Have A Great Day

Hello my crafty friends!  I was going to post this card on one of the Wednesday giveaways but I thought I had offered quite a few of the coffee cards already.  I'll dig around and come up with something else for you this week.  I decided to go with repetition for today's card.  Four stamped coffee cups (or tea cups if you like) from Justrite all coloured differently in pastel tones.  I used Distress markers to do the colouring (Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey, Milled Lavender).  I used a blue pencil around each of the cups as a shadow and then cut them into squares and matted them with a thin black mat.  I embossed a piece of coconut white card using the Illusion embossing folder and attached each of my four cups with mounting foam.  Using the Vintage Floret die, I made small flowers for each of the cups and highlighted them with the same distress ink that I coloured them in.  I glued them in place over the rose that is part of the stamp image.  I tied a messy bow out of white seam binding and added it to the bottom corner of the card.  I tucked a stamped sentiment under the pearl embellishment that I used for the centre of the bow.  The card was finished with a double white mat with a pierced inner layer.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gail, you and your brother are always in my thoughts, I used to travel from the north-east to Swansea to see my beloved brother, Robbie and he and his wife were so brave.
June hope you had a lovely birthday yesterday.
Hugs and best wishes to all, Tina, nice to hear from you.

Good morning Sue,

Hi sue,
Love this card - it is really pretty and the colours you have chosen go really well together. I don't know how you get your shading so good using Distress Markers - mine seems to go all wrong! I'm not too bad using pencils tough so could do that . Might just have a go today as the weather is not too good today and I have the stamp.
Jackie your card is lovely - love the gilded netting -another thing that goes wrong with me - I think I must put the flakes on before the glue is tacky! Julie and Lee hope you're both ok and Julie hoping you are getting better. Gail hope you and your family are ok. Love to all especially Norah, Steph,Lindsay, Lynne, fur babies , Pam and Cameeli. Crafty hugs to all who need them, love Alison xxx

Good morning Sue & lovely blog friends,
Lovely card Sue, great as a 'just to say hi' card or 'fancy a coffee ans catch up' I think they would be the nicest cards to receive, totally out of the blue, somebody has thought about you and sent you a card! This would be perfect. I love the Distress marker, watercolour effect! How long until your home Sue, seems like forever since you left!
Cameeli, drop by on your way back from allotment, I will be ready, we can go swim together, what a great way to start the day! If only!
Norah I was pleased to read that you had a great family day out, I imagine the sun is bouncing off your golden halo onto your beloved hills this morning my little cherub! X
Julie & Lee hope you are both ok and that Julie is on the mend, lee it would appear that you are now an honorary Wilsonette! Haha
Milo has his last antibiotics today, thank goodness, I was beginning to feel like a drug criminal, grinding pills up everyday! He and Bella are totally back to normal, the sound like a herd of galloping horses as they thunder up and down the hallway! So relieved to have him back to normal!
Big crafty hugs to every one of you today!

Thank you for today's gift - I'm still trying to source this die - wherever I try it seems to have disappeared; not even out of stock! My journey has not been abandoned; I shall keep trying.
I think it makes a wonderful focus. After all most occasions call for a cup of coffee/tea and therefore it would be so useful for all gender.
I love the way you have coloured each one and superimposed your flower over the rose.
Dawn - good luck for your son moving to France - I shall be going over in three weeks and staying until September.

