Another Christmas Card

Good Sunday morning all!  Yes it is, in fact, another Christmas card.  I promise to give you a break after this one!  I did a bit of letterpress for the background on this one.  I selected my Quilted Flower embossing folder and using a clear Perfect Medium pad, I inked up one side of it.  I placed my coconut white card in the folder and ran it through the Grand Calibur.  This transfers the ink to the floor of the design in your folder.  I dusted it with gold sparkle mica powder for a delicate look.  I matted the piece with a thin gold and black mat, but then added it to a much wider top and bottom white mat.  On soft gold card, I stamped the new Justrite Christmas Wreath and heat embossed it with gold detail powder for a tonal look.  I used the Decorative Frames from my Italian Collection to cut my shape.  This piece was actually the left over from a previous card where I used the aperture.  I stamped the Vintage Snowflake Labels Seven by Justrite on to white card and heat embossed with gold.  I stamped my sentiment in the centre with a black archival ink pad.  I lined up the matching die over it then taped one side so I was able to hinge it and then covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet. I flipped the die back over and taped it in place to cut out the shape.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Iced Snow.  I cut a second label out of black card and halved it to use as a shadow.  I taped it behind my focal element then added it to my embossed background circle with foam mounting tape.  I tied a messy bow out of white seam binding and seated it on white tulle.  A gold satin rose adorned the centre and I finished it with a couple of fancy stick pins that I made to match.  I added a pierced white mat with a thin black mat before adding a final white mat to my card.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 1/2" in size.

Now for the Sunday Comment Game Winners.  This week's winners are:
Virginia Davey!!!
Doreenj!!!
Muriel Kelly!!!

From the extra qualifying post of June 18th, the winners are:
TDQ Karen!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue and everyone. Fabulous shows yesterday, can't wait for today's treats. Love everything about your card today, iced snow just adds the right amount of sparkle. I've just seen that you and Julia are visiting Northallerton soon - I'm gutted that I'm still at work, if only it had been 2 weeks later I'd have finished for the summer hols! Oh well, one day I hope!

Beautiful card yet again. The thin black mat really does make the design pop. Enjoyed the shows yesterday, but wish we could see more demos,or have two hours back to back, which would allow more time for your fab tips and demos. Will be watching again today.xxx

Morning Sue and Sunday Smiles to all. Thank you for 3 wonderful show's yesterday, and the most stunning samples. This card is one of many I remember and its stunning, isn't that new sparkle mica powder LUSH, that's at the top of my list of C crafting items, its a must, along with that new PVA glue that dries red - how clever.
Unfortunatly I have had to set your show's to record as Im at market trying to sell a few cards to help me buy my C stash, but I hope to be awake to watch your 7pm show. At least, like other lovely Wilsonettes, recording gives me more time to watch and learn instead of having just half hour to pick up tips etc !
I hope that after today's show's you will let yourself rest for a few hour's as I dont know where your stamina comes from !

Well done to all winners today.

Thinking of all my friends that have woken up feeling sad, uncomfortable and down in the dumps. Pam, Julie, xx
Sanda, that poem is truely wonderful and from any mothers heart, thank you.

Enjoy your show's today Sue. And enjoy watching our Sue today my lucky friends.
Love you.

Great card, Sue, love the background and also the unusual layout. The more 'C' inspiration the better!
Saw most of the first two shows (sadly I'm only on Freeview so not the later one) - brilliant, and your samples absolutely superb. Loved it that one of the first cards shown with the big pink bow matched what you were wearing!!
Actually sent an email for the first time - not read out - but pleased to hear lots of our familiar names getting a shout-out.
Looking forward to more today and, Sue, you did look fab!!

Well done to all the winners.

