It's a Two-Fer Sunday

Good Sunday morning all!  Since I am delving into the sweet treats, I decided to go all the way and let you have two of them today!  This first card was a real lark to make as I just started stamping a piece of milk coloured card with the ice cream cones from the Cupcake Celebration stamp set.   They are in two parts as you can mix and match the top and bottoms of the cones with other styles on the set.  I stamped all the cones, then went back and stamped in all the ice cream.  I picked pastel pink, yellow and blue to colour them and kept all the cones the same.  On each of them, I added a soft blue shadow around the edge.  I covered the entire background with a sticky adhesive sheet and then added Glacier Ice.  I used three pastel colours of seam binding and tied it around the bottom of the card and made a matching messy bow.  I stamped a sentiment tag and cut it out with one of the tags from the Cupcake set.  I tucked it under a wooden button with some twine on my bow.  I stamped the large ice cream cone from The Scoop stamp set by Justrite, coloured and cut it out by hand.  I cut one of the tags from the Vintage Labels Four die set out of milk card and inked through it with Antique linen.  I cut another out of blush card, cut it in half and used it as a shadow.  I mounted it on the card as my focal element.  I finished the card with a double milk mat and used the new Cosmic Shimmer Ivory PVA Glue dots around the edge.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8" in size.  There is another sweet treat for you below!

Card number two is a clean and simple version.  I cut a heart aperture out of a piece of coconut white card.  I embossed the remaining background with the new Honeycomb embossing folder.  I added mounting foam to the back and mounted it over a striped decorative paper from my stash.  I stamped my sentiment and made it into a double ended flag and mounted it partially across my aperture.  I stamped one of the small cones and added three scoops of ice cream to it.  I coloured it to look like chocolate ice cream and cut it out.  I added a tiny piece of foam to the back and attached it to my sentiment flag.  Using the Choco brown PVA glue, I added the chocolate "sauce" to the top and allowed it to dry.  To complete this card I added a double white mat and used the Cosmic Shimmer White PVA glue to dot all the way around the edge to frame my card.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" in size.
Sorry to have to make you wait another day for the Comment game winners to be drawn, but don't forget to read all the way to the bottom of the post on Monday to see if your name has been picked!  All for now, Sue x

Rosemarie - wishing you a perfect day.
Pam, Carol, Tandy and karenlotty - special thoughts.
Sorry you didn't get a birthday foal, Lindsay ('our' mare who grazes here has been taken away to have her babe - but will be returning. Can't wait!)
Thanks to all inc Magpie for good wishes re himself - feeling a little perkier now (me, not him!)
No, actually he is much better, thank heavens.

GM Sue - It was really great to meet you in person yday for the first time - OK it took me a few attempts as every time I walked past your stand you were surrounded by folks about 3 deep! but I found a thinner queue for you at lunchtime which was good and we had a nice chat which was lovely - your stand had soooo many samples on - it looked wonderful. I also met Cameeli - nice to put a face to the names - bit didn't see any other Wilsonettes but we left early about 2ish as we wanted to travel back before the football fans - ughh! Yes I bought lots of things that hubby kindly carried in his rucksack - so he became by bag carrier and didn't read his book once! There were plenty of places he could sit and read if he'd have wanted but he seemed quite happy people watching whilst I went round the stands - he saw some some interesting things which completely went past me including a lady with a bloody nose, another wearing a witches hat, another in a mobility scooter who when she couldn't get to something she wanted on a stand, she got out of her scooter to get it (he said that smacked of the david walliams wheelchair sketch). This was his first craft show and I dont think he could quite take in all those ladies packed into a stall trying to shop! men ehh.... they just wouldn't bother. Anyway came home with a selection of card, some inks, some markers, some pearls, some stamps, some dies, a pot of EP and a pair of scissors - oh and some CE chalk paints - so enough to keep me v. busy for quite a while.

We got home at 5ish, had a much needed cuppa and then hit the sofa for 40 winks before watching the masters golf on TV - it was a tiring day and my legs and feet where killing me when I got home but glad we did it - even think the hubby might go again sometime- I did make sure he had a coffee break after 1 hour and a lunch break after another 1.5. hours and we both needed that! Going to have an easy day today to recover!

Todays cards are fab - love the first one and also the simplicity of the 2nd one but so efective.

If you are off to AP today you will love it I am sure. Have a great day!

Meant to say Two Fer cards like the rainbow heart.
Pam I have just read your comment from the 11th it was really sweet of you, I have to keep going back to see what I have missed!!

Have a great day if you are at Ally Pally today, you will not be disappointed with the stands. Don't miss Barbara Gray on Clarity next door to Rubbernecker!!

Welcome Yvonne, Norah great news about your Girls engagements.
Steph take care sweetie, I am sending a hug for your hands. A hug for Norah too and those who need one.