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
I do like the coffee or tea cups whatever your preference and with the added factor of the rose tinged with the same colour to match, just finishes it off perfectly for me. The perfect card to send to anyone for even just a “Hello”. I like the quartet look that you have made this morning with just a hint of the embossed background to finish things off.
Brenda, did you have fun at your daughters with your grandchildren even if her internet reception was lousy. It is difficult when forced to go back to the way things were when you are used to modern gadgets and their cleverness. The children would be happy to see you though as grannies break the rules that mothers make and say “shhhhh, it’s our wee secret”. Sandra, I am so pleased that wee Milo is feeling so much better and that he is back to normal and forgiven that wee bisom Bella for hurting him. Dawn S, mind and leave the kettle, and coffee/tea things with cups out to the last as that is what you still need while packing up a house to move. I hope your son and his partner will be very happy not only in their new home, but in their new country as well. How’s their French by the way? Marianna, that’s devotion getting up at 4:30 to get hubby to ferry. I’m not surprised that you went back for a few hours sleep. June, I hope you had a lovely day yesterday for your birthday. I hope they remembered the cake for you? Tina, I am thinking so much off you and sending hugs a plenty down to you. We are all thinking of you on the blog here, sending wee prayers up for you. And Gail, the same goes for you flower, it is hard to watch a loved one slip away day by day, but I hope you can gain some strength and know that we are all here for you. Good morning Julie and honorary Wilsonette Lee, I hope you are doing as you are told our Julie so that you are feeling better soon. What has the doctor said about your eyes as they are a very precious part of us that need to be taken care of. I hope you are getting better and will soon be back to full strength again. Lindsay, I hope that the foals are coming on and getting stronger by the day. How is your beautiful stallion? Was the dressing not due to be changed today? I would tell you that I have all my fingers and toes crossed, but that happens as a matter of course, just to match in with the rest of the body. Thinking of him today anyway as I hope he is a lot better. Lynne, what is our fur babies up to as I seem to have missed you and their wee antics that fair tickles us. They remind me of naughty twins that didn’t know what to get up to next.
Yesterday I was already elated at seeing my name but it sky rocketed with tears at just the kindness of all of you. You made me feel so special, so very, very happy that I am a member of our Fairy Craftmothers site. I have never ever known kindness like it ever anywhere but on this fantastic lady’s crafty blog and no other blog has 100% of VSP(very special people) whose hearts are so over flowing with thoughtfulness and caring for others as they are here and I am so proud to be a member of such a lovely family. Well the rain came yesterday and hasn’t found the stop button or the overflow cut off point since. My hills have been pinched by the yukky grey clouds, so not much of a view this morning but hopefully it will return again soon.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Lancs Steph, I wish you get well soon flower in that hospital. I hope that it will help you and if you're good, you will be back gain soon. Take care our Lancashire Rose. x

Hi Sue and all Wilsonettes. A belated happy Birthday to our June xx
Oh WOW I have and adore this stamp Sue, so thank you for todays beautiful card. Before the days of Particraft and proper card making I turned to decoupage sets (long long ago before CC) came to our screens. They were (at the time) all I could do and all that I knew exsisted in the card world - so I took boxes of kits and foam pads into hospital with me. But now thanks to Sue and this outstanding home of our's I shall be stamping lots of coffee cups, flowers, and other stamp I have today and take my marker pens and do some 'colouring' during my stay in hospital ! I hate being there and need to take my mind off my surroundings and treatment, so what better way to do that is take a little peice Sue with me - you will be my saviour and support Sue, as will be my friends here. Im not sure if I will be able to comment as I have limited megabites on my phone as no wifi in hospital my time here maybe limited for the next week, tomorrow maybe my last chance : ( is that a cheer I hear lol.
Im so pleased you ladies enjoyed the craft show yesterday, Id have loved to see Phill (such a dish) lol. Sorry.
I know Im in for a rough week ahead, but my thoughts go directly to Tina (for the 4th) to Julie and your poorly eyes, thank God for a lovely hubby, and to my lovely 'sister' Wilsonettes that struggle from dawn to dusk everyday, you are all amazing. To our Pam, who feels sadness daily, if only I could hand out 'TRUE' hugs rather than virtual one's.
Well, lots to do today ready for the next week away and NO Mr Lancashire to look forward to.
So I'll send lots of hugs to all that are in need.
And love all round.
P.S. Joanna Sheene usually stocks the coffee cup but if its O.O.S reply here as I have another brilliant site in mind that stocks all Sue uses on her daily gift(s)

Love you.
Lancashire Steph xx

Hi Lancashire Steph,

I don't really know you or the other crafters so I hope you don't mind me leaving this message.

It's not nice going into hospital and I'd like to wish you all the luck in the world for your treatment, I hope whatever you are having done will help you and that you have a quick recovery from it so you can get back home to craft :-) Crafting is a therapy as well as a distraction and I hope it helps the time pass as quickly as possible.

With best wishes and crafty hugs, I will be thinking of you.

Hi Sue

This really made me smile. Going out and stopping for a coffee or tea (and a piece of cake of course!) on the way home is my favourite treat. Mr WheelyBad and I often make use of the free wifi in these places to check on our favourite websites and blogs... often resulting in Mr WheelyBad being shown your cards and him showing me pictures of other big hairy lapdogs like our Billy or lakes full of fish that Mr WheelyBad would like to visit! I'm in a tea/ coffee cup phase at the mo so (sigh) the "neeeed" list will grow some more!

Crafty hugs to all

Hi Sue,
All that's missing from today's offering is the custard cream biscuits! This card would suit my mother-in-law, 'cos she loves a cuppa. I made her a tea party themed card for mother's day, so this stamp might be a good buy for next time.