Good morning Sue and all my fellow crafters,
Today's card is a bit fussy for me, you know what I'm like! But I love the colour.
Great shows I managed to catch one and record one! Sue you do such a good job, I'm so glad you are back on our screens.
My son is home with us for a few days, as he normally lives on his own and the hospital thought it would be a good idea for someone to keep an eye on him. He seems fine just very sleepy! Thanks for all the good wishes.
Update on my brother, he is stil hanging on I there! Still at home they have turned the dinning room into a hospital room for him. The Macmillian nurses come in about four times a day, they do such a brilliant Job!
Congratulations to al the winners.
Hugs for all who need one

HI SUE, GREAT SHOW'S YESTERDAY BUT AS PAM MENTIONED YOU DIDN'T GET MUCH TIME TO CRAFT, BUT I GET SO VERY CROSS WHEN THEY RUSH YOU AND WE DONT GET TO SEE MANY DEMO'S I UNDERSTAND THEY HAVE TO GO THROUGH PRODUCTS, ITS A GOOD JOB WE SEE YOUR AMAZING CARDS, AS WE DONT SEE MANY DEMO'S WHICH I HATE! IT'S NOT LIKE YOUR ON CREATE AND CRAFT ON A WEEKLY BASIS LIKE SOME GUESTS I COULD MENTION, OKAY TIME TO COME OFF MY SOAP BOX I KNOW YOU'VE HEARD IT BEFORE FROM ME AND "I'M SO SORRY FOR RAMBLING ON ABOUT IT"
I REALLY HOPE MARTYN WILL DO A BETTER SHOW TODAY AND WE SEE DEMO'S!
Now For Today's Awesome Card I Just Love it and I Love the touch of Black with your Cards it really makes them Pop, I really Love The Quilted Embossing Folder and Gold Sparkle Mica Powder, I'm quite smitten with The New Christmas Wreath Stamp from JustRite, and how you've heat embossed in Gold to give a tone on tone look. It looks Awesome cut out using your Decorative Frames Dies, I Just Love The Vintage Snowflake Labels Seven by JustRite (They always seem to have such Splendid Stamps and Dies to match) finishing of using your Truly Amazing Iced Snow (Which I Just Love) Love The Messy Bow, and The Fabulous Tulle and to finish off with those Fabulous Stick Pins, this is probably not in The Dictionary But this Card is a Wowser of a Card and yesterday The Card you made on the Show with Dave I Just Fell In Love With it.
Sue Thank You For so many thinks the Awesome Blog, The Fabulous Breakdown to help how we try to achieve this Project, The Truly Stunning Photography, and most of All The Daily Inspiration You Bring To Me, Thank You So Very Much.

I managed to see a little of your second show yesterday but could not record the last as I only have freeview. Recorder is set for your first two today you never know I might be able to catch some live!! but the recorder is staying on.
I love today's gift as it doesn't shout C.in your face but still makes a beautiful gift for the season. I bought the C.bells stamps yesterday as I'm saving my pennies for your next launch. So pleased I bought quite a bit of iced snow earlier as I think it's going to be used a lot on my cards this year.
Steph hope you have a good market day.
Well ladies I'm at last packed!!! Still have my knitting bag at my side (with embroidery in it) and that will go into the car with me tomorrow morning for my 05.00 start and despite 'hawkeye's jibes everything has fitted into the car just as it always does!!

Good Sunday Morning Sue & Lovely Blog Friends,
Lovely card today Sue, it's not too much c******as and the design could used for any occasion, love the stick pins as usual!
The shows yesterday were fab, I guess with so many products on the line up it's going to take a while to talk through them all, which is frustrating when we are desperate to see demo's. I will be tuning in today, Martyn is usually pretty good at getting to the demo and keeping his 'banter, to a minimum, he also has just the right amount of humour! Some of the techniques you showed yesterday were brilliant, the effects of two products stood out yesterday, the new Sparkle Mica powders were amazing, just the perfect amount of sparkle, the other was that ' red ' dries clear glue, I was amazed when Sue showed the before and after, it was the colour of Dorothy's Ruby Slippers!
Thanks to all that stopped by my blog yesterday, you seriously made my dad!
Gail, so glad you have your son back in the 'nest' where you can give him all the talc he needs, it doesn't matter how old they get you can't beat a bit of 'mummy love and TLC' to nurse you back to health!
Norah, Mrs Duck, Sam great to hear your names and a few others read out yesterday, I emailed all 3 shows but I guess there were hundreds!
Steph I am pleased you saw the verse yesterday, it made me think of you! It had me crying, but I am a bit of an emotional wreck at times, I cried watching Mamma Mia last week too! Hope you market was a success!
Cameeli, my usual big squeeze for you my lovely friend.
Julie I hope you are feeling a little brighter xx
Hugs to everyone including Myra, Margaret, Lynda, hazel, Janet, well all of you!

