Festive Collection

Hi crafters!  The next die for your perusal is the Poinsettia Star die set.  This set has also been designed to fit the new star treat cup shape.  The two star shapes have interchangeable frames that go around the outside edge of the treat cup, so you can mix and match the different looks with both of these.  This set can also be used without the treat cup accessory if you prefer a flatter card or you aren't a fan of shaker cards.  Either way, it is sure to give you elegant cards and projects!  Don't forget to "pin" any of the card samples that you like or even the dies themselves.  I just love it when you share them on your Pinterest boards!  It really helps to get the word out to other crafters that may not have seen any of my die line, so thank you to all of you that take advantage of the pin it button.  I hope you are leaving comments on all the blog posts as I am looking forward to giving away a set of each of these new dies!  I will be back at 3pm for our next offering.  All for now, Sue x

Afternoon Sue and all Wilsonettes, super duper, love this collection. I have had a thought, not sure if it will work but the star treat cups, you would normally add sticky to the back to seal in the shaker pieces. Could you put two of the star cut out dies (I am assuming they are similar to your other dies in as much as they can be used as layers) as layers and cut out a star frame from a double sided sheet, this could then be used behind the acetate shaker treat cup and make it easier to seal...........Sue I hope you understand what I mean. I keep think about this processes for your other dies that have treat cups.

Anyway I will go now before those men in white coats come for me.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx

Another fabulous card. Love that the dies are so versatile too. I'm determined to start my cards early this year as I was still making on Christmas Eve last year! I hadn't really thought about it yet though, especially as it's so warm at the moment but this is fabulous inspiration to get me going.

Ohhh Sue. This sample is breathtakingly lush. I have to say I've not seen anything like this new Star you've lovingly created its absolutely beautiful. I have no idea why, but I don't enjoy creating C.cards, maybe it's because I have to start quite early (not as early as you if course) but 'getting in the mood' is the most difficult part for me, but I'm now sure that with these new collections that seem to get better every year as your design hunger grows, will give me that kick I badly need to get my act together so to speak !
as I've already stated Sue I'm in awe of your work and your wonderful endless inspiration.

Hi Sue. Ooooh this card is amazing !!! Your new Poinsettia Star die is soooo gorgeous !!! I can not pick a favourite between these two fab star dies Sue !!! They are both so gorgeous. I am a really big fan of Poinsettia's so your new Poinsettia Star die will be an absolutely perfect addition to my Poinsettia obsessed Christmas collection !!! My list of I want / need / have to have dies is rapidly increasing !!! Steve has already been groaning "oh no Sueligan strikes again" !!! More havoc with our bank account !!!
Last night my Platinum machine seemed to break inside somehow. My crafting nightmare, just as I was coming to the end of making my Fathers Day cards. ( I am a bit behind cause of illness.) I had three to make this year with my sisters other half wanting me to make something special for his Dad to. Steve got me my old Grand Caliber down with the new handle that I had got for it, so at least I am up and running again for now. I am considering getting an electric die cutting machine as my wrists are to weak and painful to keep trying to turn manual ones. I had been waiting for Spellbinders to do the electric upgrade that I had heard from rumours to the Platinum but that never seemed to happen. Has any one got any suggestions or recommendations or advice about electric machines ? I would be extremely grateful thank you.
Any way sorry Sue, back to the card, I love your colour combo and the new Swirl die looks fab. I am thinking I have not seen it before so it must be a new die ? I am looking forward to seeing your post about It. I think your new Poinsettia Star die looks so versatile again, maybe making backgrounds out of the inner Poinsettia section using polished silk glitters !!! Thank you. Ahh, there is that "peruseal" word again. I did not have to look it up this time around! You are correct, "peruseal" is a great word. Just wanted you to know, I pin your card designs and die sets. I get more "loving your pins", many everyday, from your set of cards/dies than any other group that I have on pinterest. People, as do I, are loving your designs and videos. I really like this card design today, especially those red poinsettias. My computer makes the poinsettias look like you cut them from ultrasuede fabric. Maybe an idea? I like the rhythm the holly swirls gives to the design and the shaky, shaky, shaky.

Unknown said...

Very nice card. Can't wait to get them all. To hard to pick favourite because they honestly are all great designs. I moved from ONTARIO to ALBERTA and I live an hour away from EDMONTON. If there are any Sue Wilson fans in Edmonton I would love to meet up with some fellow card makers. In the area I live there are no scrapbooking clubs or retreats that I have heard about. I would really like to be around people that will help me grow as a card maker and have a common hobby as me so we will have lots to talk about.

Poinsettia's are lovely, this would match beautifully with the individual flower ones which I have...

I think the star shaped treat cups and this die should be a package deal! What a fabulous card! The gold and the red along with the flourishes make this such an elegant card!

Signed,
love to scrap Sandi!
