Lovely card Sue, gorgeous. Makes me think holidays.
Crewe Trish, I'm so sorry to hear you have lost your big brother, my heartfelt sympathies to you and your Mum. He fought so hard to stay with you as long as possible. If it's any consolation he is now pain free, no more fear or disappointments, he is at peace and will live forever in your hearts. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Maria, wherever you are, I hope you are having a good time, it's very very wet here.
June, a good result, new PC,was the upgrade consolation for having to wait or did you splash out.
Norah, I think it is the norm for the govt buildings to be either non functional or dysfunctional. Our Air Conditioning is too hot in summer and freezing in winter, nothing changes.
Maureen you are naughty, if George has to go, who will pander to your needs, give your head a shake.
Hugs to all, especially poorly and missing friends, NannaTina, special hug for you.
Hello Sue, what a fun card, love it, makes me want to be on a tropical beach somewhere and not in rainy England. Great video too. Have a great day all. Bx
Such a happy feel to this fun card Sue, will enjoy the video after work. Have a great day, hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a lovely card today, great idea about the bottle being used for champagne as well.
Pam I reiterate everything you have said. No the upgrade is because they could not match like for like PC as they were al out of stock so as part of the agreement they have to provide a higher priced one. The only down side to all this fiasco is that BT have told me that as I know long have a broadband with them (I switched to Virgin 2 years ago because it was cheaper), then they will cancel the email I have had for 30 years without any notice, I have been on the phone to them constantly for the past 2 days trying to sort it out. The only way I can keep this email is if I have my broadband with them again............It is an awful way to treat their customers. I have therefore now had to open a gmail account and let everyone know, gosh it is going to take me ages and ages to sort it out. Anyway enough about me.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
What a cheery an fun card! Love the message. This hibiscus are stinging. Makes me want to be lost in their beautiful setting. Have a good day.

Hi Sue
Today's card will make everyone want to be on a gorgeous beach somewhere, warm and not raining. Love it. Have a good day.

Morning Sue. What a vile wet cold day, more like November than June. Why you relocated from the warmth of Florida to the cold of the UK beats me lol.
So to wake up to this bright happy cheerful sample takes my mind off the outside gloom and replaced it with the lush smell of coconut sun block, the heat of the sun on my joints a long cold pina colada a good book and the sound of gentle rippling waves kissing the golden hot sands - then I woke up lol.
So I'll send on my love n hugs to help give you a bright happy day xxx
Good morning Sue. A lovely tropical card today, very warming on this very dull, windy and wet day.

Good morning Sue. Beautiful card, I'm going to be daydreaming about being on a tropical beach, sipping a long cool drink, being waited on hand and foot all day now! Reality is rainy day, hormonal teenagers and exam season stress!
Crewe Trish, sending you my sympathies on the loss of big brother. Ditto to all Pam's comments. Hugs to all, Sue xxx.

Hi Sue,
Such a lovely happy card evoking warm sand, a cool breeze and an even colder drink by my side - so unlike what's happening to my garden in these gale force winds!...just off to watch the video to see how you've done it.

Hi Sue
A very nice card , loving the theme and wish i was somewhere sunny.
Saba Nice to see you back ,hope you are well.
Norah, i also am no lover of lightening ,i remember in 1967 the sky was green we had horrendous thunder and lightening i was 7 months pregnant and on my own as john was working overtime , so i decided to take my mind off it by doing the ironing { what a plonker } xx
Maureen ,you are so naughty , i give my john some stick at times , but your poor George well ,,,,, he deserves a medal .xx
Special hugs n loves to Crewe Trish and her Mum.xx
Pam i wish you a good day and echo your summery.
Take care Everyone
Big hugs to all
Dear Sue and Loyal Commenters,
Really, I like the bottle better without the outline. Looks more like a bottle. With the outline it looks short and fat, like something in a preschool.
Thanks for the tip on doing a soft, fluffy-cloud sky.
The Birthday Wishes words are nice, but I wonder if they convey the idea that the wishes are happy ones? Maybe, since it's not specified, that sentiment would be good for someone you don't like very much. So they can imagine you're sending wishes for a happy birthday, and you can imagine that you're sending them wishes that they start showing their age.
I was delighted and surprised to see at the papercrafting convention in Massachusetts this weekend that one of the vendors from Ohio had Creative Expressions Gilding Polish. The guy doing the demo showed how any diecut can be a mask, how one color of polish gives you, basically, a glimmer card stock, and the next color over a die cut used as a mask will completely hide the first color, except where the mask was. So if you use coordinating colors, you get a lovely effect. Also, the die cut used as a mask ends up in the second color. And he showed how you can ink a stamp with the polish, backgrounds as well as words. Of course I got lots of colors. One woman in my group described that demo as the shoe-polish stuff.
I saw several vendors that seemed to have copied some of Sue's dies, especially the window/door and the tree with the tire swing.
Spellbinders still doesn't have dies as graceful as Sue's, but at least they've stopped expecting us to make flowers one petal at a time.
Having a really good time with my friends being delighted by dies, stamps, samples and colors until my feet hurt so much they wouldn't let my eyes keep looking was so enjoyable that I forgot I've been anxious and angry and my will to live was getting sapped. It all came back to me at work Monday, though.
Oh well, as someone at work once said, that's why they call it work.
Crewe Trish, so sorry about your brother. Sending you love that I hope will add to all the love that everyone sends so that you can float on it through this terrible time. As my psychiatrist once told me, "This is the sucky time." That actually helped. Or as I saw on Facebook, "Sometimes life gets too lifey."
I hope you will find moments to enjoy, like meeting people your brother knew who will tell you something about him that you had never heard before but that is so like him.
Love,
Donita