Hi Sue. Well as usual a totally gorgeous card for today !! I really love it all. I may be tempted to replace the satin Rose with a spellbinder Poinsettia flower though !! I am loving the Christmas stamps that match the Justrite Labels seven shaped dies. I was not going to buy them as I wanted to save my money for your new dies launch but they are so tempting and so hard to resist !! Would you be able to give us just a general idea when your new dies will be launched ? or is that too cheeky ? I just wondered if they will be fairly soon or several more weeks away yet. Sorry Sue. All this waiting is just awful as I love all your dies so much !! I don't know how you manage to contain all your excitement either !!
Your shows yesterday were just fab but I most definitely agree with Sam Smithard, you need more time to make more demos and we need less talking from the presenters. I thought Dave did a great job and let you "get on with it " !! It is a shame that the others did not do the same.
Well I am watching the late show today but recording all the earlier ones as we have to visit family. I cannot miss any of them !! I can't wait to see you later. Thank you so much for everything you do for us.
Wishing you lots of love and big hugs from Tres x x x
P.S. You looked amazing yesterday, so slim on TV !! I am still hanging on in there with the dieting !! X x x

To Gail C, I hope you are ok. You are going through so much at the moment. Lots of love and special hugs to you love Tres x x x

To Lindsey, Cazzie, and Julie Laz sending lots of love and Best Wishes to you all, love Tres x x x

Hi Sue,
Not many hours between my post for yesterday and today's! Lol.
Beautiful card again today . I love the gold and white and the black as you say just makes it pop! You've got me hooked on black now - never used it before I started following this blog. As I said last night I've only seen two shows so far but the samples were all stunning!
Will be watching this morning's show Live but got family coming for lunch so the others I may have to watch later!
I too sent an email yesterday but so long as you know we are thinking of you that's all that matters. Was great to hear names read out though, that we know!
Hope everyone has a good day. Hope the Shows go well, Sue.
Gail - what a lot of stress you and your family are under. Lovely though that your brother is at home with his family. I know that means a lot . Sending love and praying for you all. x
To all other lovely friends on this blog sending love and if you suffer pain - hope it's a little easier today! x

Good Morning, Sue and fellow Wilsonettes.
Today's card is really pretty and looked lovely on the shows yesterday, as did all the fabulous samples. I too am on Freeview, so couldn't watch the 7pm show live or record it :-(
I watched it later on my MacBook , I plan to watch it again on my iPad so I can get some screenshots of the cards for reference : - )

I had told myself I wouldn't buy anymore Christmas stamps, as I bought nearly all the JustRite sets showcased last year on C&C. My resolve soon disappeared on seeing your fabulous examples Sue. A few more are going to be winging their way to me !!
Love the PVA Sparkle that changes colour and hope to get this too !!

I am recording all of today's shows too to see later.

Best Wishes to all and hugs to Gail C , Julie and all who need them,

Angela in gloriously sunny S. Wales X

Hi Sue

Have been watching the shows and just a quick message before some last minute sewing! The cards and products are lovely and there are a few things on my list- I'm not really a Christmas person and don't make for selling as I can only just manage to do family and friends. I did send a couple of emails yesterday but as I have to be out this afternoon for a couple of hours I won't have a chance to today. It's been lovely having you back on our screens and can't wait for your next appearance!

Hope you get a chance to relax after this weekend- 6 hrs of TV and all that prep, phew!!!!

