You're Amazing

Hi bloggers!  I just love this card for a clean and simple, let the die do all the work sort of card.  The video shows just how easy it is to use the dies without the cutting edges to create a beautiful card.  This card too was shown during the release week blog hop so I have included another card for you today as well.

Buy from Joanna Sheen

 Finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 3/4" in size.

Today's second card is a clean and simple quickie card.  Using the Daisy from the Taylored Expressions Oops A daisy stamp set, I inked it by colouring directly on to the rubber with Tim Holtz distress markers.  I used Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord for the petals and Mustard Seed for the centres.  I inked it with the markers, then spritzed it lightly with water and stamped it.  I stamped it several more times with only a spritz of water in between to achieve the generational stamping look.  I repeated the steps twice to cover a wide strip for my card.  I just love the watercoloured look you get this way.  I stamped my sentiment (from the Creative Expressions Bold sentiment set) in black Archival after drying the piece with a heat tool.  I matted it with a thin black mat and added it to a plain white card background.  If all that open white makes you a bit uncomfortable, just emboss it for a bit of detail!  I finished the card with a double white pierced mat for a real time saver sort of card.  Any sentiment could work here as well!  Finished dimensions are  7 1/2" x 8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue
Two very different cards but each very beautiful, you are the amazing one coming up with so many fabulous ideas to share with us. In the first card the dies are so pretty and always looks amazing however you use them. The second card is simplistic and beautiful, I would emboss the white area. I enjoyed the video thanks for sharing, I had a happy accident the other day when I pierced around the edge of my topper, I had pierced on the wrong side. But because I only had one piece of the particular card I was using I had to use it. I was quite pleased and relieved with how it looked. Hope everyone that wasn't too well yesterday feel a lot better today sending you all a hug.
Hugs x

Thank you for starting my day with a beautiful gift and the invitation to join you in your craftroom.
Your dies are so amazing. They looked good in the launch week but seeing them demonstrated really bring out their beauty.
It would have been too much to add anything else to today's gift as the die is the star of the show.
Today's die must be my next purchase.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue,
What a stunner of a first card - everything, the dies and the colour combo plus the rows of piercing. You make that look so easy but I'm still a bit suspect when it comes to the corners.
The daisies in the second card are gorgeous but I would be tempted to do something with the white space underneath. I guess that's just me not being as confident as you.
Great video - hope more people are now watching it on YouTube (from your blog) instead of on your blog as there are now a few more comments on YouTube.
Ally Pally will be amazing, one of these years I'll be there.
Hugs, Rose

GM Sue - 2 great cards yet again - dont know how you keep on doing it, time after time after time - but very glad you do! Gota assemble the hubby's bday card today - gona use the scribble splodge I did as as the background and then the garden collage as the focal element as he loves gardening - I stamped and embossed it in copper and then mica painted it - looks pretty effective - think he'll love it with some raffia etc.

Will watch video later to get me in the mood to do the above! Looking forward to Saturday.

