Gate Border Card

Hi there my crafty friends!  I just love it when I can use parts of dies for something completely different than their intended use!  Today's card is just that kind of card.  When can a gate be a border, watch and see!

The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card Sue, it's lovely. The sentiment is for you.
Theresa G thank you for your lovely kind words and everyone who has commented. I'm hoping that the imminent arrival of the baby due today will help my cousins widow focus on a happier event and take away some of the pain of his loss. They were my eldest daughters godparents.
Tina, so sad to hear of Micks ongoing problems, hope they can help him soon.
Elaine, I do hope Andrew and his wife managed their little drive yesterday.
Thinking of Tracey and family and all missing friends.

Morning Sue. Today's sentiment is returned back to you for what you do for us in every possible way. If we, your friends and 'students' had any say, you would also be awarded with an MBE !

Now onto this stunning card. It's so dramatic looking, so regal. I just love the colour scheme. I think it's just amazing that changing something so simple as the colour, your dies take on such a different look. As for using one die and doing something totally different other than what you originally designed it for no longer surprises me !! I can imagin you sitting at your craft table or sitting watching t.v and a hundred or so ideas come flooding through after drawing just one intricut shape, and that's why we all love your dies, because unlike the others on the market your collections have more than just one use, which we have been fortunate to see many times on fb pages and CE blogs. I will watch the video a little later but in the meantime I send my hugs and wish for you a good productive craft day xx

Really elegant card, Sue, love the colours and the layout, especially your chopped gate border. Great video as ever, thank you.
Finally succumbed and the poppies are on their way! Unlike Laine, will be using them ha ha. Glad you're back sparring, L & Y, but can't be doing with all this talk of CAKES. Seriously deprived. Y - how is the son situation?
Tina, oh my what an awful thing to have to hope for - just wish Mick's problems were easier to deal with. Been there with Mr P on cancer (diagnosed) and neuropathy. Bad enough... but nothing like you are going through.
Hugs to all - especially Maria, Wheely, Lorraine F, Elaine and Mick and of course Tracy.

Lovely design. I'm imagining this as brown and gold since I'm not keen on black cards. Clever border. Amazing how using dark card and covering the centre of the Brussels die changes the look completely. I've been using the Brussels die with snow white card today.
My Snowflake Gemini prize arrived today and I am so looking forward to playing with it tomorrow. (I had to put it out of sight while I made a birthday card with the Brussels die as my friend might not have appreciated a snowflake in July!)
Take care everyone.
