Thinking Of You

Hi crafters!  Today's offering is a diagonal Gemini die border card using wisteria, white and black card.  I started by cutting the diagonal border in coconut white card using the Cepheus Gemini die.  I did two across without the cutting edge, then flipped it the other way and centred it below in the middle and used the matching cutting edge.  I followed the shape and hand cut the remaining areas to the edges of the card.  I backed it wit a piece of wisteria card that I scored the bottom to add detail.  For the focal element, I cut the Butterfly Frame centre in white and backed it with wisteria card.  I cut the same die in back and cut it in half and added it to the sides peeking out from underneath.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Double Pierced Noble Circle die, adding a light inking of Chic Viola Colour Cloud before removing it and a black mat from the B set.  I cut several of the Exquisite Poppies in wisteria card, adding black lines with a fine tipped pen.  I added black centres and white pearls to them and arranged them around the focal element with Lace Edged Leaves, Olive Branches and white satin ribbon.  White, wisteria and black mats were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

What a lovely start to my Friday. Good morning Sue. You are clever,I couldn't do that, I don't even understand how even after reading your method a few times, I'm so dumb lol, but today's sample is so effective and the pop of black card just emphasises the rest of the design. Tell me, why don't my poppy flowers look like yours ? I was and still am in the process of cutting some to add to a Get Well card for my market basket but the Cotterill version and the Wilson version don't look anything like !! Hohum I keep trying lol.
Thank you for a lovely Friday morning and I'm sending you my usual daily hug xx

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Totally exquisite, love all of the components of this card, it just sings to me. The Gemini die is stunning cut diagonally across this card and the poppies with their black veins and centres are beautiful and provide the perfect embellishment. It's certainly a card to place in my must do folder.
Busy, busy day, didn't think that i would have the time or the energy to comment today but i was so impressed with today's sample that i had to pop by again. Keeping it brief because my bed is calling me urging me to collapse into it.
Pam, glad you reached your destination safely, it felt strange this morning coming onto the blog without your cheery, reassuring words that set us all up for the day ahead. Hope you have a fabulous day tomorrow, you deserve itxxx
Frances, Ginger Boy we thought, had gotten the message because he disappeared for a couple of days, however, this afternoon he cheekily ran past my Mum into our kitchen making a beeline for the biscuits:-) We sent him on his merry way again but he is obviously being fed elsewhere and hopefully it's a loving, caring home.
June, that cheers me up no end knowing that you enjoy my musings....others on the blog don't seem to appreciate me quite so much:-)....if I succeed in bringing a smile to anyone's face then i am more than ecstatic.
Elaine, my heart breaks for Helen, it must be so hard being separated from her Mum as she suffers, however, Andrews progress will help matters i hope. If anyone deserves something to laugh about its you my dear, and i am so honoured to have provided you with a little light relief:-) Hugs to you all, your in my thoughts dailyxxx
Saba, my Mum is a Yorkshire lass and has been known to say "Sithey", does that have a similar meaning as "Sither"? She's from West Yorkshire, Brighouse near Huddersfield so there may be regional differences....
Yvonne, hope you get a decent rest tonight and have a safe trip to the Isle of Wight tomorrow. A few misguided people on the blog think that I will miss you but we both know better don't we? :-) I will be fully expecting a stick of rock at the very least on your return my dear otherwise you'll feel the wrath of my tongue:-) Enjoy yourself with the boys and Dylanxxx
Carmen, why on earth did you think that I was a smoker??!!? I only have respectable vices such as shopping, alcohol, young men, Sue's dies of course and yet more shopping.....smoking is a waste of money, makes you smell bad and ages you prematurely and i have standards to keep! My Mum smokes but I confine her to her bedroom since its an nasty, unsociable habit and i don't want the neighbours knowing she's an addict:-) You evaded my question about whether or not i was welcome to stay with you sometime.....I.m beginning to sense that you are all mouth and no action....just saying!
Crafty hugs to all my besties on the blog, I won't list you because i have so many:-)....and it would be tedious to those with few friends ie Carmen and Yvonne, don't wish to rub salt in the wounds:-)

Crafty hugs

Pam I'm so glad you have arrived safely, you were missed this morning. Bet you are so excited tonight!
Wheelybad it's nice to see you back but sorry you have been having such a rough time of it.
Now as to Sither. Myra you were right and that's how it would have been translated in days gone by. And Laine there are regional variations but all mean the same. There's Sither, Sitha and Sithey, It's more modern translation would be - look here! Or see here!
Yvonne my bed is calling too, have a lovely holiday.
Love and hugs for all

Hi Sue
A really beautiful colour combination for this gorgeous card!
I love the way you use the Gemini Cepheus die in this card and how you have placed the centre from the Butterfly Frame.
I find that little centre so useful and have used it a lot.
Have a great weekend Sue and all your Blog Followers!

Hi Sue,

Another beautiful card! I love the color combination and the Cepheus Gemini die. Interesting way to use this die set. Thank you for the inspiration.

Pam -I wish you to enjoy your special day, relax and let yourself be spoiled, you deserve it!
Elaine – So sorry for Helen She’s going thru difficult days. Even you know what’s next; you are never ready for it.Hugs for all of you.
'P' in Wales – It‘s said that joyfulness keeps the heart and face young (so you won’t need a facial).:)
PP/Yvonne - It is true that you will be missed here, but I am very glad that you will take this time to rest and have fun. Have a safe trip. Enjoy your vacations! Don’t worry about Laine and I, we have each other, as noted by Pat.
Laine - Why on earth do you think I thought you were a smoker? :) I was trying to suggest another way of relaxation for you, beside the Caci ...facial. People smoke to calm their nerves...But for you, smoking is a waste of money; one cigarette won’t be enough to calm you down, not even a full pack.:) I haven’t withdrawn the invitation. Let's wait until next winter. I hope the Canadian cold will freeze your sharp tongue for some time. :)

Have a great weekend everyone,
