Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi crafters!  I first want to mention that today is the day that I will be doing the die drawings and posting the winners so don't forget to check back later this afternoon!  First though, we have this card on offer for the giveaway this week.  I selected milk card as the background colour and I wrapped a piece of satin edged organza ribbon around the centre and taped the ends to the back.  I cut four of the Pacific Ocean Corners out of mocha card and glued them into each corner.  Next I cut a smaller piece of milk card and embossed it with the Jacobean Floral embossing folder for texture.  I inked it lightly over the top with frayed burlap. I cut the Bora Bora die in Mocha as a base, then added the Fiji die cut out of taupe card.  I cut the centre of the Bora Bora out of milk and added the Tahiti centre to it and attached it to the centre.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the small hexagon and added a slightly larger mat to it.  I tied a bow and added it to the side and topped it with a matching flower cut from the Striped Nasturtium set.  Milk, taupe and mocha mats and layers were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  Leave a comment to be included in the drawing to win this card.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card Sue, perfect for the giveaway. However wins this delight will be thrilled.L
Good luck everyone in the draw.
Lynda, oh no, poor you, your face and arm must have been so sore. Hope everything clears up for your birthday celebrations.
Carmen, fantastic news about the Kid, I'm so glad the pathology report was good, and that he is looking and feeling good. He must have missed you all.
Myra, I'm so so jealous, I would love Adirondack chairs in my garden, I've loved them since I first saw them at my brothers house in the States.
Tressa how lovely to be able to watch the whales go past. I once went on a Whake Watch in New England, marvellous sight. They are so regal.
Elaine, hope the doc was able to prescribe for your eye, sounds very painful.
Donita, you have hit the nail on the head, new labour us paid so much less than we are. And we collect the revenue in......
Hugs to all. Keep well and safe. Thinking if our missing and poorly friends.

Morning Sue. It's strange but I only remember what day it is only because of the Wednesday giveaway, it's quite worrying really, maybe it's because unless I have gp or hospital appointments each day is very much like another, so I go by what's happening on your blog lol. Anyway, each Wednesday I repeat myself and say how do you say goodbye to these adorable samples, but knowing you duplicate makes me feel better should I be that very lucky person to receive such a beautiful handmade with love gift from you.
I just love looking at your work and see how you've put these dies together it's so clever. I'll more than likely forget about the later post as I always do, but one thing I'd like to say is .... to those new followers that left 4 comments per day during the launch, please don't disappear at the finish line, even if you don't comment from here in PLEASE log into the blog daily, just by going into Particraft will boost Sue's numbers which in turn will take Sue closer to the top of the blogs. Thank you.
Sending hugs your way Sue xxx

Dear Sue and Fellow Hopefuls,

The excitement is building! We all could be winners! We are all winners, because we get to see what wonders spring from your imagination.

Something bothers me about the composition of this card. Maybe it's the corners all alone outside the layers of the middle, or maybe it's the placement of the bow, as others have said. Or maybe that one isolated striped nasturtium. What I really like, however, is how nicely the points of the Bora Bora line up with the points of the Fiji, and then the increasing intensity of the middle hexagons. Wow! I also like the colors and the embossing.

May all the giveaways be guided to their most fitting destinations.

June Smith, I think every week how great your Wednesdays are, not only the giveaway card but also your crafting group.

The birds are already chirping, so I'd best be getting to sleep.

Love,
Donita

Hello Sue,
I really like today's card apart from the flower and bow! I'm sorry I hardly ever criticise your cards - well I'm not really qualified to do that for a start! Lol. However in this instance I just feel that the flower and bow look a little odd and maybe superfluous to the card! I love the colours and Dies you have used though - still lots to admire and from which to learn!
Carmen- great news about the Kid! That must have made your day! I was thrilled and I don't know the young man!
Elaine - I'm so pleased your eye is getting better! We are all alike - " wait and see if it gets better on its own!" A lot of things do but not everything! Glad Andrew is enjoying his holiday!
Sharon - re insects ! They bite me too! They don't like Tea Tree Oil , and a Scottish remedy - for the midges with kilts , is an Avon product SSS - oil . Think it means Skin So Soft! We saw it on sale in Spain too! Hope you get something to help!
Pam - hope check up went well! You could sit on a chair today - an umbrella would be necessary though! Lol!
Lynda - so sorry about your fall! Get Well Soon!
All the best to everyone in the Draw!
We are all Winners really.

Good luck to everyone, somebody will be over the moon to win this card.

Carmen that is brilliant news, what a lovely surprise for you when he came into work. Wishing him all the very best.
Elaine, glad the cream is helping, sorry the carp aren't playing game though, tell him to poke an electric prod in the water, that'll make em jump!
Lynda ouch, hope you soon feel more comfortable.
Laine, have you started redecorating yet for Yvonne's visit? Ordered the new carpets? Curtains? Etc. She will be expecting some luxury you know.
Good luck everyone for this afternoons draw. There will be some happy dancing.

Well, this day has been SO much better than my birthday and Christmas rolled into one.....just when I was beginning to feel downtrodden by the demands of Uncle B....though he DID do the dishes all by himself tonight!:-)....i was amazed to find out this morning that i was one of the lucky winners of a bundle of FOUR festive dies from the new release, CE rather kindly ran the competition on their Facebook page last week and i never dreamed that my name would be chosen....but it was!:-) So i am now the proud owner of both Stained glass dies, the 2017 Angel AND the THree Wise Men die, my screams could be heard streets away!
Of course i had to tell my bestie Yvonne immediately and she did her very best to pretend to be pleased for me:-), but i sensed a deep rooted resentment bubbling away.
Now, i think that you all know me well enough now to assume that i would be more than satisfied by this fortuitous windfall and as such it never even occurred to me that i may also be one of Sues lucky winners so i was going about my merry way this afternoon, on cloud nine already, when i remembered about the big announcement. As my eyes ran through the long list i was pleased to see June, Myra, Rosemary P and Carmen amongst the winners before it dawned on me that i was also named.....cue more screams of delight and disbelief, how on earth could one person be so lucky in one day? Maybe i should put on a lottery ticket after all!:-)
Thankyou to Sue and the team at CE for your continued generosity, you have succeeded in putting a 1000 watt smile on my normally sullen face:-)
Carmen, congrats honey, well deserved. How heartening to here about the Kids great progress, onwards and upwards:-)
Elaine, thanks for your congrats this morning, i would never have noticed without your heads up. Hope Andrew is equally lucky and catches that elusive carp!
Myra, I'm so pleased that you are one of the winners, i cant think of a more deserving recipient....no, I'm not pulling your leg, I'm totally sincere for a change:-)
Maureen, if that offer is genuine then i may seriously take you up on it after all, you have met Yvonne and realise what i suffer........:-)
Yvonne, come on admit it already, I AM clearly Sue's No.1 fan so suck it up!:-)
Huge hugs to all my bestiesxxx

Hi Sue. Unfortunately I didn't win any of the dies on the last launch so It looks as though I will have to buy all my favourites. Luckily it was payday a couple of days ago.

Love the simplicity of todays card even though on my laptop it looks as though you have used blue and white card, very strange.

Good morning Sue,
Too late for the draw but not too late to appreciate the opportunity to see the beautiful cards you make. I am working on my family to give me a second birthday this year. Not for money you understand but for half a day out to the craft shop. Due to my low vision and arthritis I don't go out alone and still have gift cards to spend.
