Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Morning all!  I really like this one and thought it would make a nice card for today's giveaway for you.  Definitely on the more traditional side than the previous Christmas posts have been, but with an elegant look to it and a bit of bling!  I worked backwards on this one, starting with the Justrite Wreath first and stamping it in black archival ink.  I used several Distress markers to colour the image including Forest Moss, Scattered Straw, Festive Berries, and even a few touches on Pine Needles and Crushed Olive.  I stamped the image a second time and coloured and cut out selected areas of the holly to mount upwards for dimension.  I cut the bow out and coloured it with Festive Berries then added a coat of Cosmic Shimmer Red Berry Sparkle glue and allowed it to dry then mounted it on foam over the original bow.  I cut a Reflective Moments die in coconut white card and mounted the wreath which I cut out with a simple circle die.  I stamped the sentiment from the set called Bells Of Christmas set and cut it out with Fancy Framed Tags Two ad mounted it below the wreath.  I added  a pierced white mat layer with a thin black mat to the focal feature.  I cut a larger white piece and ran double sided tape around the edges, then added Iced Snow for a bit of the bling.  A thin black mat and a final wider white mat finished the card off nicely.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8 1/4" in size.  If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this card, simply leave a comment on today's post (instructions how are on the right hand side of the blog), the winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post.

On another exciting note, I saw my good friend Nigel May recently and I was excited to hear that he
has had another woman's fiction novel released on line.  It is called "Addicted" and is down loadable now
on Amazon for just 99p and I'm including the link for you below.  For those of you who read his first novel, "Trinity", I am sure that you will want to tuck into this one as well.  It is sure to be an exciting and glamorous read!
Here is the link for you:

 All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. I love this traditional card, the wreath and ribbon are gorgeous, and the Reflective Moments and the Fancy Framed Tags Two die cuts work beautifully : ) Thanks for telling us about the red Sparkle glue. I wonder how many people don't pick up the Cosmic Shimmer Red Berry Sparkle glue thinking it is labelled wrong, due to the pink colour in the bottle?
I hope you have managed to grab a little rest Sue.
Pam, daily hugs to you. Stay positive about Robbie.
Hugs for Norah, Jean,Gail, Tina, yorkielass, Lynda and all in need.
My goodness Norah, you have got long hair, I can see why you could cut off 6 inches. Hope your hills are clear, the weather is meant to be on the turn but it is beautiful here this morning!
Yvonne Masterman, if you are desperate to spritz before you can get a proper spritzing bottle use your steam iron spray (it works without turning the iron on!) hope that helps you : )
have a good day everyone.
Take care.

Hi Sue, Today's Card is a True "Wowser") I don't think that word is in the dictionary but I mean it's, Stunning, Awesome, Fantastic, Rich, Extremely Opulent, and very very Beautiful, and I'd oh so Love to be The Wednesday Card Gift Winner!
I Just Love The Christmas Wreath Stamp from JustRite, I would use my Copics to Colour so I would have to use a different Ink Medium to Stamp mine out, to prevent bleeding when colouring.
I Loved how you Stamped a second image then used certain items to Decoupage and once you coloured your Fabulous Bow, then on the Decoupaged Bow you used "The Awesome Cosmic Shimmer Red Berry Sparkle Glue" this product is truly amazing!
Not Forgetting around the outside of the image where you have placed Iced Snow Just Beautiful.
I ordered my Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Glue, from Joanna Sheen with other Colours from The Range, I Love The Sentiment and Beautiful Font on your Card.
Sue Thank you so very much For Every Thing, Your Truly Amazing! Thank You For The Beautiful Cards that you produce for us, A Huge Thank You From Me For Sharing and the Daily Inspiration you give to me!

