Treasured Friend

Hi crafters!  Another one using the Cascading Butterfly die set today!  You have seen how pretty it looks with Pixie Powders, but I think it is just as stunning done in a simple blush, white and black combo.  I started by cutting an aperture in blush card using the Cascading Butterfly die set. I added a piece of acetate across the back, then added mounting foam to raise it for dimension.  I embossed a piece of white card with the Butterfly Dreams and added it behind the aperture.  I cut the Cascading Butterfly die again but this time in black and I used just the outline shape and added it over the aperture to define the shapes.  I stamped my sentiment and cut a frame from the Cape Verde die set to go over it and added it in the upper corner of the card.  I made three black flowers using the Chrysanthemum die set and accented them with Spring Foliage in white.  I completed the card with white, black and blush mats. The finished dimensions are 6" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now,  Sue x

Stunning card Sue, lovely. The sentiment is for you.
I peeked at your new collection, another stunning set if dies and stamps, I think I'm going to join the beans apron toast queue too.
Elaine, sad news about Helens Mum but at least she is pain free and peaceful which is a blessing. You are all such a strong family unit and support each other, my thoughts are with you all. I hope Andrews injections do the trick.
Myra, I enjoy the banter and didn't take offence but if you had gone for the old dowager it may have been different lol, and would love To meet you too, sounds fun, where do you live, I'm Hartlepool.
Lori, hope that awful rain has stopped and not heading fir the biblical 40 days and 40 nights.
P hope your u
Hubby is sleeping better too.
Crewe Trish, I'm sure your daughter will have a great time.
Just to let you all know I'm away from today to Monday for my birthday, not sure if I will be able to comment or if so when but I will catch you all when I can, take care everyone.
Hugs to all, especially our poorly, missing and anxious friends, big hugs to all caring for sick family.

Lovely card ,i do like the black outline on the butterflies and the flowers are beautiful .
I have sneaked pass and not looked at your new collection Sue , { i love surprises i do } but i do eagerly await the big day, Eee lass we have so much to look forward to.

.Pam have a wonderful Birthday and enjoy your time away.

Saba, Andrew always greets you with a Ey up and even starts it on an text message ,apparently i have been told i am always saying Eee Lass ,,,,,,

Nanny Jo The afternoon you had sounds wonderful and so rewarding .

Dragonsnap ,I am a big believer in Feng Shui , hang some crystals in the windows or put on the window sill { Soak them in salted water first for about half an hour , rock salt is the best if you have some then let them dry naturally } and open the windows to get the chi circulating around the room . if it does no good it can't do any harm ., give it a go.

Patricia, April is nearly upon us , are you packed and ready ? thank you for the hug sending you one too. x

Helens Mum is still under sedation ,and no change in her condition at all at the moment.

Dear Sue and Avid Followers,

Now that we've been tantalized, I don't see how we can wait almost two weeks before we get new and delicious samples to view.
If anyone is wondering how everyone knows where to get the sneak peak, I won't say, but I'll hint. There's a link on the Particraft home page to this retailer, then look under Recently Added Products.
i would be beside myself trying to find out if I hadn't vaguely remembered from last time, tried it and found it.
It will be interesting to see how persuasive the new samples and videos will be. I've made a list of my love-at-first-sights to order, but I'm sure I'll have to put in a couple of mopping-up orders after the samples do their work.
Happy Birthday to Pam!
Now, who's going to be our Dries Clear Glue while she's out celebrating? We need a Cosmic Second to do the morning recap for us when our beloved Pam's away.
Sue, you've done it again! Congratulations on another string of successes!
Isn't this exciting, Fellow Followers?

