Framed and Adorned

Hi bloggers!  Another way to use the adornment dies in today's video.  They look great when used on the inside of frames, don't you think!

The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.    All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, well they certainly do look nice adorned as a frame edging, and the pierced dies create the most wonderful frames, I think I can honestly say that the pierced squares are my most used dies ever, they are amazing.

Will watch video when hubby gets up.

Good morning Sue,
Really effective use of the adornment dies behind the frame and I love the colours.
I've had to conceed and put all my dies into storage folders now onto magnetic sheets.
I've noticed that numbers have dwindled too - shame.....
I love the surprise when you open the blog everyday and it only takes a minute to leave a nice comment.

Beautifully elegant card today, Sue, and an excellent video as always. Thank you. Used the square pierced nobles yesterday, combined with others, to make a huge embossed frame and it was fab (excuse lack of modesty), it's all in the dies! Wouldn't be without the noble range. Burning house, saving, comes to mind. After the cats, of course!!
Re yesterday's card, also bought the lattice window die (well, do have two wedding cards coming up!) and also looked at Becky's site - lovely to see you featured so hope will lead to newbies commenting! Also it's an interesting site so double whammy.
Tracy - so sorry you're having a tough time just gotta hang on in there, it'll get better. Hope soon.
Hugs to all, poorly or just needing one.

Ever wonder how many miles of tape you've used? Thankfully (appropriate it's the week of Thanksgiving holiday), hubby was able to reattach it for me...I'm praying it holds up through the holidays.

Good evening Sue and the fabulous Wilsonettes,

Your cards of late have been utterly breathtaking and today's example is no exception. I am lusting after the newer dies in a major way, so much so that I am sorely tempted to put Christmas off for this year and spend all that cash on dies instead...common sense has prevailed thus far but for how long who can tell! I would ask you to do less enticing examples Sue but that would be like asking the sun not to set, a complete non starter:-) I love today's card, I really need the pierced squares and the scalloped trellis adornment elevates this card way beyond the ordinary- I really like the French navy card, it's a softer alternative to the black.
I'm watching John on Hochanda selling a multi buy of some of the dies you have recently used and I am sorely tempted because of the easy pay-I have just bought the Platinum and a Bose sound system for my Mums Christmas on easy pay so I have to be careful not to over extend myself otherwise it'll be a visit to a food bank for Christmas rather than the usual turkey I'm afraid. Patience is a virtue that I clearly don't possess, I want like yesterday so I will have to suppress my inner child and embrace my cool, sensible adult head instead:-(
Had an interesting afternoon having my face mapped with ultra violet light to highlight the sun damage, ageing process and overall skin quality. I had fears for the worst since I abused sunbeds for ten years...hence the skin cancer...and being 43, you expect the ravages of time to show. The verdict was surprising, I had below average fine lines, little sun damage , normal pores and a little dryness, but my Mums image looked like a death mask:-) She is 71 though, but she only uses carex soap and water on her face and doesn't use an SPF so her sun damage was off the scale, it's a lesson to us all and she has vowed to change her ways. I have bought her high end products for years trying to get her to use them but she says she doesn't have the time-she finds the time to smoke 20+ ciggies a day though!?!?
Getting my stitches out tomorrow, not looking forward to it though since the infection still hasn't cleared- I've got a high pain threshold but I fear it's going to be rather uncomfortable:-(
On a positive note though, I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better Tracy, your fighting spirit is a lesson to us all, keep positive honey!
Lorraine F, wish I could make you feel better too, I'll health can be a strain mentally as well as physically- I find it helpful to focus on what I can do rather than what I find difficult, plus there is always someone having to contend with more hardship sadly and it makes me grateful for what I have.
Beth, I do hope that you're ok, it's not like you to go so long without commenting. Sending hugsxxxx
Hugs to anyone suffering physically or mentally at the moment, special hugs to Yvonne, Wheely Bad, Rebecca, Jan, Theresa , Maria, TOB, melody and little Mollyxxx

Hello, beautiful card Sue as always. I absolutely love your cards but as you know in Canada and in the US, we tend to make smaller cards. I had previously bought the Madison dies of the New York collection only to find out that they are too large for our smaller cards. I was so excited to find out that there were smaller dies coming out in November. I have spent the last two days trying to figure out which of the dies I could use on a 6 X 6 which is what I usually make. Even though some of the new dies are called Petite and Mini, they are still large, a mini striplet for example is 5 1/4 inches on a 6 inch card, it would use up the whole card front. Will you be doing smaller dies that can be used on 6 x 6 inch card fronts or on 4 x 5.5 inch card fronts or will we forever be cutting the dies down to size? I'm just wondering if there will be something more proportionate for the smaller cards coming out in the future? I hate to think that I would have to purchase the dies and cut them all back to suite my smaller cards, I'd be paying for part of the dies I couldn't use. I just totaled the amount for one of your cards and for me to do "Shaped Background Technique" it would cost me $138 in dies and embossing folder, 10% surcharge being charged to Canadian because of our low dollar and shipping. A lot of money when you think of it in those terms. Shall I wait for more mini or petite dies or find something else. Don't get me wrong Sue I love the cards you make and I love your videos but if I can't use all of the die, I can't justify the cost. If I choose to go to the larger card size, how are they made, do they have a hinge on top and how do you get envelopes that size?

Hi Sue,
Beautiful elegant card, love the embossing folder and the new dies and the sentiment you used is one of my favourite.

Lovely card. Though I don't often use black on my cards, navy and white is one of my favourite colour combinations.
Take care everyone.

I didn't get to comment yesterday as my car is broken! I still wanted to say how beautiful this card is. I like the way you have done the extra layering and used the embossing folder. I had to go back and read you directions as the embossed images from the embossing folder are so striking and crisp! Thank you again!
