Best Wishes

Hello there my crafty friends!  I have a card made with the latest release for you today.  I started by cutting the Tessa die out of coconut white card using just the decorative outer die.  Below that I cut the Window Striplet minus the cutting edges.  Using a piece of peach card, I lined up the Tessa die and situated the inner die from the set to cut into the peach card.  I added mounting foam and layer the two pieces up for a bit of dimension between them.  I stamped my sentiment and placed it to show through from the back.  I actually had a flower laying around that I hadn't used, but had made from the Classic Rose die and felt.  There is a video showing this technique on our Creative Expressions Youtube channel.  I added the flower with some peach and white pastel Bakers Twine as an accent.  Finishing up the card, in my usual pierced and matted manner, the final dimensions are 8" x  8 1/2" in size.

I just thought I would also let you know that I had a really nice surprise recently when a lovely gal named Becky contacted me to say that she had included my blog in an article that she had written about the five best blogs for a Homemade Christmas.  Here is a link to her article if you are interested.   http://www.iconwallstickers.co.uk/blog/Home-Made-Christmas-Blogs    I was delighted to be included in her submission and wanted to share it with you!

Julia Watts has shows today on Hochanda at 11am, 2pm and 5pm with Justrite stamps and dies at some great prices!  Don't forget to tune in!

There are still about half a dozen unclaimed winning dies.  Please be sure to scroll down and check the list of winners that was posted yesterday.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue
Well what can I say - this card is an absolutely outstanding work of art. That might be due to the fact that it makes use of the fabulous Window Striplet which I was lucky enough to win in your draw. I am still in shock. I have to tell you, the smile on my face would not have been bigger if George Clooney decided to pay me a visit and ravish me. That said I would not turn him down - obviously, but I can assure you that he would fail miserably to pleasure me as much as one of your dies. I do hope that explains and puts into perspective just how happy I am to be a winner x
Peach is a colour that I do not use much but whenever I see one of your cards with this colour combo it reminds me just how beautiful it is. Note to self - more peach!
I think I may have to put the Tessa die to the top of my Christmas list so that I can replicate this gorgeous card. However Santa is still unaccounted for so my hopes of receiving reward for my exceptional behaviour during 2015 are to be dashed I fear. If anyone comes across a rather plump but jolly gentleman with a large white beard wearing a red suit, would you mind pointing him in my direction x
LISBETH - Persevere hun - it's usually me scanning for my name in hope - maybe next time x
THERESA - hope your op went well - sending you a (very gentle) hug x
TRACY - how you doing? Sending you love x
MELODY AND MOLLY - lots of love x
JAN - enjoy Disneyworld - let your inner child free x
SABA - I am right there with you on cloud 9. Try not to jump up and down too much - there isn't that much room - we don't want to fall x
LORRAINE F - hang in there girl - sending you a hug x
YVONNE MAY - sorry that was me x
LORRAINE - how you doing hun? Feeling better I hope. I am so on your wavelength about finding a Johnny!!! We can all dream can't we?! Apprentice Appreciation Society has gone on hold. Whilst MIL is coming here on a Wednesday I am too knackered to be the dazzling hostess that my guests have come to expect. We are going to get together at some point before Christmas for fun, frolics and fabulous food and festive cheer. Sounds amazing doesn't it? It will probably involve a 7pm kick off, a few bottles of Schloer, some comfort food and Frozen on DVD so we can all be home and in bed by 9.30. Oh yes - we know how to party x
Off to check out Becky's blog.
Have a lovely evening everyone whatever you are up to.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Ooooh, I love the soft peach tones of this card, very Spring like...and we could all do with a nice reminder of warmer, brighter days at the moment...On the most part, I am super excited about witnessing you weave your own brand of magic with the new dies, but on the down side, I can't afford to buy any until The end of January:-( Nevermind, I'm hardly deprived, I have thirteen Tonic folders full to the brim of your past releases but call me greedy...and you'd be spot on!...I NEED to keep on trend and up to date with your newest ideas and techniques- any ideas girls on how to combat the withdrawal symptoms in a safe and sensible manner that doesn't involve further personal injury or breaking the law to fund my cravings?:-)
In case I haven't conveyed my appreciation of these new dies enough can I just say that this card is exceptional, and features my number one all time fave striplet....you lucky gal Louise...plus the Tessa die is most beautiful. I'll really need to search out that tutorial on the felt rose, it has worryingly passed me by.
Had a gander at the article you mentioned Sue, and all I can say is that you thoroughly deserve the accolade and I hope it brings more new members to our blog family#no.1 blog in the world!
Had a busy day in Stirling getting a new jacket...because I deserve it:-)....for Strictly- it was rather pricey but had 25% off so that eased the pain somewhat. I took some Art Deco cross stitch pictures that I had done for my brothers Christmas to be professionally framed too so it's little wonder I'm skint! I got a 3ft stuffed leopard for my niece that freaked Brodie out no end so we've had to hide it in a box in the shower out of his way- call himself the man of the house, ha!
Yvonne my love, I'm feeling much better thanks, the antibiotics are starting to help and I feel much more bearable to live with, my Mum no longer wants to hung draw and quarter me due to my grouchy ness which is always a bonus:-) I'm getting very excited about seeing Gleb in the flesh but I don't know if I can remember what to do with him, it's been so long since I've had the pleasure of a real mans company other than Brodie...handsome though he is he doesn't really count!...The same could be said of George Clooney if I was lucky enough to bump into him, but I'm with you, I'd much rather get a bucket of Sues dies or win one of her cards, at least I'd know what to do with them!
I'm partial to some Shloer too but I plan to get sozzled at Christmas this year instead- we bought a half price bottle of Champers at M&S today along with some Apple Pie Martini for me and Gin for my Mum. We'll probably be looking for a kebab before collapsing in a heap after a couple of glasses but God loves a trier!
TOB, hope your op went well, you've been waiting so long for it , it must be a relief to finally get it over with. Hugsxxxx
Lorraine F, chin up honey, things will improve, just hang on in there- alcohol is a good pain reliever I find :-)
Wheely, hope you can make some headway on your cards, how's the head, did the pills help this time?
Jan, I'm so jealous, let your inner child reign free girlxx
Hugs to all
