Fabulous Day

Hello crafters!  Another Heated Pearls technique card for you today. I had a bit of leftover from a larger piece that I made and just couldn't let it go to waste, now could I!    I embossed a piece of coconut white card using the Blossom Brocade embossing folder for texture.  I added a thin black mat to my strip of heated pearls and glued it to the left side of the card.  If you would like to see how this was created, you can watch the Heated Pearls video on the Creative Expressions You Tube channel.  Next I cut the Hamilton die in black and backed it in white, then cut the centre out to make a frame.  I stamped my sentient then added the frame over it with foam.  I seated it on the right and added Beaded Swirl Flourishes above and below it as accents.  Two black Dazzlers accented the lower corner. A white pierced mat, a thin black mat and a final white mat were added to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Stunning card Sue, I love it.
Yvonne, I know it's only banter with you and Laine.
Daily thoughts for Tracey and family, Elaine and Andrew, Tina and Mick, and all our missing friends, I haven't seen Cheryl for a while, hope all is okay.
I am going to my cousins funeral today, he was the eldest in the family at 69, a year older than me. He was my hero when we were kids, taught me to ride a bike, roller skate, those were the days. So very sad.

Morning Sue.
Another lovely card for us today. What stands out to me the most is how powerful the Hamilton die looks in black backed by white, it really draws your eye into the whole card. A really masculine card if the beaded swirls were omitted and could really girlyfy it up if you changed the colour, so this particular sample is great the way we see it but shows us how versatile it is with a couple of minor changes.
Thank you Sue for sharing your inspiration daily with us.

Thinking of you today Pam. You are always there for others, now it's our time to be here for you today xxx

My usual hugs coming your way Sue and to Sam. Hope you both have a good day xx

Hi Sue,a lovely card and it would have been criminal to throw away such a pretty piece of card. I actually like the black today, maybe becuase it does look a bit Art Deco and I love the beaded swirls which I use often. I am pretty pleased with the result.

Afternoon Sue
Oh how I love gilding flakes. They are so beautifully shiny and opulent and just get absolutely everywhere! Lol x
I cannot brag as I did yesterday about being the proud owner of all the dies used to create this beauty but with a little die substitution could try and accomplish something similar!
It is a gorgeous card Sue - thank you x
Well I am a little earlier than usual. I thought it best as I am going to the pictures a little later and didn't know if I would be up to writing my usual essay on my return. So here I am with my feet up, a coffee and a slice of homemade bakewell tart that would be big enough to feed 3 - do I care - what do you think?!!
Going to see a very adult like film - The secret life of pets. Yes me and 3 friends are going to see a cartoon. Once again - do I care - absolutely not, can't wait.
That was the reason I had to do my duty and phone Laine last night. Tuesday is our usual catch up night where we talk for England so I considered her feelings and decided rather than just not bothering I would make the effort last night. No doubt little Miss Snooty will give you a tale of woe about how inconsiderate I am but don't be taken in. Lol x
Pam - I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin. I hope that today went well and was a chance to remember happy times which I always find a huge comfort. Lots of love x
Elaine - I hope Andrew's appointment with the consultant brings positive news. We will all be there in spirit. Hugs x
P - it wasn't our first call. I can think of many things that Laine could do with but banoffee crumble is not one of them. Lol. We are really hoping that Laine will be able to come and stay in September and her ladyship has already begun to make unreasonable demands for obscene amounts of cheesecake. I had better oblige or she'll only make a fuss. Lol. You are more than welcome any time. Croydon quite a way though. I am more than happy to be anyone's feeder. Hugs x
Pat - honestly you must give the crumble a go - so easy but soooo delish x
Theresa W - I just let Laine waffle and make appropriate noises so that she thinks I am listening. Lol. The crumble I make is gluten free as I have Coeliac Disease but ordinary plain old crumble would be fine. The bananas and caramel are so gloriously sickly sweet and sticky that it just does not need any fancy topping. Now stop dribbling and go make one x
Wheely - sorry you are feeling so rough hun. Sending gentle hugs x
Tracy - thinking of you lovely lady. Sending love and hugs x
Tina - hope things are going smoothly for Mick at the moment. Lots of love x
OK better go get my well rounded bottom into gear in preparation for my evening of entertainment. It has been really dull with on and off showers all day - mainly on! I hope everyone is OK.
Take care all
Love and happy thoughts
Crafty hugs
Yvonne
x

P.S. Laine don't go on too much about how neglectful you think I am because it just won't wash. Everyone will see through you before long just like I have x

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Oh what joy! You're using the New Zealand collection so I'm a happy bunny.....Yvonne will be annoyed that it's not the Belgian:-)......I have been trying to exercise my mojo at present but it appears to have not only left the building but the country too:-), so this gorgeous card gives me some real inspiration to get my motor going again. I love the heated pearl panel but can't quite remember the products/ techniques used.....is it cosmic shimmer glue on acetate with mica powder then heated until bubbling like lava? I'll need to refresh my memory because the colours are like molten metals, absolutely gorgeous! Great way to use up spare scraps. Love the EF and the beaded swirls, very luxurious, fab card going straight into my definitely to do folder.
Apologies for my absence the past two days.....my mum has only just scrapped me down from the ceiling after winning the comment game last week:-)......I've been having real trouble with my Outlook mail account, they've changed the format in their infinite wisdom and I now can't make heads nor tails of it;-( I spent over two hours writing and attempting to send an email to Sue only for it to keep disappearing. I'm SO annoyed! I eventually had to admit defeat and my own idiocy to Yvonne and ask her to message Sue instead....she thinks that I did it deliberately to rub her nose in the fact that she is indeed a grade A loser and NOT Sues no. 1 fan....okay, true:-)......she , in a rare act of kindness agreed, though I wouldn't be surprised if she gave her own address:-)
I had every intention of posting yesterday after my conversation with Yvonne....BIG mistake!....apart from being about 30 mins later than scheduled, choice words were exchanged as a result:-), I was emotionally frazzled after spending the best part of an hour listening to her piffle.....she is very high maintainence as I'm sure you've gathered, and demands that the main theme of the conversation revolves around her. You get the gist, I heard all about the banofee crumble, cinema experience and umpteen amount of washings she had on the line today and I was totally drained, needing an early night to recuperate:-)
P, you think that it's too early in our relationship for a ring? I think I deserve some recompense for everything I have to put up with, being involved with Yvonne should come with sweeteners/perks. I'm fully expecting to be the size of a small people carrier by the time I return home from Ally Pally what with the promise of Eton Mess, cheesecake and white chocolate fudge....shame that she has to resort to blatant bribery to get people to visit her though:-(
Pam, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin, that's a relatively young age to be passing so you must be in a state of shock, particularly given your close relationship. Cherish those fond memories, it keeps their spirit close to you during the tough times. Sending hugsxxxx
Wheely Bad, sorry to hear that you've been struggling and that Mr W was unsuccessful in his interview:-( hope things will improve for you both soonxxxx
Elaine, how did Andrews appointment with the consultant go? Any good news about the next stage of treatment?
Tina, is everything okay with you and Mick, thinking of youxxxx
Maria, how are you sweetie? Missing youxxx
Tracy, thinking about you lovely lady, big cuddles coming your wayxxxx
Yvonne, enjoy your trip to the cinema....not surprised it's to see a cartoon, just about your intellectual level isn't it?
Hugs to all my bestest blog buddies, take carexxxx
