Just A Note

Hi bloggers!  Another sunny custard card for you today!  I selected the Swiss Background and cut the centre two decorative dies out of a piece of coconut white card,  I backed it with custard card to show through the decorative cut out areas. Next I cut a multi layered frame out of the Scalloped Lattice Frames Set B using both coconut white and custard card. I added mounting foam to the back of the frame to raise them. I cut four of the Centaurus Gemini dies out of coconut white card and added them to the foam on the frames so they were coming out from under the edge of the frame, but only just touching the decorative area of the background below.  I stamped my sentiment and added it to the centre with a touch of Lemon Meringue Colour Cloud to the edge.  I cut three Exquisite Poppies out of custard card and seated them in opposite corners.  The larger flower was seated on white tulle and a white satin ribbon bow.  White and custard mats were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Lovely card Sue. So beautiful and I love it.
Great news about Mr P, now we just need our Elaine to give us some great news about Andrew and John, that will be a day to celebrate.
Laine, lovely pampering day but I was slightly put off the facial by Sabas input, yuk.
Patricia, Hazel, Jess and Norah, aka the Scittish Ckan, so glad you all had a great meet up, hope you found Norah well and fully recovered.
June Horrocks, I agree your daughter did an amazing job for such a long time, you have every right to be proud.
June, how did the training go, I not IT minded I'm afraid, I get by but that's about all.
Dragonsnap, happy news about Lola, your grandchildren all have beautiful names. Hope Lola escapes the chicken pox, poor baby
Crafty Jo, don't worry about being in the minority, it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing all Of the time.
I'm twin sitting this weekend at their house because of their dog so that Kelly and Bryan can have a weekend away, should be fun.
Hugs and best wishes to all especially our missing and poorly friends.
Yvonne,so glad Jake was safe.
Myra, so sad that a child is so badly behaved that she is banned from after school club, what are her parents thinking of, does not bode well for her future without some parental guidance .
Full of admiration for the way London has resumed some kind of normality and also our security forces, police and all medical personnel. They do not have an easy time of it especially at disasters us times like this.

Morning Sue. What a bright, sunny (but frosty freezing cold one it is outside) but a beautiful bright sunny happy warm morning it is with this gorgeous spring like sample here in your ever inspirational craft blog. It's one that I can imagin bringing a smile to your face when you stand back to admire the end result. Should there be an occasion where you think a friend of yours needs loving friendly thoughts from you, and you decide to send a copy of this to them it would also put a smile on their face, and sunshine back into their world. It's absolutely beautiful. Thank you for showing us how, and thank you for warming up my morning and bringing sunshine to my world with this happy true Sue card 😊🌞
Sending hugs for the day. Hope you have an enjoyable one xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a beautiful card today, we could do with some sunny weather now after lots of rain for a few days, the custard is just right for this and the sentiment with the colour cloud just enhancing the outside really does make it pop. You have done it yet again Sue.

Pam I agree with everything you have said today, I feel so proud to be British.

Well the chap who was supposed to transfer my emails (.pst files) didn't have a clue, I had to take my old and new PC's into the shop and after me directing him through certain things and him calling up a man who did know, we (yes we) managed to transfer everything over. All sorted now. I just have to down load my special programmes like 'serif' and stuff like that, I will be busy with that this week end. Today I am off to another craft workshop just for the morning so looking forward to that.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Morning Sue,
A very pretty, bright, sunny card today and I need cheering up today, after some sad news that I had yesterday. I must admit that I do love pretty cards and as I struggle with the male side of the family and friends, I decided to make one card or more a week for them. I have now got almost enough cards to cover the birthdays of the men in my life for the rest of this year, so I can sit back, breathe and enjoy making pretty cards to my hearts content.

Beautiful card, Sue, loving custard again and of course the poppies.
Pam, enjoy your weekend - sounds great. Echoing as usual.
Thanks for Mr P comments everyone, still smiling! Wishing so much the same for Andrew in due course. It's a long road.
Laine, never had a facial, Caci or otherwise, and Saba's put me off for good now! Should have said in answer to your question, no favourites but some are so much in your face that they think they are. Hope B & D are friends now and have called a truce? Vet's again today, a champion week - will be five visits - (well 7 with 2 collections) - inc tomorrow and workhouse beckons. Have a temp new boy in, called him Cloud as he is the colour of a dark grey stormy sky. His face is as wide as the Cheshire cat's - unmistakably chock full of testosterone. He's in for the chop and treatment for injuries caused by fighting. Hopefully will return to his stomping ground as he has someone who feeds and looks out for him - otherwise.......??? Now do we need another semi-feral, must work on Mr P whilst we're on an upper ha ha.
Bejay - hope you had a really good birthday, sorry for late wishes.
Hugs all round.

Wow, what a lovely sunny card today. I love it. Very spring like. I love this time of year - looking forward to the warmer weather, etc. Our huge magnolia tree is almost in full bloom already and it's magnificent.

It's great to see that London is trying to carry on as normal. They won't beat us. As you say Pam, our emergency services don't have an easy time of it and the media doesn't always help. My OH and I were disgusted at some of the reports on tv.

Hi Sue, a very soft and gentle card today. Yes, it is busy but somehow it works. I have said before that I love the custard card and it is so useful, if asked for a card but given no information on colour the custard comes out! It also goes so well with browns/bronzes if making a card for a man.