Love,
Donita

Hi Sue, love the design of this card and even like the black chrysanthemums but I'm not struck by the black butterfly outline, it is too strong for me. Hello Sue,
This is a truly lovely card. I love this Die set and the little thin edge makes all the difference in the world! I love the black and white it makes the butterflies really pop! The Chrysanthemum Die is beautiful also and cuts so well. As someone has already said it looks great in any colour. John used it a lot too. He was very good but he always is! Thank you once again!
Pam - I'm in a village in Lancashire so not that near you - but - maybe one day! Have a lovely few days away and a Happy Birthday for Saturday. I'd offer to stand in for you but I only ever see 6am when we have an early Flight somewhere!! I can hear some friends choking at the mere thought of it!!
Laine - you would be fine in the Diplomatic corps - as you say the tact and diplomacy however has me a tad worried! You told Saba yesterday to bring a sock to stuff in my mouth! Trust me - don't give her ideas like that!!! Lol! However , I would like to think of both as my friends! I said a while back that I needed to get out more!!
Carmen - Regrets I've had a few! Isn't that a song!
Think I'd better go.
Firstly though I'll echo Pam and I really do think of all those who are poorly or hospital visiting or caring for others.
Love to all, Myra xxx

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

A fantastic card sample featuring one of my most favourite die sets at the moment....i never tire of this card layout, the butterflies are simply gorgeous, i particularly like the black outline against the soft blush card. The black Chrysanthemums against the blush is equally breathtaking, so glad that I have all of these dies...just need to invest in the Butterfly Dreams EF now! I will most definitely be attempting my own interpretation of this wonderful card so thanks Sue for achieving the impossible and sparking my long lost creativity:-)
I've had a fairly busy day today, highlight being a trip to Dobbies for a coffee with a friend...yes, i do have some despite what others may believe!......i picked up a Yankee Candle large jar candle at a bargain price, it was one of the gorgeous Christmas scents that fill my bedroom with the sweet smells of baking and spices, lovely.....my Mums "indulgence" came in the form of a large plastic rectangular container to soak your oven trays in and a few pairs of rubber gloves....boy, she sure knows how to live!:-)
Having a quiet night watching the soaps now with my candle burning to my side, feeling quite tired so have to rest up for my busy day tomorrow when i get another Caci facial....no dog poo involved in the process Saba despite your aspersions to the contrary:-)
Pam, oh you will be missed my dear, i would have suggested Myra as a suitable replacement but we all know of her reputation as a late riser....she needs a lot of beauty sleep so Maureen has hinted!:-) We will struggle on in your absence happy in the knowledge that you are getting a well deserved break away from it all, Happy Birthday when it arrives, enjoy yourself!
Saba, i think that it would be wise to use your fishermans knots when disabling Myra because she can be a slippery customer at times...the sock is to be utilised as a gag if and when required:-)
Myra, thanks for acknowledging my diplomatic skills, they have been very handy when dealing with tricky individuals such as Yvonne, tact and empathy have been vital during our meetings, if only everyone was as easy to get along with as you and me my love the world would be a far less complex place:-)
Carmen, it has become increasingly apparent that you are completely delusional, far from being green in palour i am actually clear skinned and rosy cheeked thanks to my regular facials, a true English Rose as they say, in actual fact the real Shrek impersonator is you my dear....sad really that you are so envious of my position on the blog as Sue's favourite that you feel the need to turn others against me, give up dear, before you crash and burn spectacularly:-) Does this mean that I won't be getting that invite to stay anytime soon?
Yvonne, how utterly tragic that you haven't had your oh so obvious roots touched up, zero chance of picking up that toyboy on holiday now:-) Nevermind, i bet you're almost as excited as i am now that we have had a sneaky peek of the new release, so excited that i almost lost control of all bodily functions....Tena Lady, we salute you!......I hope for the sake of your already fragile sanity that you have broadband access on the Isle of Wight next week just in case the blogathon begins........xxx
Elaine, thinking of you, Andrew, Helen and her Mum, hope things improve soonxxx
Maria, how are your eyes doing? And your shoulders? Healing hugs honeyxxx
Cuddles to all my blog besties, P, Pat, Frances,Alison,Lynda,Deb C, Tracy, June, Maureen, the Naughty Nine, Theresa, Donita and anyone else i have neglected to mentionxxx

Hello Sue,
The Cascading butterflies die is just lovely especially with its black framed outline. I love the chrysanthemum flowers, maybe not in black but they are a stunning design and they do coordinate with the black outline to give balance to your card. I spent ages today talking to my daughter on the phone and the main topic was your new collection. She's already pre ordered - another convert to the wonderful world of Wilsonettes.

