look really good stuck around a tealight holder and coloured with glass pens! They stick really well with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue!
I have to confess I haven't read all the comments today , sorry!
Will try to catch up tomorrow, all being well!
Love to everyone, Myra xxx

Absolutely beautiful. Red is definitely the right colour for this card. I read your description several times to find out how the gorgeous flowers had acquired a hint of colour before I realised that the background colour was showing through the vellum.

Tina T., hope Peter soon feels a bit better. He could really do without the upheavals of his appointments over the last couple of days.

Take care everyone.

I am the very proud owner of one of your christmas cards and it takes pride of place over christmas and then delicately wrapped so it looks pristine for the next christmas.