Pam - enjoy your twin sitting, I'm sure you will all have a lovely time.
'P' - Cloud sounds gorgeous and I am sure you could squeeze him in somewhere. I don't envy you all those trips to the vets though or the bills, do you have charitable status? :-)

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Wonderful card, a true Sue classic. The custard card is one of my favourite shades, its so fresh and is so appropriate for this season of the year. The Swiss collection is one of my favourites, the background is enchanting and provides the perfect base for a stunning card, and adding the Centaurus die has elevated it even further. Lovely to see the poppies again, they provide the perfect finishing touch. This beautiful card reminds me that i really need to get the Scallopped Frames/Background as soon as possible because it offers such versatility and creates a stunning frame to enhance your other dies. Many thanks for a glorious sample Suexxx
I'm a little late commenting, had a lengthy, draining conversation with Yvonne earlier and really feel a desperate need for a Valium and a lie down:-) However, after seeing what a wonderful sample Sue had for us today i made an extra special effort to show my appreciation regardless of my ordeal:-)
Saba, you gave me my biggest laugh of the day when you told us what Caci means in German...it hasn't put me offf having another facial but i will never be able to look at it in the same light again:-)
P, you are a total gem of a person, everything you do for the cats in your area is worthy of a medal, i am so impressed:-) Cloud is a lovely name and I am sure Mr P will welcome him into your household if need be. My eyes water at the thought of your vets bill...i have to take our two next week for their annual boosters and that can prove expensive enough so i dread to think what you have to contend with. I forgot to say how inspirational Mr P's battle with his health has been, I'm sure many people will take great hope and comfort from his courageous battle. Sending my love to both of you.
Maria, hope your eyes are showing some signs of improvement and you're not in too much discomfort with your shoulder. Yes, Carmen and Yvonne are obviously getting along fabulously...at my expense! Thanks for asking about my Mums nether regions, she is still a bit tender and finding sitting uncomfortable however darcey and Brodie are showing no signs of guilt or contrition....though apart from a few hisses and growls from Darcey, they havent had another altercation thankfully:-)
June, hope you enjoyed your craft class. Good luck with transferring your files, it can be a laborious task, i don't envy you.
Elaine, we've had very nice weather here the past couple of days, i hope the sun shines on Andrew and Helen at the caravan and he gets the chance to get out his tackle:-)
Pat, poor Sarah has so much to contend with but she does it with so much courage, i wish her well with her review next monthxxx
Pam, enjoy your time with the twinsxxx
Hugs to all my besties on the blog, wishing you all a happy weekendxxx

Crafty love and hugs

Hello Sue,
I'm very late as I've lost my voice - stop cheering Saba and Patricia! - and I was afraid you wouldn't be able to hear me! So listen carefully!
I'm not really daft Sue ! You know that!
I love today's card as it is so Springlike and cheerful! I do like every the custard card . It's such a fitting card for today as it's been lovely here. Hope it's been nice where you are! How do you manage to produce beautiful cards day after day! I don't know but you do and I'm very grateful. Thank you.
Pat L - thank you for the news about Sarah! I'm glad she got a sparkly hearing aid as I know she likes a bit of sparkle - don't we all. I do hope this helps her and we'll be thinking of her in April. You too and all the family. I will tell Maureen, I promise!
Pam - it's so sad when a child has to be excluded because of disruptive behaviour. This never happened years ago - why is it happening now! ? I think we know the answer. She has been excluded before but doesn't seem to learn from the experience. She is good at craft too which makes it worse! Have a lovely time with the twins and the dog! I'm sure you will! X
I echo all Pam's thoughts as ever!
Andrew and Helen - have a great weekend and catch a few fish!
Love to all , Myra xxx

Hi Sue,

This is a sunny card indeed! It is exactly what I needed it so see on a Friday! It puts a smile on my face! These warm colors made me feel better (here the sky is a sad dark grey, really depressing). This card looks so delicate and elegant. The sentiment is just right for a surprise card for a friend that you missed or for somebody who needs a little bit of attention, admiration or love. It is a nice way to let somebody know that you are still there for she/he.

Pam – Have fun with the twins. As always you have said it all so well this morning.
‘P’ in Wales – Thank you for sharing the good news about Mr.P. That must have been a hard and scary journey. But I'm so glad he beat it! Both of you are very brave.
Elaine – Hope Andrew and Helen have a good weekend. I like fishing, too.
Saba – Have a safe flight!
Yvonne/PP – I guess you're exhausted after “a lengthy, draining conversation with” Laine. Why put yourself in this situation? You should use your energy for fun and pleasant things instead of listening to her meaningless complaints. You are so kind...
Laine – You must have the 6th sense ...I feel like you read my mind. You wrote everything I wanted to say about the card, but in better English of course. So I had to do it again. Thanks a lot -:)You mentioned the other day about Yvonne and me being bitter .etc. etc ... please remind me who needed a facial yesterday? If you frown less and smile more often you wouldn't need a facial and you’ll have more money for Sue’s dies, my dear .(You don't want to know what Caci means in Romanian :), let's say it is similar with German explanation...).
All the best to your mum. It's tough for her to deal with Darcey and Brodie and you every single day. I would be happy to help with D & B only:)

Have a great weekend everyone,
