Beautiful card Sue, so lovely.
Some lovely stories about Mothers Day, so glad everyone enjoyed their day?
Dragonsnap, poor little India, hope she feels more comfortable soon.
Carmen, hope your cold clears up soon. Be kind with your character oownton for me.
Myra, take care if the voice, and if you think I believe you don't say anything ........
I've seen 2 sites advertising Sues new collection but no pics as yet, I will just have to wait
The twins were pretty good at the weekend although at 13 they spend much of their time in their rooms on the 3rd floor, hence the bell.
June you are a veritable hive of activity, wish I had half your energy.
Thinking of Crewe Trish and Helen, worrying times fir their families.
Hugs to Elaine, hope the tests show Andrew can continue his treatment.
Hugs to all especially our missing friends, Tina, Tina, Wheekey, Maureen, Norah, and everyone .

Morning. I loved this sample when it was first showing these new dies, and remember thinking 'how clever' clever because the way you highlighted the welcome mat made it look amazingly 3D and so welcoming. I've not had the chance to play with my dies as yet due to my new role as nurse, but now things are looking better and now have time to re-stock my market baskets I can now draw inspiration from the best.
Hope your day is a good one. Sending hugs as usual ☺ xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I am so pleased you have put this video on here today, got a new home card to make and you have inspired me, thank you so much, the dies used really are lovely.

Pam I am jumping on the band wagon with all your comments, but not sure about the energy levels, I have to sit and rest every so often. The new PC is all set up and working well which I am really pleased with, if anyone wants some help about theirs I would be happy to try and help them.

Elaine, hope all goes well with Andrew's results today, fingers and toes crossed.

Hubby is going to golf today so I am will be in my craft room cutting out, getting ready for tomorrow's craft club.

Looking forward to watching John Lockwood on Hochanda this evening and tomorrow, he is demoing Sue's Atlantic collection of dies and the stamps to go with them.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

I feel so much for my lovely DIL Helen ,her Mum was rushed into Hospital yesterday she has Alzheimer's and has been deteriorating fast , she now has a very bad chest infection . ,The Hospital Dr phoned Helen last night to say it is not good and if her Mum does not respond to treatment it would be cruel to resuscitate , on top of that Helen has been advised not to visit because of Andrew being on Chemo as they would not like her to pass on an infection to him .
Eee it is so sad i do feel for Helen i really do.

Hello Sue and Craftynettes,

This is so much fun! Like Jackie Trinder, I have these dies on order and also can't wait for them to arrive.
I never would have guessed the secret of the Atlantic Ocean background, and I was mystified about how you got a giraffe pattern for the stone front of the posh house. A crackle mask! So clever! And thanks for teaching the colors that might look like stones.

Such great news about Andrew accompanied by such sad news for Helen. So much for one family. I hope this is building a long stretch of uneventful peace and well-being soon.

P in Wales and Laine, this could easily be a ginger cat! You have the technology to make him a cat of any color!

Turns out, I wasn't able to fit the striped nasturtiums with all the other flowers, so I'll do another batch of those, the orange blossom outlines and the rest of the cape daisies. Then maybe I can build up a supply of flowers, but I bet I use them up faster than I can make them.

These hints about sneak peeks at the April launch are tantalizing. How can we wait?!?!

Echoing Pam.
Love,
Donita

Hi Sue, love this card and I have all the ingredients except the mask but I do have some stone-looking paper that will do as a substitute. There is so much detail in these three sets it is hard to decide what to actually use, love them all.

PP - both! I did some gardening and wore myself out so recuperated by going over some of Sue's videos for reminders/inspiration :-)
Laine - I do hope you have managed to find Ginger Boy's family. I know exactly how you feel about the will I/should I feed him. You don't want them to be hungry but at the same time don't want to encourage them.
Sandra - the cat flap is in the back door, kitty is just being lazy!
Elaine - pleased that it is a 'go' for Andrew but so sorry for DIL Helen, no-one deserves all that she has been going through. Thinking of you all.

Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Fabulous card sample and very enjoyable video.....the instructions for creating the mock stonework was particularly informative, loved the inking technique and embossing with the mask beforehand, really inspired. Who would have thought that the Atlantic Ocean Background would prove so useful? As always, i love the cute pussy, like Sandra pointed out he is obviously in need of a cat flap however if he's anything like my two he will scratch the door instead!:-) Thanks again Sue for the wonderful sample of your geniusxxx
A disappointingly duller day today, we had our little Ginger Boy on our doorstep this morning again, had to shut all the windows because he sneaked in and ate some biscuits and cat food....Brodie was pacing the house from room to room hissing and growling as he went so encouraging our visitor is a strict no no unfortunately:-( We called CP and left a message as well as the local vet but no joy thus far....Mum thinks he might just be an opportunist but he's incredibly dirty and I'm not so sure......
Mum had a visit to the GP for her blood results, she was told that she was borderline diabetic and that she had to cut out sugary snacks and cakes from her diet and reduce carbohydrates, she has to lose a stone in the process.....this has went down like a lead balloon because she has a full set of sweet teeth I'm afraid, however we've not had such a full fruit bowl for years!
Elaine, great news for Andrew however my heart goes out to Helen who must be in bits at the moment, i really hope that her Mum pulls through though it has to be said that Alzheimer's is a dreadful illness for any family to live with, hugs to you allxxx
Sharon, nice to see you back with us, hope you are well recuperated now.
Frances, yeah, its a real dilemma, to feed or not to feed that is the question! If he isnt a stray we could be making a rod for our own backs and leaving our two unhappy about the interloper.....
Myra, I don't need Saba or Maureen to confirm that you're a chatterbox.....i can feel the hot air emanating from your comments on a daily basis:-) Hope the throat heals in time for your getaway though, it would be a much quieter affair with you on silent:-)
Thought that I'd better comment earlier today because I'm having a bitchfest with Yvonne later and you all know just how exhausting a conversation with Madam is:-)
Super excited about the new die release, can't wait to see what Sue has in store for us.......my Mum and bank manager aren't quite so ecstatic:-)
Sending hugs to all my besties including P, Pam,Pat, Saba, Maria,Wheely, Tracy, June, Donita, Carmen, the two Tina's, Yvonne i suppose, Maureen and many morexxx

Hello Sue,
I have just watched the video! Such super top tips! I do like how you got texture into the door and love the fanlight too! I'm impressed with the door knob too as I used a gold brad when I tried it. Good to have options! Thank you! As for the stone work - it was inspired - love that and the colours used just perfect. Love the door mat and its shape too. Ohhh I loved it all! Thank you!
I won't say much today and give my voice a rest!!!
However - great news about Andrew but sad news about Helen's Mum. What a dilemma for her. Thinking of you all.
Laine , Pam - I do like a good chat with friends! I've admitted it!
Sue - I just had to make a similar card to yesterday's as I loved it so much. It's nothing like yours really but I did use the Atlantic Ocean background Die but with raspberry card.
Ironing needs to be done before any more play!
Be good , all of you!

Hi Sue,

Lovely card which could be used for so many occasions. Great video. There's always something to learn from you. Thanks for sharing.

Pam - I hope you’ll be please with my choice. If not, please accept my apologies.
Myra - You put me on the spot with that question. I will answer, even I didn’t watch the whole show. I will say Mrs. Hughes. She is sensible, dependable, kind, generous, always look for the right thing to do or to say. She is wise but still open to fun! A lot of people look up to her. Did I pass the test?
Elaine – So pleased Andrew has good news. Sorry to hear about Helen’s mom. Poor Helen. Hope her mom will improve and come home where Helen can visit her.
Laine – Thank you for showing some understanding and for all your good wishes. Wasn't that hard being human, right?
PP/Yvonne – I am not greedy just lucky. But I am willing to share the chocolate with you.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I feel a little bit better today.