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I'm glad to be back in 'craft land', after having an enjoyable, long weekend away but did miss my particraft fix. So now playing catch up on the blog. Like everyone else ,I do like today's card. It reminds me not only of tropical holidays spent in my mind but of those to look forward to in the future. Maybe an umbrella over the bottle with rain drenched hibiscus flowers would be more appropriate for now.lol. Hugs xx P Austen

Hello Sue
Such a wonderful bright and cheerful card this morning. It was so good to see this to take my thoughts away from the gloomy day outside following the horrendous rain and winds which started yesterday evening and have only just started to calm down a little.
The dies are really useful and could be used for many different occasions.

For once my county is not living up to it's name, sunny Somerset, I haven't seen the sunset for a few days now!
Love the 'message in a bottle' card, so appropriate for those that live by the sea or in a warmer clime than ours. I'm not going to ask where you get the inspiration from, it's from your wonderful imagination and I'm so pleased you share it with us all.
Crewe Trish, many condolences on the loss of your brother.
May the pain of the elephant standing on your heart ease with remembrance of the wonderful memories you have shared over the years. While you speak his name, talk, write, think and remember him, he will never be gone, just missing for a while until you meet again.
Gentle hugs and healing prayers to all in discomfort, pain or loss

Well this really made me smile today. Here we are with the wind blowing a gale, the rain beating down & Sue's card shows a tropical island scene! It certainly brightened my day. Thanks Sue!
Such a lovely card. I LOVE the beach and water. I just wish I could find the plastic insert. I was searching and found a combo of the die and one insert on ebay but can't find additional inserts. This could be such a fun idea.

So awesome! On this rainy day,5th or 6th in a row (but who's counting?), it is a welcome sight to remind me that Summer might arrive soon! Thanks for the dose of sunshine thoughts!
Hello Sue
Oh this card is just fantastic, I love it.
Pam and Elaine, I know you will never believe this but the first thing people usually say to George when they meet him for the first time is "How do you put up with her" ha ha. He wouldn't change me for the World - I have all the bank details lol.
Pam, hope the old chest is behaving.
Elaine, hope all is good with your family.
Myra, what lessons do you have today!!!
Yvonne, hope you feel livelier soon.
Laine, we miss you.
Crewe Trish, thinking of you and your family.
Donita, your conventions sounds brilliant - can we all come next year? Sorry that you have come down to earth with a bump at work. Hope the Kid is improving.
Ladies, I've spoken to Yvonne and she is fine but incredibly tired and hardly able to function. She's popping in when she can and leaving a short note. There's nothing sinister in her absence so don't worry. Her parents will be visiting this weekend which will probably give her a boost. She has spoken to Laine who she said is fine but very busy and will eventually post again.
Love to all xxxx
Hi Sue,
Lovely card. You do realise that this card has put us all in the holiday mood and considering the weather most of us are experiencing today that is a lovely idea. I for one am happy to have such thoughts.

