Thinking Of You

Hi there my crafty friends!  Firstly, I want to say a great big thanks to all the birthday wishes you sent yesterday!  It was truly lovely to be remembered like that.  It was a big birthday too (don't you just love having to jump into another birthday decade, not! LOL)  I had a lovely relaxing day, followed by a beautiful meal, exactly what I wanted!
Today's card is showcasing the beautiful Succulent Garden die set.  This set is really amazing as you can cut them out of felt as I ave done here and they look just like succulents or you can cut them out of card and they make into the prettiest flowers too!  Use the matching stamp set to add more detail and you will be astounded at how they come out!  For this card, I selected a piece of milk card and used the Stone mask and embossed it in the Platinum machine.  Before removing the mask, I inked through it with Antique Linen Distress ink to bring the pattern out a bit more.  I used my scissors around the edge of the card and distressed it and curled the corners.  I allowed the mask to fade out towards the bottom too.  I selected several shades of felt (from my stash) and made a cascade of succulents down the left side of the card.  I love that they look like they are growing out of the wall!  I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with the Pierced Flags and attached it with foam across the card.  I inked the edges of it as well.  The card was completed with milk mats and layers and some paper piercing around the edges.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card Sue, beautiful. I just love these flowers. Hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration and were treated royally.
NannaTina, such a tonic to see you back on the blog, it was so good hearing from you. We all understand how hard it has been for you since losing your lovely hubby Mick. Hope Jessica has a wonderful birthday on Wednesday.
VeeCee, welcome to the blog, you will find lots of inspiration and support here. We are a very friendly bunch. As you are new to die cutting, just take it one step at a time, you can use the dies you buy as they are they will still look beautiful.
Saba, lovely to see you back too, hope you have been okay.
Maureen and Alison, please take it easy, don't want you ill again.
Pat, hope Billy is still doing well.
London, stand strong and proud, you are in my prayers, as is Manchester.
Thanks for the support folks, they seem to forget at work any germs, dust etc us sucked up into the air conditioning and circulated throughout the building. Think they are trying to sweep it under the carpet or behind the cabinets but too much dust there lol.
Daily hugs to all especially our poorly and missing friends, thinking of you all.

Mmmm, will have to think about this one, Sue, not grabbing straight away. Very unusual medium for you - but love the colours.
Glad you had a good birthday - knew it must be coming up to a big one because once you did say you were 57, but couldn't remember when. Think I'm one of many who would be glad to be 60 again!!
Pam, wishing you a dust-free week and echoing.
Nanna Tina - hi!! We're mostly all still here, good to hear from you.
Hugs.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a lovely card today, I saw it on Julia's Hochanda show and thought it was fantastic then.

So pleased you enjoyed your birthday, you certainly deserve it.

Pam I reiterate everything you have said above, welcome to our newbies and special hugs to all who need them.

My thoughts and prayers are for all the victims of London and Manchester. The people who did these atrocities are pure evil.

Well I had a result with my PC, as the contract I have means that if my PC is not repaired within 14 days then I am entitled to get a new replacement one. This I did yesterday, it is a higher spec with a 27" screen, all-in-one PC. I am in the process of setting everything up, which will take a little while but so far very pleased.

Looks like it is going to be a lovely sunny day today, my friend is coming round later, but I have much to clear up in my craft room. oh dear busy, busy.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Morning lovely.
So happy to read you spent your day relaxing and enjoyed every minute of your 'biggy' no more than you deserve. It's just a number and you look radiant. If crafting makes you look younger than your years maybe I should have started way sooner than I did lol.
Now to your sample, one word - delightful. It seems no matter what material is used to cut your flower die collection they all look absolutely beautiful, and I just love how you've made them look like they are growing up a wall, genius ☺
A lovely start to a new week of inspiration, thank you.
Hope this new chapter is as happy and exciting as your previous. Sending you love n hugs this Monday lovely lady xxx

Thank you!

