Spanish Rose

Hi bloggers!  A lovely card for today's video instalment.  The popular Codoba die is featured in this one, along with the Classic rose and decorative frames from the Italian Collection.  I really think you will like this one.  Just a gentle reminder to become a Youtube subscriber while you are there watching the video.  You will automatically be notified by email every time we add a new video to the channel.  The subscriptions are steadily growing and to sweeten the pot, I think I'll offer some blog candy when we hit the 5,000 subscriber mark.  I know it is a bit of a challenge, but all you need to do is click the Youtube logo on the side of my blog and then click on "subscribe", simple as pie!

Buy from Joanna Sheen

Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue
What an absolutely stunning card that anyone would be thrilled to receive and one that would be framed. I love what you've done with the Cordoba frame it's a brilliant idea. The corner die is such a pretty one that I've used quite a lot ( the tag in that set is my all time favourite). The video was fabulous and the tip about glueing the edges of each petal then rolling it was genius and makes the rose look more realistic thanks for that tip.
I'm already subscribed to your You Tube channel but you will easily make the 5,000.

Hi Sue and all Wilsonettes. Love how you co-ordinated your clothes with the beautiful Spanish Rose tutorial this morning. I feel right 'on trend'.and up to date as I have the Italian decorative frames and Cordoba die, so two down, two for my list !
As I said yesterday, I have my tea cups all stamped plus a few flowers and are ready with my marker pens.
Every piece of your gift today stands out in its own way, the pattern ftom the folder, beautiful corners and the red beneath makes it all POP, such a wonderful card.

Thank you.

To those lovely friends here that have emailed me and left caring messages here (you know who you are) show just how genuinly caring you really are, so many thanks for showing me you DO really care.
I have to be in Leeds by 1pm but have lots to sort out before the hour's drive. So I'll send friendly caring hugs to Pam and Tina, to our lovely Wilsonettes having a really awful time - I care too.
So lots of hugs and love to all...
Hope to be back soon : )

So, so beautiful. I'm sure any recipient would gasp in delighted surprise on opening the envelope. This is a card to keep and treasure. Would be great for weddings, valentines and loads of special occasions.
A day of contrasts for me today - off to a course on making wired flowers this morning then to outpatients to collect a heart monitor and learn how to use it. Strange kind of day . . .

morning Sue
What a beautiful way to start the day; cup of coffee and joining Sue Wilson in her craft room and presenting the most gorgeous gift.
I love love love today's gift - apart from it being so elegant and regal. I can also see it in so many colours and for so many occasions and it's just the one I needed to finish off my task of three retirement cards. I spent the biggest part of yesterday trawling through Sue Wilson's works of art to find inspiration - I managed to whittle down four but still couldn't make up my mind so today's gift has done that just for me.
Today is going to be a 'cutting' day and then tomorrow it's a full on assembling and finishing.
Take care everyone especially Steph today and see you tomorrow.

Good morning Sue,
Hope you are well. Ooooh, this is the most gorgeous, scrumptious card ever - and I've got most of the dies!!! Yay. Will have to use the Bitty Blossoms die for the flowers but will pinch your idea of making a square out of an oblong. I know you've done it before but it looks fantastic with the Cordoba die.
I hope everyone who is ill or poorly is getting better and that Lancashire Steph gets over her hospital treatment without too much distress. Also I second the comments made by Yorkielass and Norah yesterday, I don't know how you remember all the names, I had to write yours out last night when I read all the blog - which I
do before I go to bed!!
Judy M, when I have a clear out I donate unwanted items to the local Hospice and they use them in their Art Therapy Room. Anything which I think may not be up to scratch, I give to the local school for the breakfast and after-school clubs. They are always so grateful.
I probably won't ever do such a long blog again so hope everyone is having a good day and will be able to get some crafting in! xx

Hi Sue, wow what a stunning card , just pops with the red. Love the cordoba die, it is so good when you can get multiple uses out of a die. The trick with gluing down the edge of the flower is great , I must remember it for the future. Come home soon you are soooooooo missed lol lynne m x x x

Well head didn't move in bed last night cuz pesky poochies were either side of me with their heads on my pillow stopping me from moving at all. I know how it feels in a straight jacket now!!!!!. Informed the girls that there would be NO repeat of yesterday, well they listened partly cuz no bees were chased but a few more plants lost their flower heads, if hubby asks gonna say that the roots must be ever so dry so the flowers are falling off. If I tell him its poochies I know I'll be on permanent garden patrol!!!. I swear its Tilly that is the instigator and Cully goes along with her ideas. After lunch Tilly wanted cuddles and I told her later as I had got to a good part in my book well with a glare she goes to the end of the settee plonks herself down with a huff and starts chewing the corner of another cream cushion with the side of her mouth!!!!!. Tilly I yell leave my blasted cushions alone. She looks at me for a moment then goes back
to chewing. If you stop chewing I will give you a cuddle I say. Tilly then slowly lifts herself up walks to me plonks herself down and looks at me. Well you could have knocked me down with a feather !!!!! Told hubby when he popped in and said that I knew the little beggars understand me but not that they choose to ignore what I say. My flabber has never been so gasted. This calls for devious methods on my part but I've got a feeling my two fur babies will be just as devious if not more.

June, Lindsay, Lynda, Tres, Norah, Karen,Alison,Myra,Barbara,Frances and Sandra - head slowly on the mend , thank you massive hugs and lol from fur babies x x
Steph- gentle hugs to you, hope you're soon back on the blog x x x
To all on the blog lol x x x x

Sue, what a wonderful card :). I can't work due to poor health so I don't have too much spare cash, which means so far I've only been able to get one of your beautiful dies (Seville). Looking at all the great cards you create with all the different die series, I can see that I'm going to have to try and save up for all of the sets :) What I really need is a fairy godmother lol.

Sue - hello. What a beautiful card - so up my street AND I have all the dies - but sadly no time to craft at present. I haven't been able to comment for some weeks due to being away so much and a lot of heartache. Been trying to catch up with my own life in between visits to my very poorly sister. When I have time I look forward to looking at all the lovely cards I've been missing. I'm a bit out of touch to say the least but I will try and comment when I can.. love to all X
