An Amazing Friend

Hello crafters!  Look I found a card with a big bow, so no more withdrawal symptoms! LOL   This is one of those real easy, nothing tricky about it, throw it together sort of cards that you can use when you are in a hurry, but still very nice to receive!  I embossed the white background with the Illusion embossing folder for texture.  Using the Italian Collection border, I cut two of them in white and glued them across the card diagonally with the centre strip overlapping.  On blush card I stamped the Netted Waves stamp that matches the Italian collection using a black archival ink pad.  I stamped the sentiment in the open area in black as well.  I cut it out using the Decorative frames from the Italian Collection and inked the edge through the die with Victorian Velvet. I cut another plain circle in white and backed it so the heart detail shows in white.  I used the same distress marker and added some detail to the stamped image.  I mounted it on foam in the middle of the card for my focal element.  I tied a double bow out of the Dusty Rose Frilly edged ribbon, added some pastel Bakers Twine and a pearl embellishment to the centre.  I made two matching stick pins and pushed the ends into the knot of the bow.  I finished it off with a small pearl swirl in the upper corner and a double white pierced mat with a thin blush mat in between them.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 3/4" in size.  All for now,
Sue x

Ah normality restored! Bow; Twine; Dazzler and Stick Pins. I can now rest knowing you are back!!!
Today's gift is just wonderful. I love love love the gentleness and the simplicity so of course this piece of art is going into my 'must do file' immediately.
I have really fell in love with white/white with a tiny pop of colour. I cannot stop myself from using this combination!
Had a lovely day yesterday with my eldest daughter/husband and her animal family and actually came away clean without any paw marks etc. Molly and Quinn really were on their best behaviour; Pip the black shadow puss showed his face for all of ten seconds and then went back upstairs to his den; Freddie - baby fox cub is now well and ready to be released; the pair of mallards have also gone back to their home but on the intake side a squirrel who has been caught and kept as a pet now needs rehab hopefully to be released into his own world and not kept as a household pet; why oh why do people do things like this!!!! and last by not least baby pigeon has started feeding for fingers crossed that will be released soon.
Big congrats Sue 5,000 reached.
Hoping to get a little crafting done today so take care everyone and see you tomorrow.

If I could throw a card together as beautiful as today's card Id award myself with a medal ! My 'thrown' together cards end up being filed under B !!! And my craft space turns from a delicate green, to a dark blue ! There are so many embossing folders I need as they are the making of the card along with the stunning focal points and bows etc I should start making a list ready for a few months time (if you get my meaning) without using the 'swear' word LOL Its also time to treat myself to a couple of matching stamps to go with your die collection as you have been so thoughful regarding expenditure (maybe Sunday's market will help me pay for 1 or 2 )

Thank you Sue for starting our new week with a beautiful delicate card. And to our Wilsonettes that are finding the start of a new week daunting, I send many genuine caring thoughts and hugs your way.
Love you.

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
WOW Sue, you reached your 5000 target, so please that more people can enjoy your mini masterpieces as much as the rest of your Wilsonette Troop. Today is my kind of a card Sue, white with the touch of colour and with a great big BOW on it. It is a beautiful card and if i could knock it up quickly would be when the next blue moon shines. The soft pink of the card with the designs on your dies really make for a beautiful match. Thank you Sue as we were all having withdrawal symptoms due to no bows and sparkles.
Well the wool cupboard is finally finished bar the need of another plastic box and some wool finding new homes to go to. Toad has went on and on about the amount of wool i have and how i am never going to go through it all and what a waste of time, waste of money, do i realise i have 14 of those plastic tubs and they are taking up room along at the garage. This is from the man that has at least 4-5 electric drills and a 22foot long garage all on his own for his toys. The head was as weary as the rest of me by the time i had finished, not to mention throbbing but that only joined the rest of the body. But at last i have my beautiful hills back in all their glory. I have missed them this past while because of the weather, but the colours that is coming from them today is so pretty with the greens, pinky purple of the heathers and the yellow of the broom being set off by the beautiful shapes of the hills with all their craggy bits, and peace is once more descended down on the Ochils. I had lay down with my tablet last night and wrote up my bit and for some reason it would not go up and i can't find out how to copy and paste on that dashed thing so lost it all. Anyway i was so pleased for our winners yesterday, all of them as it does give you such a boost to your day when seeing your name up there. Lindsay, you'll need to delegate when your stamps come so that you can have a play.
Cameeli, sending you and your partner super hugs to see you through such a difficult day. Take care lovely ladies.
Gail, i am hoping against hope that your brother is that wee bit better so that he can start his treatment. I as sending you gentle hugs to you both because you are so fragile the now.
Lynne, how is your heart since you had the heart attack caused by your beloved fur babies? I think you are going to have to put the child locks on the windows to stop your little dare devil.
I hope that where ever you are today that the sun is shining if not outside that it can shine from inside out. Hugs to all our fragile friends that could just do with some or need some one thinking of them,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

To Maureen Killen and Lancashire Steph, Thank you both for your help with the "caught in crystal technique". I have to buy a couple of bits first before I can attempt it !! I am looking forward to giving it a go with my stepdaughter and seeing what we can come up with. I don't know if either of you have had a go at the shaving foam technique yet but that one is great fun !! myself and my stepdaughter had a great laugh together doing that one, but beware it can get messy !! I felt really guilty the first time we did it as Hubby was moaning on Monday morning, when getting ready for work, that he had hardly any shaving foam left !!