Steph hope you're ok and that your lovely daughter is feeling better, I'm sure she will be ok on the Big Day. Have a wonderful day today , but don't tire yourself out for tomorrow! Norah really like your IDE of the hills being for the clouds to have a rest on - what a lovely picture! Tandy, hope things are better with you, but you are still in thoughts and prayers - sending you an extra special hug along with one to Pam too. Lynne hope you are ok and that pesky critters aren't causing too much havoc. Lindsay hope foals and stallion are ok. To all of my crafty family and friends, have a lovely day and love to you all. morning Sue
from a very sunny and warm Burgundy here in France.
Thank you for today's gift. It's definitely one that's going into my file of 'C.Inspiration from Sue'. I bought the Christmas Bells stamps so I am so looking forward to starting my cards using your dies. I just know they will look so much better with a touch of Sue Wilson.
Well I'm here and settled in = unpacked and yes there were one or two packages which were not mine but I had the most beautiful surprise - An Ebosser Machine appeared out !! My hands/fingers are getting so tired/painful that turning my GC to get folders etc through is quite difficult so my lovely lovely other half decided that it was time that I had some help! What can I say other than I'm so spoilt sometimes. Thirty two years and he still can surprise me.
Sue I've just got the most perfect space here for your beautiful piece of art so I've got all crossed that will cross.
Hope everyone is OK and that no accidents etc have happened between Sunday and today. Take care an see you all tomorrow.

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
What really beautiful C card that you have made for us today. I love the beautiful background all in white with the tiniest of layers of gold underneath just daring to show slightly as if it is being shy. The wreath stamp is so lovely and vibrant when all coloured up and selectively layered upon. Stunning, that is what today's card is as it is oh so beautiful. Oh i have my fingers crossed today for this one as i am sure are quite a number of others on the blog. I love the new die, but way out of my price range, so will definitely have to wait for that one, but it will be worth the wait. Thank you Sue for the inspired inspiration that you have put up for us today.
Teeny bash wants me to go into town again and being honest i think she will be going herself as i am so tired from yesterdays visit albeit that i got a scooter in there. The distance from the car park to the scooter office is a marathon in itself as trying to get over at the lights is more than 2 turns of the lights to get across. 7 seconds is what it gives to cross, well i gave up marathon running after the 3rd fall down the stairs. It is utterly impossible for even the fittest amongst us to make it within the time allotted.
Frances (Fluffycat) where do you live that you can see that i am not havering in my weather reports from the Costa de Glenochil. It is that bit colder here today and i don't see hilt nor hare of the sun. I think someone forgot to tell it that it is the summer.
Pam, i am really trying to send healing vibes to young Robbie, i truly hope that it is his body protecting itself the now with the no movement and that he does come quickly back to full health. You are in my hopes and prayers for him.
Steph, i hope that your daughter is feeling a bit better today as we want her to enjoy every bit of her big day tomorrow. Perhaps she just needs her mum which will in itself will make her a lot better. I hope you are taking it a bit easier today so that you can have as much energy as possible for tomorrow. Sending your baby girl some warm cuddles to try and get her better.
Janet (Ecco), me thinks he doth protest too much at your essentials that you had to pack when he is obviously needing you to have them with you when you find your beautiful surprise. Please can he give my hubby some lessons on how to be wonderful and understanding about my life line, as yours for all his protestations about what you take with you is obviously with yours. I don't think my hubby realises just how lonely it is when stuck in the house all day. Anyway i wish you more health than you have the now to use your lovely surprise flower and i think Mr Ecco deserves a great big cuddle for his thoughtfulness.
Hope you all have a lovely day even if the sun isn't shining outside, let it shine out from inside. Gentle hugs for our fragile friends that need or want them for any reason.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Good morning Sue & friends,
I loved this card on the weekend, traditional, I love wreaths in both stamps and dies, you could put almost any embellishment on it to, little red sparkles ( flat back gems)! With the colour of the wreath set against the crisp white background it is just perfect! Thank you Sue x
Pam, you are I'm my thoughts, it is amazing what the body can cope with, I hope and pray that his determination and the amazing advances they have made in the world of medicine are working together to help your nephew make a full recovery!
Steph, I hope you can find time sit and relax and let your body catch up! How did your special card turn out? Your idea of the hanging guest book is brilliant idea, I would to see the results! I hope that you have the best day ever, don't forget your tissues x
Janet, what a lovely surprise, a very thoughtful husband you have there! I bet you can't wait to start playing, do you craft outside, it would seem such a shame to be in a beautiful place and be sat inside!
Cameeli, big cuddles to you my lovely, are you going to Ally Pally in September ?, I do hope so!
I had an idea....maybe we could ask Sue if we could have a table reserved for Wilsonettes, so that there would be a place that we all could meet up without walking round and wondering who was a 'Wilsonette' and who wasn't! What do you think ?
I have put some photos of my 'fur babies' on my blog so please feel free to have a peek!
Sam(smithard) hello my lovely, you sound very organised, with you hints and tips folders etc, very good idea!
I haven't read Nigel's novels, but I can imagine that they are full of 'divas' and drama! Maybe a good holiday read, light hearted with a good pinch of humour!
Norah, I am glad I am not the only one that finds being home alone, all day, every day difficult, I hate it, but not much I can do about it as I am pretty much 'housebound' unless somebody takes me out, I no longer have the confidence to venture out alone either!
Hugs to all my lovely friends on here, I value your friendship hugely!
Huge hugs to you all x

