Wednesday Weekly Card GIveaway

Hi crafters!  Today's giveaway card is a pretty blush, silver and white anniversary card.  I am quite taken with this colour combo lately.  It really has an elegant, but understated appeal to it I think!  I started by cutting a petticoat for the card using part of the Pictor Tri-Gemini die in white, then blush and then silver.  Each piece was assembled a bit longer than the previous one showing the other colour through the cut out above it.  I added a solid white card mat behind the last one with a strip of adhesive tape at the bottom, which was sprinkled with Iced Snow as an accent.  I added flatback white pearls in the middle of the Petticoat borders as accents.  I used the blush and silver fall away bits to add a decorative edge to the top lip of the card as I liked the nice frame it gave to the card.  For the focal element, I used the Double Pierced Oval Noble dies and cut a mult-layered frame using the blush as a base and then added a smaller silver edge.  I added mounting foam and attached it over my sentiment, which was stamped and embossed with silver shine embossing powder.  I cut several of the Exquisite Poppies out of white card covered with sticky adhesive sheets.  I peeled the backing paper off and dipped the petals into Iced Snow, then assembled them.  I seated the larger flower on white satin ribbon and silver metallic lynx (one of our cool new products!)  I added the smaller three flowers on the opposite side of the frame.  I completed the card with white, blush and silver mats to add balance to the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.  If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this one, just leave me a comment.  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, a beautiful card and I love those colours together, they blend perfectly. I am intrigued by the silver metallic lynx and look forward to seeing more of this. Having spent weeks convincing myself that I don't need anything new for Christmas (I could make cards for at least 20 years with all the stuff I have) I saw your new dies and stamps yesterday and there are already half-a-dozen on the want list and more will probably be added when we see your samples. I see also that JS has the new Foundation Pearl card in stock which looks a must-have for Christmas and all those special occasions.

Nanna Tina, so lovely to read that you have Mick back home with you after such a long time in hospital. Warmest wishes to you both.
Take care everyone.

Hi Sue,
I can't believe that I missed this post yesterday! What a stunning card, the colours you've chosen are beautiful and the oval die-cuts look like they could be sating ribbon!
Whoever is lucky enough to win this is going to be thrilled when it arrives :)

I'm totally upside down this week and have lost track of the days. My sister came to stay on Monday, arriving around 8:30pm in a rain storm (I told her she should have come last week as it was really hot and sunny). On Tuesday she helped me to lay the new vinyl flooring in the kitchen. I've had it laying in the hall for a few weeks now as I was too scared to try and lay it on my own, so I was delighted when she said I was to leave it until she came over from Lincolnshire. I must be a really sad person as I can't imagine anyone would be as excited as I was once it was all finished (apart from running some sealant around the edges). I've been here for just over 5 years and I inherited the most disgusting flooring possible and couldn't work out why the council had left it down when the put the new units in. Then I had a flood and the flooring finally decided to fall apart so I've been living with a bare, concrete kitchen floor for a few months while I saved up for the new flooring. I feel like Christmas has come early for me...next job...order new carpet - which I'll have to lay by myself but should be MUCH easier than the kitchen was.
Sue, I'm in love with your new Christmas dies and stamps and know which ones are going onto my Sue WIlson Wish List lol.

Hi Sue

I'm late with this one so please don't include me in the draw. Just wanted to say how stunning this is. Would make a super wedding card too.

Further comment on Thursdays post.

Hugs, T x
