Thank you

Good Sunday morning all!  I started with the background of this card first and embossed a piece of silver card using the Bed Of Roses embossing folder.  Once embossed, I paper grouted it with Polar White Sparkle Texture paste and allowed it to dry.  The texture paste fills in the lines on the pattern and adds a bit of shine and sparkle to the background.  Next I cut four Canadian Borders out of coconut white card and put two of them together on each side, slightly overlapping the swirls and glued them to each side of the background edge.  I added some white flat back pearls as accents.  For the focal element, I cut the Montreal die out of white and backed it with another piece of white card, then cut the centre out to create a frame.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached it the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre die in the Canadian tag set.  I cut the entire tag to seat it on and glued it across the Montreal.  I glossed two pieces of Trailing Ivy by coating it with Cosmic Lacquer and allowed them to dry.  I attached them in opposite directions from the sentiment and glued a few silver Peony flowers to it.  I added a pretty pierced base layer, a thin silver mat and then just a final white mat to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  9" in size.

The winners of this week's Comment game are:

Denise T!!!
Pharmacy Michelle!!!
Sandy (tort)!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue

This is a very pretty card. I have tried the paper grouting technique but wonder if I am too critical of myself as I expected to get a 'clean' finish but always get a slight sheen on the background. Perhaps it is impossible to not have the sparkle paste on the rest of the card.

Love
Roz.x

GM Sue. Lovely card that reminds me to get that sparkle paste out and try grouting! Love the look. Congrats to winners and happy Sunday.

Hi Sue. "Thank you" for sharing another of your wonderful creations with us, especially love the paper grouting. Hope that you enjoyed Halloween, I know it's a much bigger deal in the USA than here.
Congratulations to all the winners this week.
Molly - it's wonderful that you're commenting again, we've missed you. What an amazing thing to ask for for your birthday, most people your age would have taken the money and just spent it, but you'll have something which could grow in value - as someone else said, Ideal World was sold for millions!
Back to school tomorrow - where did this week go? Hugs to all. Sue XXX

Sunday smiles to you Sue. I need the Canadian border, seems a little adoption is on the cards when my craft shop opens Tuesday (why she has to have a long weekend beat's me) and why do I always see something I don't have and need over the weekend, that extra day of waiting is torture lol !
The ' Thank You' sentiment comes back to you Sue. Thank you for so much, the list is endless as it is for many of us. So just 'thank you' for being you.
I can still feel the soft warm clear peachy skin of my new tiny grand-daughter snuggling against my neck as they do at that age. I can still feel her gentle warm new breath against my face, and i can still hear those kitten like calls as she ask's her mummy to be fed, my Saturday was the most magical day, and nothing will ever come close (Tina E - I can't wait for you to feel how I felt yesterday )

Well, I'd better make some time for Christmas cards today before it all gets too overwhelming to cope with !! Hope you are getting organized for your craft fair Jane F, although it can be frightening to see how much needs organizing and preparing, a list maybe useful plus a list of what little things you also need such as scissors, any pre-stamped sentiments, glue, foam tape etc, something you need to do with a clear mind, as once you're at your tablet that's it, so think of your craft fair table as your 'work table' minus any crafty mess well all love to have lol.
I'm done.
Whatever your plans for the day Sue, hope it's a goodun.

Good morning Sue, this is a lovely card, one that could be adapted for many occasions. I have tried the grouting technique once but wasn't very sure about it, need to try again, perhaps I will like the white effect better - I tried silver on white last time and it was very messy.
Hope you are having a good weekend x

Morning sue and crafters.

Lovycard this morning thought these were new dies as I couldn't remember which ones these were just as well u give us the run down lol
How on earth do u remember all your own dies sue there's so many now!! Lol
Speaking of which one jumped into my hand yesterday when I popped into the range yesterday it was the last diagonal fold over flower. I couldn't resist.

Anyways yesterday hubby had to come do the shopping as I wasn't allowed to oft anything I only had a few items on the list shouldn't have cost that much maybe £30 at most. But oh no hubby is here (that's why I slwYs go on my own)
After it was tallied up £100 I was raging lol
Then I decided to do the dishes whilst he wS sleeping for night shift. Uh oh bad mistake thought I'd be ok but no hubby was right it was too much. Now I'm sore this morning so I'm not doing ANYThING

Wheely. Try using a cold pack on ur back too Inbetween the heat. I always find the cold works better than the heat.