good afternoon Sue and the happy gang of Wilsonettes,
Crikey its funny the thoughts that go through your head when you see something for the first time and today it was the song "Message in a bottle" which forgive my ignorance but i think it was the group Madness or somewhere along those lines that sung it. This card would definitely make a different postcard to send home or a lovely card for the gents in our lives that love to travel. Yes it reminds me of the dinky bottles of milk that we used to get at Primary school with a wee red straw, the only thing wrong with them was that the milkman left them outside from early in the morning from his milk float and if the sun was up and warming up, guess what else was warming up and didn't taste as good, yueck. That was when milk came in glass bottles and the cream on the top would rise in the frozen cold mornings and the silver foil lid would rise with it, or the birds would be in at it first to get the cream from the top. It was always funny when we were at my Nanas staying and watching the lazy neighbours that weren't up with the lark shooing the birds away from their bottles of milk and shaking a fist at them for taking the best bit of the milk. Thank you flower for a lovely card and my memories.
Happy Birthday Billy, i hope that you have as lovely a day as you can but no jigging with the grandchildren tonight or your body will say"nnnnooooo, please how much pain do you think i can cope with at one time". Enjoy your day flower. The first birthday cake that my daddy had was when i bought it out of the shop as i got older. I couldn't believe that he had never had a birthday cake but he was born in 1934 so perhaps it wasn't that possible. I never missed a birthday for him nor mum that they didn't have a birthday cake to mark their special day just as they marked Jim and mines.
Crewe Trish, sending you hugs and prayers flower, you and Mum are in my thoughts.x
Sending hugs to all the Wilsonettes,
Love and crafty hugs

Just a fun card design. Perfect for a summer card. Shaky, shaky, shaky!
What a great fun card, Sue, lovely design and the shaker bottle is brilliant. Having PC and phone troubles since the storms, sadly not showing your video on page - so unable to access. Anyway, will thank you in advance of viewing!
Crewe Trish - so very sorry to see that you have lost your brother, thinking of your family. Hold fast to the good times, if you can.
Tres - apologies, will blame aforementioned PC trouble for not seeing your post - sad for you on the loss of Charlie Puss, we love them all perhaps too much.
News of Yeti tomorrow, PC willing.
Donita - so envious, seems you're having a fab time. Nothing like a spot of retail craft therapy to lift the spirits!! Think I could do with some of that.
Hugs to all, especially our missing people.

Hello Sue,
A very pretty card and very different which is always nice! I love the flowers and palm trees too! A cup of soup , an umbrella and a pair of wellies would be more fitting for here today!!
Our lawn is covered in twigs and even some branches- this usually happens in winter - not June!
Maureen - I have got a Detention! I have to write 100 times - ' I must not be rude to my elders' .
Norah - I'm now humming message in a bottle - thanks for that!!
Maureen thanks for the news on Yvonne and Laine! Yvonne so sorry you aren't well. Hope you get some strength back very soon!
Thanks Pam - as ever - you keeep us up to date .

Norah (Glenochil) said "Message in a bottle" which forgive my ignorance but i think it was the group Madness or somewhere along those lines that sung it

Hello Sue,
Thank you for a brilliant video, I loved watching you put together this card, it was obvious you enjoyed doing it. I think we would all like to be sitting under the palm trees, I wouldn't even read the message in the bottle just in case it said help was on its way!
Elaine, thank you, I'm fine. Missing Blighty of course but hopefully the family will be visiting here soon, so looking forward to that.
Maureen thank you for the update, hope the dastardly duo will soon be back on form. Hugs to them both.

P in Wales, thank you for kind comments about Charlie puss.
He started his life as a Feral cat. He was found near the Hospital where I worked at the time. No one wanted him so I took him home with me. You could tell he was an older kitten. I was only meant to look after him for one night. We put posters up and phoned around ect but no one ever came to claim him. He was a proper wild one, but over the years he became so calm and so loving that he got to the point where he wanted to come and curl up on my lap and have lots of cuddles !!! The staff at the vets were amazed as they said he would never reach that point as he was to wild. He was with me for about sixteen and a half years and became a real treasured member of my family. He came such a long way, from how he first started his life. When I met my other half, he moved in with me and Charlie puss had to adjust to living with his two dogs as well !!! It took a few years but Charlie puss ruled the roost in our house with the dogs and had myself and Steve wrapped around his little paws !!! They say cats have servants and I think we all were. Lots of love to you from Tres x x x
Lots of love to everyone from Tres x x x
Hi Sue, sorry I am so late, it was always going to be a busy day but then I also had a funeral to attend. Your card is just what I needed after a long, very wet (it hasn't stopped raining all day) and a somewhat sad day. I love all the contents of the bottle and the tiny seagulls are so sweet. Thanks for the tip on making the cloudy sky background, I must give that a go.
Carmen - glad the Kid is home and I hope he gets on top of the pain soon.
Tres - thanks for Charlie Puss' story. I'm sure that all the strays we take in could tell a tale or two and yes, we are definitely their servants :-)
'P' - look forward to the update on Yeti.
Going to fall into bed now so goodnight everyone.