Hi Sue,
A lovely wreath design, so festive. I used a wreath theme for my cards last year with the Spellbinders 3D embossing folder and some gilding waxes on black card. It was quite a dramatic look but I like to put a twist on a traditional style now and then, just for the giggles.

A lovely card Sue and a design that can easily be adapted to a non-christmas card. I must get my sprinkles out and use them!

Hi Sue. Oh WOW !! I saw you demo this card on c+c and absolutely loved it !! I think it is so Christmasy and gives you a nice warm feeling inside !! You just can't have Christmas without a wreath !! Very Traditional which is my favourite style when it comes to Christmas. It is a beautiful stamp but I have the SB wreath die so I will be sticking with that !! I just had to order the Elegant snowflake stamps though. I can't wait to try the triple stamping technique. I love the SB die that you have used for your background Sue, but I am waiting patiently for the release of your new dies. I still have a few months yet to collect Christmas goodies !! I still don't know if any of your dies will be Christmas ones or not !! This is just such a beautiful card Sue, and I would love to have the chance to win it !! I hope you will post some more Christmas cards from the weekend shows as I loved them all !! You are so inspirational Sue. Thank you so much for all you do.
Take care Sue, sending you lots of love and hugs from Tres x x x

To Tandy, Sending you lots of love and hugs to. I do hope things get better for you soon, love Tres x x x

To Sandra, I to am alone in the house all day, every day and you are so right, it is so lonely. I have been like this for nine years and two months now. I only go out if someone is with me. I am very lucky as my Mum and Dad live just around the corner in the next road and they often pop round to see me. I have two dogs and a cat and I just talk to them during the day but it is not the same as being able to talk to a real person !! I feel the same as you, I really value the friendship that I find from Sue's wonderful blog and it gets me through the day, every day. Wishing you lots of love and hugs, Tres x x x

To everyone on Sue's wonderful blog, I hope you all have a wonderful day today. Sending my love to you all, Tres x x x

Hi Sue & lovely blog friends

I watched you demo this card at weekend, and that frame die is beautiful, Love the edging to your card. I have today started a card with glitter edging, I do love a bit of sparkle.

Pam, any more news about Robbie's progress, I really hope it is going in right direction. I think about him so many times through the day. Still picking things up for my son, it makes you want to protect them and keep them safe from all the bad things that happen in life. From all the love, prayers and best wishes sent from the ladies on Sue's blog, let him know we are all behind him for a speedy recovery. Big hugs to you, and his parents.

Steph, I know you won't read this till Friday, but what a fantastic day you have to enjoy tomorrow. I'm sure Lou will look like a princess, and you are going to look a beautiful mother of the bride, and Andy will hand her over to Craig with such pride. Will be thinking of you big time.X

Margaret, I hope you are feeling better today, and more able to talk to your little corgi's. The kittens are mental, they are now coming up to me more for cuddles, and I know it's such a difficult job to do after 2 hours of play I keep thinking I should be doing something more grown up. After feeding Summer with a syringe for over a week now, you would'nt believe the difference. Last night she was eating food of her own accord and meeow sounds more normal, and she is actually wanting to walk in the garden albeit a bit wobbly, but it's good news.

Sorry to ramble about my pets. X

Kind regards to all :-)

Gorgeous card, the wreath is really pretty and is lovely decoupaged. There are a few new 5X7 spellbinders that I really want and Tranquil Moments is one of them. Have just ordered the Mystical Embrace and will get Tranquil Moments next time.
My husband has a cabin in the garden for his hobby which is Figure painting. He paints military figures from 6mm to 25mm. I have a craft room in the house so we both appreciate each others hobby. He doesn't complain too much about me buying craft items as he buys just as much for his hobby. I don't know what I would do without my card making and my dog, one keeps the brain exercised and the other the body. I have persuaded him to buy me a pup for my Christmas so it will either be another Bichon or a Border Terrier, I cant decide yet.
