Framed Rosette Card

Hi bloggers!  Adding a pretty rosette to your card is sure to give it the Wow factor.  They are a bit of work, but such a nice addition too!  The Gillian die is just perfect for making decorative rosettes too!

The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Such a beautiful card, gorgeous.
Elaine, it's a really good sign that Andrew is checking out recipes for his meals, so pleased that he is doing better. It must be a relief for you and his wife. So glad things appear to have settled down with the upstairs neighbour.
Tina, poor Mick, it is hard enough for us with the heat but when you are not and cannot regulate temperature it must be torture, no wonder you feel frustrated with trying to cool him down.
Norah, poor Harry, lucky he had grandma with him during the thunder, we are lucky as it hasn't hit us yet, still so warm.
Cheryl, lovely to see your blog yesterday, hope you are well, I have missed you.
Hugs to Tracey and all missing friends.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh thank you so much for this video, I tried to do the rosette a couple of weeks ago and I just could not do it, as you know because I emailed you about it, and you said it would be video'd about the 21st, spot on. I am going to do all my morning blogs and then watch it.....bet you can guess what I will be doing later.

Yes this heat is awful especially for anyone who has problems, I am just melting all the time and feel so drained, you know the feeling don't you. Hurry up thunder and cool us down.

Thinking of you Elaine, Andrew, Tina, Mick, Tracey and family and anyone else who I have not mentioned.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Oh my word Sue this is amazing. Good morning by the way ! As soon as the photo loaded, I gasped if that doesn't sound too OTT, but it's the truth, wow. If this isn't the one to shake me up to go and collect my Wellington die from the shop, then I may as well sell what dies, folders and card stock I have and throw in the towel. All I need to do is watch how to turn Gillian into that incredible rosette, and use another frame as I don't have the circle collection just yet. Oh boy, I predict that there will be the most stunning card prompted by today's beauty posted on the fb page by the incredibly talented Beverly F soon, this lady has more talent in her little finger nail than I have in my entire body lol it has to be said that unless you knew for sure, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference who had made which card if they were side by side ! Anyway, I shall watch the tutorial and attempt a rosette or two, get the Wellington home and see what happens. Thank you Sue for giving me that push I was looking for.
Have a lovely day. Hugs coming your way as per xxx

Hello Sue and all
love it, love it, love it!!!!!! Like June I had a try at a rosette, not too bad but your hints make it so much easier, the scoring and little pegs especially.
So glad I bought the circles from Tassie last week, will have to do one like this, I have just the person in mind.
I hope you are all coping with the heat, keep drinking water that is so important

Good morning Sue. Gorgeous card, love the rosette. Unfortunately I don't have any of the ingredients for this card and I'm having to put crafty spending on hold for a while as things have been happening at work and I don't know that I'll have a job next term. But it is making me get out my "old" dies and I have to say I'm enjoying working with the Spanish collection again.
Pam, I'm a bit further down the coast from you and we're still waiting for the thunderstorms too! Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Two very interesting techniques today that together help to make up a stunning card. I have the Gillian so can at least try making a rosette. The circle dies will have to wait till birthday money comes through though! Another six weeks to wait for that.... Because I can' t get on Freeview at our caravan despite half a dozen attempts to tune the darned thing, I only managed to catch up your weekend shows last night; I enjoyed them as always. A two hour slot is so practical.

Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
This is a gorgeous card Sue, so tactile and 3 dimensional and just so different. It reminds me off a rosette that you get for winning like at the show jumping or horse racing, ideal for our wee Wilsonettes that do all the pony club things and have went up a grade or won a show. There isn't a bit of this beauty that i don't like as it is a work of art. Thank you Sue for bringing us yet another WOW that deserves its day on the blog.
Well now that Rory, Tia and I have got over yesterdays natural fireworks we can stop shaking, oh boy do i hate thunder and lightening. I remember being up at Alcudia at the top of Majorca sitting in a restuarant when it start the grand firework display and we were right at this plate glass window. Well i ended up walking back to the hotel on my own as the friends i was with were quite happy to sit there and have a front row seat at nature at it's fireiest. When i was younger a window shattered on us when it had lightening strike it and for that reason watching it's display was not up my street, but my friends thought i was exaggerating. They found me under my bed in the hotel later on when they came back with the curtains closed. We had the four seasons in the one day yesterday i think because the sun was splitting the sky later on in the afternoon.
Sending hugs to Tracy, i hope you are getting through your last remaining duty that you can do for your dad flower, but i hope that you can get some of his little bits of wit come to you and bring a smile. To Tina E, Claire and family, hugs, thoughts and prayers to you, Elaine and Andrew, i hope that Andrew is feeling better getting out and about flower, and to Tina and Mick, i hope that it isn't so hot for you today Mick. To the other Wilsonettes that need, could do with or just want i send hugs to you all,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)