Take care everyone,

Cheers,

Tooth Fairy Jo said...

Hello Sue,
What a delightful card. The posh door being the star of the show of course but it's all your little touches which made this card stand out. The faux stone wall in the background, your topiary trees with that added touch of glossy plant pots, leaves hanging down from a tree just off camera and the little kitty cat just waiting for someone to let him in. It's a joy to look at.

Elaine I am thrilled Andrew's immune system has improved so that the treatment can go ahead, such a relief for you, but I am so sad for Helen, poor girl must be at her wits end. Can I ask if you are a Yorkshire lass, your "Eee" just made me wonder.
Diane jolly well done guessing the door handle, I hadn't a clue where the Atlantic background was going to come into the card.
Yvonne, having met Maureen you will realise she likes her little jokes! Myra shy and retiring? Pull the other one!
Laine, your poor mum having to cut out sweets, hope you are letting her have the occasional one though, man cannot live by fruit alone! Or was that bread? Seems like Ginger can cope with being hissed at by Brodie, he's obviously a brave boy. Enjoy your bitchfest but don't be mean to Yvonne, she's not been well.
Crewe Trish, hope Tony will let you help him through what is a very difficult time for you all.
Carmen, I haven't seen the programme but your description of Mrs Hughes sound like it would fit Pam to a T.
Love and hugs for all

Hi Sue
I love this. As many Wilsonettes have pointed out it could be used for so many different occasions and would be a delight to make and receive x
Looks a lot like my front door so yes incredibly posh - like me!! Stop laughing x
Not had a chance to watch the video yet. Saving that for when I have a bit more time. Bit of a busy week which always seems to be the case in the week before my holiday x
Another sunny, perfect drying day. A bit of sitting in the garden with a cuppa - it was lovely. Hoping for much the same in the Isle of Wight next week x
Much laughter caused by the boys this evening. I thought George was being attacked by something extremely large and ferocious - the noise he was making. He was actually running away from a bumble bee. That was funny enough but when Jake and I decided to take the mick he did his utmost to justify his wimp like actions. They like to think they're big and tough but when it comes to the crunch x
Had to speak to Laine this evening. (Someone has to)! There was much excited chatter regarding the upcoming launch. The anticipation is giving me palpitations. I am a little concerned that I will miss it as last year I struggled to get internet connection when I was on holiday. Time will tell x
Elaine - great news about Andrew. My heart goes out to Helen. Big hugs to you all x
Fluffy - the best of both worlds - a bit of both x
Carmen - hold that thought - Laine being human x
Saba - I knew when Maureen was winding me - it was every time her lips moved x
OK folks. Time for some beauty sleep and let's face it I need - thought I would say it before anyone else x
Sending happy thoughts and lots of love to everyone especially my lovely blog besties x

Very elegant card today. I bought all these dies when they were released and have found them so useful already. As far as I'm concerned the only thing missing is a small dog as many of my friends are into dogs rather than cats but the cat is useful too. At first look the door doesn't look that versatile but believe me it is and you can make so many cards with that and the accessories.
Elaine, big hugs to you and yours. Your DIL has so much to worry about. I hope everything works out ok.
Pam, reiterating your comments as you always put it so well.
India is starting to feel a little better. Lola couldn't have her first lot of jabs today because of her chicken pox so they are delayed a week but only as a precaution. Not surprisingly with everything going on my daughter has another chest infection and two more weeks of antibiotics. Her immune system has never been great and she is so tired. There's a limit to how much we can help because she's breastfeeding but now the days are getting longer and warmer I think we'll soon be on the up.

Crafty hugs to all in need and hope everyone stays safe, happy and healthy.
D xx

One can always make it more personal to the recipient, by adding their door number, or name of house. Then adding a dog instead of a cat.

So many ideas ne can use.