Crafty hugs

Helloooo Sue and the Wilsonettes! WoW! Stunning card Sue and thank you for the detailed "recipe" (can't think of the word!) on how to make it. Congratulations to all our winners! Wonderful! Enjoy your prizes! Well, can you believe it. My husband went onto C&C to see if they had some more of the gold & silver card. Whoo hoo, there was! He got to the end and pressed the button.....boo hoo! No email to say that the purchase had gone ahead so he went back on C&C and it had all sold out....must have been on the split second of pressing the "yes please" button! Thank you anyway Sue for trying! Fantastic shows Sue! You look wonderful and loving the demo's and the cards you have made! It's been wonderful to hear some of our Wilsonettes emails been read out too xx Can't wait for the next show! Gail, so glad your son is with you. As with your brother, the MacMillan nurses are wonderful. I used to be a pallative care nurse at night and sat with the member of the family who was suffering while the spouse went to bed. Unfortunately, I had to stop as I was diagnosed with breast cancer and while I was going through that I was sent to have a MRI scan because of other symptoms I was going through. It turned out I have the same condition as Joanna on the blog. So I had to hand in my driving licence. I do miss it though. But!!! Fantastic news! My husband has got his sleep apnia in control and is now waiting have his driving licence returned! Whoo hoo! xx Take care all our wonderful Wilsonettes. Love and hugs for all of you who need one today. Like Pam, I have plenty to give xxx xx Love Karen xx

Good afternoon Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
What a lovely card Sue and without the sentiment it could be for any occassion as it is very versatile. The pins that you have made to go with it just finish it off beautifully. I hope that you will be catching your breath back before your next big project starts though.
I think all our Wilsonette family have looked on and sighed at just how lovely you look, please don't go down any more.
Sandy, i think that you must be married to my hubbys twin as he does the same when i try to watch something that is of interest to me, most annoying and eventually i give up as it is not worth the hassle. I recorded the shows because i just know what he is like.
Gail, so glad that your son is staying to recover at home where he has his mum to look after him. Glad to see that the MacMillan Nurses are helping your brother. When my dad was at home, my mum couldn't get help from them as they didn't nurse up here is Scotland any more according to their helpline, they could only advise if you needed anything. When she needed that help the most, no one would help so i am glad that your brother is getting the help he so needs as does your sister in law as it will hopefully give her a wee break even just to get a cuppa or something to eat. Your in my thoughts and prayers Gail and your family, flower.
Oh Lynda, what a wonderful excuse so very worthwhile. I hope the wee one is well and his mum is recovering well. I bet you had a grin from ear to ear for the whole day. Remember you need to put him down so you can eat.hee heehee.
Poor Sapphire Angela, i hope that the vet could help and that the wee thing is not suffering pain from their encounter. Tee tree is a really good antiseptic for bites and things like that.
Well done Ladies on your win today, i know you are going to enjoy them.
My thoughts on the products to be shown instead of the demo's showing what they can do or be used for is why not as the guest is using the products they put them up on screen so that if we want them, we can buy them. If they did that surely we would have the best of both worlds, great demo's and knowing what was used or at the end of the demo, putting up all the products. End of my part in making tv history.
Janet (Ecco)men have no faith in our way of packing and knowing that we can get everything to fit in the car. See leave the packing of the car to us as we know just how everything should be in it. I used to take my knitting when we went on a long journey. I used to be able to knit an Aran for an adult on the way down and back up from Blackpool, bar the sewing up.
This is going to be a 2 parter as got carried away with myself again, ooops

2nd half
Well last night was a good night but i feel like the no.7 bus has run over me and reversed for a 2nd go. We went to that Wotherspoons that opened up in the town, but where did the management put us? At the big tall seats at the bar. Even with the aid of the sticks i still couldn't reach up, it ended up with the bride and her cousin hoisting me up and the wee legs dangling not reaching the foot rest on the chair. I am not quite sure what to make of the attention that i seemed to attract last night as definitely not used to strangers coming up and being sort of in the middle of attention. Crikey the last time i was out on the town was about 14years ago for our wedding anniversary. But it was fun and the various comedians that we came across did make the night go with a swing. One trying to get the bride, cousin, lady in waiting and myself to go to the 21 club what ever that may be. I could just see me with the sticks trying to keep upright never mind dance there with all the youngsters (i don't think so). I left about 11:15 as was absolutely drained and couldn't keep said sticks under control by that time. I had 2 of the tiniest sips of the champagne to wish her well but i was happy with the soda and lime, better on the driving as well. See the sights you see when you don't drink is amazing and so funny. Still trying to recover though today as I am so tired.
Sending gentle hugs to all my fragile friend s for what ever reason or even if you just want one, take and I will see you tomorrow hopefully. From me and my hills I wish you all a great day and hope that hope that the sun is shining for you or from you,
Love and crafty hugs