Pam have a lovely holiday and a wonderful birthday, we'll miss you if you can't get in but look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.
Sharon hope all went well at the doctors, here's hoping you feel better soon.
Elaine, Ey up is a funny old thing, so many meanings, a greeting, a warning a surprise, I've tried explaining to my husband that it all depends upon the way it's said. I can't begin to explain to him what Sither means! Thinking of you and your family.
Myra you know I love you to bits, but the sock isn't a bad idea!
Love and hugs to one and all

I love butterflies and can't believe that these are still on my shopping list and not on my shelves. Love the card, especially the black outline and the flowers are a perfect finish. Thanks Sue.
Things are improving next door and slowly getting back to normal. Rachel has crystals but has never heard of soaking in saline so will have to try that one.
Pam, enjoy your birthday holiday. We will miss your early comments. They are always so caring and apt.
Short comment today as I had steroid injections in my chest this morning and now the anaesthetic has worn off it's very painful.
Good night all. Stay safe and hugs to all.

Hi Sue
Its a lovely card, I adore butterflies and I'd like to send sentiment back to you for the cards that cheer me each day, keeping crafty fire burning and to the Wilsonettes who think of me and others each day. Sometimes I read some comments evenif not be up to commenting and it might sound daft but it helps so much. Thank you everyone xxx

Elaine, my thought are with Andrew, especially Helen and her mum at this difficult time, big hugs to you all x

Pam, happy birthday for next week, big hugs x

Hoping Mr's most recent interview (today) was success, it'd be a good bit of news for us. Have been in very bad way, body & head both choosing same time to mess me about! doesn't help having to fight to get help i need. Have joined campaign online for rare conditions to get help from where's best, not from where local CCG say. Pain clinic next week, travel will not do me favours but what they give outweigh extra pain, hoping they will have advice for things feeling so ill and getting right help. Psychologist really helped as can now tell myself it's not my fault and believe it finally, have down days but know it could be worse, I'm annonymous a lot but happy as possible. Its been impossible to comment as didn't want to bring you all down with me by explanation of my MIA!
Billy doing well. He's getting back to speed merchant he was, dropping a few ounces at a time of the weight he put on. Age and injury does none of us favours! He sends wags and woofs to all his fan club and to all crafty pets with special woof woof to Lynda.

That's about limit of me and screen. extra big hugs to Pam, June, Maria, Myra, Lynda, P, Fluffycat Frances, Bejay, Alison, Nanna Tina, Princess Yvonne Pixie I, Laine, Tracy, Pat L and Sarah, Lorraine F, Theresa W, Marg and Norah... Plus anyone I forgot. I can't promise my next visit but know I think of you all and big hugs to Wilsonettes all over the world.

Hi Sue and everyone

Lovely card. Love the blush, but sorry not keen on the black chyrsthanemums as they remind me too much of spiders!!!! Irrational I know, but I can't help it. Have been known to wake up and panic that my hair on the pillow is a spider.

Like many, I have seen the sneak peeks of the new die release. They look wonderful, but will be even better once we see them come to life from the designer herself.

Pam, have a wonderful birthday and time away. You will definitely be missed. X

To Diane and Elaine, I too am a Yorkshire lass. You can probably tell from how I often miss out the word ''the' in my posts. I completely understand how ey up has different meanings depending on context. I am guilty of using ' oh eye' a lot, especially If I either agree a lot or if I don't believe what's been said. There are also subtle differences in the phrases and accents from North, South, and West Yorkshire.

Hi Sue,

Beautiful card! I love the Cascading Butterfly die set that why I ordered it a few days ago.The Chrysanthemum Die is beautiful also but I wouldn’t make black flowers. I am planning what to order from your new collection.

Pam – Happy B-day! Wherever you are whatever you do, be happy! Enjoy this mini vacation!
Myra - Frank Sinatra’s song.
Laine – What friends? You cannot lose what you don’t have, right? You really need that Caci facial ... even I am not sure that it will do any good. The damaged was done long time ago, so don’t blame me ( an innocent person who had the heart to invite you here) for your disappointments. I hope you feel better tomorrow after that facial. Do you smoke ?

Happy Friday everyone,,
Still a newbie to Craft / Not longer the newest and the only Canadian Wilsonette