Sending lots of love to all of the lovely people on this lovely blog. I am sorry as I cannot remember everyone's names but you know who you are. X x x

Hi Sue,
First of all many Congratulations on reaching 5000 followers! A truly great achievement but one very well deserved. Couldn't happen to a nicer lady!
I really love today's card , I love the dies used the colours and the big bow! I have started to set myself a how has Sue made this test before reading what you have done. I only usually gets bits of it right. Today I got about 95 percent - helped by the fact I have most of the components except the stamp. Trying to get one stamp per die set at least - still some way to go.
Thinking of you today Cameeli, do hope all goes as well as possible.
Maureen - wish we had a photo of the pirate ! Have a lovely day and hope it stays dry .
Jackie enjoy the cricket - I will make do with the Test on TV. I love cricket and tennis.
Clare W - what you need is a hole in one! That would save your toe. You could just sit in the buggy then! Enjoy your day.
Safe travel home Gail, sending love to you and your brother.
Brenda hope all sent well yesterday. Hope you had a really memorable day.
Janet - what a lot of animals , patience and love.
Norah, pleased the wool mountain is packed away into little hillocks! x
Steph many congratulations on your 35th Wedding Anniversary. May I just ask - are you feeling any better after being in hospital - do hope so. X

Hi Sue, firstly many congrats on reaching 5000 followers. You deserve all the recognition you get for all the effort you put into this blog that makes it the best. Todays card is understated elegance, love the white/white with a hint of colour. Counting down the
days until you are back on our screens. Lol lynne m x x x x

After the almost heart attack with Cully jumping up onto the window sill upstairs told hubby that we will have to put grills across the windows. Not going to try child locks cuz I've got a feeling the mighty menaces will get round them. Yesterday hubby was on doggie duty and of course they behaved ( aarrrgghhh drives me nuts) told him if the wind changed he'd be stuck with a smurk on his face and its not a good look. Helped with the cutting of the grass mainly to keep Tilly from picking up clumps of cut grass and turning the lounge carpet into a lawn. Everything was going fine until the pesky critter saw a worm on the grass and picked it up in her mouth and came charging over to me to show me. Well I'm sorry to say I screamed like a right girl and ran indoors wiith Tilly chasing me. Hubby once he'd finished picking himself up off the floor cuz he was laughing so much got hold of Tilly and took said huge!!!!! (honestly) worm off her and put it at the back of one of the flower borders. With as much dignity as I could I thanked him and beat a hasty retreat to my craftroom. The joys of having mighty menaces. x x x

June, Lindsay, Karen, Alison, Norah, Tres, Pam, Barbara & Ben, Lynda Annie and Bambi, Myra, Sandra, Angela, Frances, Mrs B, Cameeli and last but not least Steph - massive hugs and lol from mighty menaces or pesky critters depending on how they are behaving.

To all in "Wilsonette" land hope today is full of sun and if not then hope the day will hold some joy x x x

You will not realise what a great skill I have - it's called "visualising the cards without their bows!".....I'm rather good at it ;)

So, I can honestly say, this is a fab card :)

by adding that bit of distress marker to the stamped image you have given so much dimension. would have thought you would have used tattered rose rather than victorian velvet but the latter works extremely well. love it xx

Hi Sue, lovely card today, thank you for sahring it with us all.

I love the stamp, which I do actually have, but havne't had chance to use it yet, it looks really good and clear.

Craftihappiness to you all, love from Pearl.

Hi Sue

Wow, what a lovely card. I have often looked at that circular stamp and thought that it was pretty but I never really knew how to use it and make it different each time. By colouring it and shading it you've softened it beautifully and it really fits the rest of the card. I think I may 'neeeed' to put it on my list!

Quiet day but need to pull my crafty fingers out to finish a sewing project by the weekend so no getting messy for me!

Crafty hugs,

T x

Hi Sue
What a day to come back to the blog to see you have reached 5000 followers. A very well deserved congratulations as you give so much to us all. May the climb continue and the 1000's mount up.
I am very fond of white on white with a small amount of colour. Am loving using your embossing folders. The bow on today's card completes it for me, it's delicate colour and the way it falls makes it very soft looking.
Yesterday was a wonderful day for all the family, 4 generations of us with everyone here. The Christening was beautiful, warm and sincere from start to finish. The twins and my nephew's 8 month old daughter were perfection. We all had a day to remember and my 5 year old grandson couldn't wait to come home after Church for the party and wedding cake!
My very best wishes and hugs to all in need. It is a pleasure to be back and reading about everyone in the Wilsonette family.