Wishing everyone the best of weeks. Early June is my favorite time of year. Everything is fresh, new and hopeful. And there are so many colors of green. By July, they're all the same green.

Good afternoon Sue and the happy gang of Wilsonettes,
Sorry Sue but we have had lovely thunder and lightening this weekend and i have had everything switched off that i could switch off and working old school. I know but i am absolutely terrified from it so i am so glad that i have a gas cooker and a lighter, at least we could have something hot. HAPPY BIRTHDAY lovely lady(belated), i am so pleased that you had a lovely day and hey going up into the over 50's club isn't as bad as you think, ;-D I hope that you got treated like the lady you are flower as you deserve it.
Todays card i think would be perfect for any adult as it is not frilly and fussy, so even my sister in law would like it and that's saying something i can tell you. The flowers done in the felt have such a different look about them, which i think for someone that had sight problems it would give that textured feel so that they could see the card with their fingers. Thank you flower for such a different wonder today and i hope that where ever you are that it is a lovely day. I got my stamp prize on saturday so although i haven't tried them out yet, they are so pretty the flowers, all i have to do is summon up the courage to cut them all out, lol.
Well me, the dog and a few other wee people were all in hiding this weekend because of him up above moving around his furniture. That i can handle, it's when he starts playing with the electricity and making the skies light up that i get terrified. Never quite got over the panes of glass that shattered one night when i was small just through the thunder and lightening. Campbell spent the time on his ipad and phone when they were working, along with Rory, but me i had turned off every plug that i possibly could so i got my knitted shawl finished to the border which i am picoting off the stitches at the moment. I hope that where ever you all are that you had a better weekend than that.
Nice to see you back Nanna Tina, sending you welcome back hugs and hope that you are having more good than bad days flower, it's a long road but your blog friends are all here for you. x
Pam, before i left/ was pensioned off they had built a beautiful new building that had all this gorgeous glass, state of the art(supposidly) air con but the lovely windows were sealed units, not one of them opened and the state of the art air con, was more oftener on the blink than working, oh unless you count it putting through hot air on stifling days and freezing cold air during the winter. So many people were off sick and yes some off us believe it was caused by the air con, it certainly didn't help when bugs were going around. They are now pulling all staff out of the building and putting them back in the old building that was falling down which was the reason for the new building in the first place. Menage or brewery comes to mind, either way they couldn't run it.
CreweTrish, i am so sorry to hear/read about your big brothers passing, sending you and your family hugs and prayers flower, your mum will be absolutely devastated as no ones' child should go before them whatever their age.x
Maureen, you stop being bad to poor George, what that poor man has to put up with. I wonder if it's your cheekiness that he fell in love with all those years ago, lol.
Sending hugs down to you Tres on the loss of your baby, it's like losing a member of your family when you lose your baby 4paws whatever kind.
To all this weekend's winners i am so sorry that i am just congratulating you today but you will so enjoy your prize when it arrives.
sending love and crafty hugs to all our lovely Wilsonettes,
love and crafty hugs

Thank you! I'm so pleased you had a good day yesterday and as has been said age is a number and often means very little !!!
CrewTrish - so sorry to hear about your brother - how kind not to mention it on Sue's Birthday! Thinking of you all.
Alimeeca - Alison - I see you are trying to be good! This is not easy! If you are Maureen - it's impossible!
Maureen - Thirty!!! I'll go along with that it means I'm still at school!!!
Laine - I think you are still missing ! Getting really concerned about you! Hope you feel well enough to come back very very soon!
We've just returned home today from visit to younger son and his lovely wife! That's why I've been late and/ or quiet!
Thanks Pam - but sorry for all your troubles at work!

I am glad to gear you had a great birthday! What a fabulous card! I love the succulents. They are my favorite plants, I think because they seem so alien.

Wowzers! I love this card, Sue! The felt flowers give such dimension and texture. The composition is spot on too!

Thanks for sharing your talent with us every day.