Hi Sue, abfab card. Not into coffee but have used this stamp as a teacup on several cards. Love the different shades of dm you have used. Wild honey is one of my favourites outside of blues/greens of course. The flowers add a brilliant touch of elegance to s glorious card. Apologies that I haven't commented for a few days but fell over one of poochies toys and hit my head on a wall. The wall won as it set off a nasty bout of neuralgia, that is being stubborn to ease. Hope you and mom are fine lol lynne m x x x

I hope there were no cameras in my garden this morning cuz if there were then I am sure the men in white coats will be knocking on my front door very shortly- the reason - picture this-

At the back of our garden is a bees nest and my two little terrors are facinated by it. So out they trot straight down towards the nest, YOU TWO stop right there I call out , well what a surprise they've gone deaf ( as well as daft) so out I go after them . Oh look mums playing chase so off they go chasing after the bees and off I go chasing the dogs who are chasing the bees whilst holding my head in both my hands to stop me from moving my head as movement is causing dizziness and heaps of pain. All the time I am calling out to the bees to get back in their hive. This pantomime went on for about 15 minutes until poochies decided that chewing hubbys flowers were a much better use of their time. So I have had to cut a few damaged flower heads off and now said little garden destroyers are contained in the lounge watching telly in their favourite positions of laid back against the cushions with back legs spread out and front paws in front of them. Heres hoping for an hours peace and quiet.

June - thanks for your email. Hope your chest infection clears up soon.x x x lol Tilly n Cully

Lindsay, Norah, Lynda, Tres, Alison, Myra and Angela - lol and hugs to you from pesky poochies

To all Wilsonettes hoping your day is a good one and if not hugs to you x x x

This is SUCH a lovely design, Sue. I don't have this particular stamp but I have another very pretty teacup, so if the sizing is ok I'm definitely going to have a go at this one. I wish there were more hours in the day! I've had a lot going on with work and life in general, and haven't made it into my craft room for several days. I'm looking forward to spending some time soon though.

I recently made a card very much in your style and using your heart striplet which I sent to a friend who has been experiencing some very difficult problems recently. She said that the card had lifted her spirits and thanked me very much, so I should thank you, too, for the inspiration. Hugs - Yx

Judy M,
If there is a special school or charity run club for additional support needs children i know that they would welcome the extra as it is so hard to get things for the children to help them with colours, textures, sounds. These are just a few things that these clubs do with the children from Deaf, Spinea Bifida, Aspergers, Austism, Blind...well you get the picture. It is amazing just how the children come on with the one to one help and playing with them. Hope it helps you,

Lynne - what are we going to do with you! Your poor head.! Neuralgia is awful - sending love to you and your naughty rascals! x

Hi Sue, thank you, I did have a great day as I met up with an old friend that I hadn't seen for a couple of years. We went for lunch and were still talking four hours later!
I love this card - tea cups for me, please - and the addition of the flowers just lifts the stamps perfectly.
Must go and do the ironing now but will catch up on all the comments later.

Hi Judy. I donated a mega load of craft goodies to my local childrens ward. If it helps us forget our troubles then imagin how much use the children will get out of your generosity. Plus it will make you happy knowing your kindness has made them happy.
Maybe worth thinking about.

Evening to Sue, and all Wilsonettes, I love this card today Sue, although I can't drink either tea or coffee I would lbe a card like this, you have used gorgeous colours on it, will have to see what I can find to do something similar when I manage to get some craft time?
Norah thank you so much for remembering my little man, the vet finally came this afternoon leaving me with 20 mins to be with home while he took the dressings off and washed the wound, which thankfully is looking ok still, the wound is closing well, although in a few weeks we will have to debribe the area so the scar is not too raised, I was then supervised redressing it, as I will now take over the weekly dressing changes, all this took just under the 20 minutes I had spare before I had to go to the local school to pick up a child for her riding lesson!
Lynne, please take more care, I can send you a riding hat to wear at all times! Your girls are so funny though and it would have been a treat to see you and them with the bees.
Steph, take care I your enforced not so holiday! I hope you managed to stamp lots so you have something to do whilst there. Take great car and I do hope you come home feeling easier.
Alison, hope all is well with you and you had a good weekend, Pam keep strong you are doing so well, Cameeli, do you ever stop bless you, hope you get some down time soon. Tres, TOB, Julie and Lee hope you are all coping and getting there slowly. Tina and Gail and your respective families thinking of you all. Take care all Wilsonettes and see you and our lovely .sue tomorrow xxx