Hi Sue,
Two very lovely cards today. I really do like the watercolour look of the second card and the colours are gorgeous. Lynne, hope you manage to get some sleep and that you feel better soon. Norah, if it's any consolation, my husband persuaded me to leave my washing out yesterday afternoon while we went out for an hour. There was no rain where we went, BUT when I got home there had been a deluge! Two full loads of washing completely sodden - then he moans when I dry them on the radiators! MEN!!! Really jealous of everyone going to Ally Pally, but I'm sure you will all have a fabulous time.good luck to Jean on your first day. Steph & Norah, hope you are both feeling better. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Sue, i hope you don't mind but i am going to make this card for my friend. I was so lucky the day that our department took on 4 month temps and she walked into the office. From the first we just hit it off and i have been so lucky to have had her in my life for the past 5 years now. She has troubles of her own to contend with but she is like having your husband/wife/partner, you don't need to say anything but she just knows how you feel. She bucks you up when you are down and when i am in full flow for some reason she starts laughing. It has always been just the way that i say it that makes people smile, which i am so happy as a smile can make some poor souls day. I know that the very special people on your blog bring me a sense of warmth and peace each day just because they fit todays cards' saying perfectly. It is such a beautiful card and in the loveliest of colours. The aqua coloured ink is so soft but enhanced by the card behind just perfectly. Thank you Sue for continuing to inspire us with your wonderful creations.
Lindsay, so chuffed that your fantastic daughter passed her exams and i can understand the pride you must have in her achievements.
Good luck Jean with your first new day at work, enjoy the new freedom and making new friends doing something really worthwhile.
Thank you Lynne but we have that smirri kind of yukky stuff at the moment, here's hoping it clears up after. I'm sorry flower that you still are in the midst of an attack, as i know it wouldn't hurt as much hitting your head of a brick wall. My friend had an aneurysm in the brain and it has left her with neuralgia in her face and head. She never goes out without a hat(her's is a granny turban)on, but i am knitting her a infinity scarf in mohair so that it will be light enough to go around her neck and over her head and not destroy her hair do like the turban does. Hope that your fur babies give you the comfort and love but settle down to give you peace as well, take care.
Alison, i thought they had broken the mold that my husband came from, but i see not as you have his twin brother and yes he moans about the airers as well.
June, have a lovely time today and giggle at things from the past. Laughing uses i can't remember if it is less or more muscles, but it does you the power of good.
Tina, i've heard of first up best dressed but first up gets the seat is a new one on me. They should leave it with you until they sort it out. Yes it would be sat on, and therefore used, but they can't expect you to have nothing to sit on.
Thank you everyone for your continuing cyber hugs and messages of thinking of me as i really do appreciate every single one of them. Like Tres, Steph, Tina, Lynne and others it is just an ongoing thing that is here to stay unfortunately, but we will keep going wont we girls. I too wish i was going to AP but i hope that all our special friends enjoy their time at the show.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Good morning Sue, oh thanks another video tutorial, I love them, two very different cards today, both lovely, I noticed that you have been doing a bit more of the watercolour technique lately, you explained it and made it less daunting at the weekend, you are right about it being easier than using the alcohol markers, it looks more "organic" too, which I love, I must get some distress markers! My only wish for the last weekend shows was that you had a little more demo !

Two great cards again Sue, love the simplicity of the first, haven't managed to sneak this die into the house yet, but I sure I could do it with the Californian collection. The second is just so clean and the generation stamping always gives such dimension. Norah, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some dry days as I have had loads of horse rugs bought in this week and it will make is so much easier to dry them on the line, even though putting them on there is a real struggle with the ME, Lynne take care of yourself and keep your head warm, your fur babies will help with that, pay keep on being cheerful and Camilee rest that knee. Thanks so much for the messages about my daughter and her skills tests, she went out in the afternoon on her horse who decided that sheep were big fluffy monsters so put in a huge sideways jump which sent her the opposite way, but she stayed on, just as she was regaining her balance the darn animal sped of forwards, leaving her where she was but somewhat lower! Maher first fall off this particular mare in a year, she now has a very sore back and knee, with hyper mobility problems she doesn't need falls bless her, she is still on cloud nine though after her results so that is taking the edge of the pain.. Take care all and if I get brain fug to all those going to the AP this weekend have a really lovely time and hope there wuill be lots of photos for us all to see xxx

Two lovely cards, think I will have a go at the first one as it was quite simple and straightforward for me!!!

Hallo Sue and I should add "you're amazing"! It's all so quick and easy on the video. It takes me ages to decide what to do before I start though. Using a cutwork die without a border makes such a super centrepiece for the card and the aqua is so pretty. The daisies are nice and summery but I think I would have to put the sentiment in the lower half to cover the bareness. Hope you enjoy Ally Pally, sorry I can't be with you, love from Jackie D

Late yet again, Sue. Love the video, thank you, always like seeing you do the piercing - am getting better at it. Also like the second card BUT do prefer your ornate ones. More is More in my camp!!
Thanks, Julie, collected himself from Swindon hospital - he is okay but will need more surgery in the future. Each time there is a 'procedure' a bit more damage is done. Feel like I've done nothing but drive on the M4 in the past 24 hours. Need sleep.
Cameeli - late to say it - but so glad procedure went well.
Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow - so many with problems.

Two lovely cards. Thanks for giving us inspiration for the times when we need uncomplicated cards in a hurry. Great video.

Margaret hope you had a lovely Birthday Rosemarie wishing you sunshine. Nanny Tina you made me think about when we had our suite re-upholstered many moons ago. We spent five weeks sitting on fold-up garden chairs. No padding just material stretched over metal frames!

Hope everyone has a wonderful time at Ally Pally. Envious. Some pictures would be great.