Myra from Florida and all the other sweet ladies, my Partner is recovering and was happy for me to go to AP, we get the results next week. She is exhausted now with all my booty show and tell and the shock of a new E-bosser!! and of course lots of goodies from Sue's Stand!!

I agree with Julie B, Sue was mobbed for most of time we were there, but in a nice way, but bless her heart she made time for everyone, and was really cute with a little girl watching the demos, it was precious. I had a hug from Sue too, hope some of her creative magic rubs off on me sorry no photo though.

Met a lovely lady from the blog in wheelchair ( you know who you are) I am having a senior moment with names these days, but and we had a nice chat, briefly spoke to Clare W, who had made a wonderful Sue Bow, sat with Milly and her friends from Poole Dorset who was 80 and dressed in Lilac and so lovely.
Well off for my swim, which has helped improved my knee greatly. Got to hit the craft room this afternoon as I am making the place names for the wedding. but I have a sneaky suspicion that I will be distracted by my new purchases Shh!!

Spent some time watching and chatting with Sue too, which was lovely. But my goodness by far the busiest stand all day!
BSSS has to be the best craft show, most stands were proper 'get your fingers messy' craft stands, which is brilliant!
Hope all who go today enjoy it as much as we did!

And the second card is also stunning - I REALLY MUST do more cards with apertures in the design.
Both cards make me smile, so thank you so much.

Hi Sue,
Love today's cards and I too should start to think about using apertures in my cards more. I'm so envious of all the lucky Wilsonettes who managed to get to AP and to actually meet you and each other. It's so much nicer when you can put a face to a name. Hope you have another very successful day and enjoy.

Hi Sue,
I have loved the cards this week, except for last one....the design is great and would work well with other stamps . I am not keen on the embossing folder, would have liked a different one. There is only so much that you can do with ice cream and I prefer to eat it lols. However your designs are beautiful, and thank you for sharing them.

Good morning Sue and all my fellow Wilsonettes,
Please excuse my rudeness Sue, but i just wanted to let Pam, Tandy, Karen Lottie and Carol you are all going through a very rough day today that i am sending comfort hugs and prayers to each of them. I hope that they are surrounded by the people they love this day.
I love the first card very much as it so reminds me of the fascination of being a child and seeing all the different flavours of ice cream, my eyes going wide at what to choose first although Scottish cones have always been with a long stem on them(we like value for our money). My mum used to go to the ice cream parlours when she was courting my beloved dad, and in coffee shops. Those were the days when there wasn't as many PUB's of course and neither of them drunk, happy days. I have fallen in love with your pastel shades of card as it is so pretty and they are true colours, not pink with a hint of something. I have now two engagement cards to make today, one for my wee girl and one for my very special niece who i found out last night has got engaged on her birthday on Thursday, it's only taken her lovely Fiance 9years(he was being canny before doing it). And today of course we have a beautiful mother of the bride getting ready for her little girls big day ahead. Enjoy this very special day Rosemarie and just go with the flow and tissues a very good idea.
Pam flower, please don't think anymore about it as you didn't offend me, i think you have more pressing things on your mind that i wish i could do something to ease away that upset/trials oh i don't know what to call you feeling so alone, but Tim will always be close to you, he is in your heart and mind.
No it will not be a double wedding as we will have no say in my step daughters day. Her nibs, well that will be a few years away(hopefully as her dad is taking kittens just at the mention of engagement). And she has already told me before now that she will be picking my outfit as i wear old fuddy duddy stuff. I think my daughter forgets that i am not in my early 30's i am very close to 50, and i am not willing to go around as mutton dressed up as lamb thank you very much. And as for a titfer tat, i have memories of my mum's going flying off like a saucer on take off, so it will be something that i can anchor on or it will be just the hair which i suppose i will need to get done by a hairdresser, lord that will be the worse part of all. So as you see i hope that it is a time away in the future and i'll not tell you what his lordship is saying about when it should be.
Well time to drag the unwilling part of the body(that will be from the neck downwards in laymans terms) up the stair to sort out the room and put away all the washings. From a rotten day up at the Ochils i wish you all a very good day where ever you are,
Love and crafty hugs to all the special people on the blog,
Norah (Glenochil)

Good morning all, wow loved the ice cream card when you showed it on the tool shed last week, I'm sure I ordered the stamps from another out let but can't find a receipt yet for it and not arrived, my mind really is going! The second is so simple and is great for those men we sometimes have to do cards for.
Pam, Carol, Tandy and Karen lot tie thinking of all of you today, keep strong but not so strong you can't shed the odd tear, I'm sure your loved ones would want it that way. Norah, I'm so sorry I forgot to congratulate you yesterday, but now I can give you extra congratulations on the latest of your families engagements, busy times ahead for you all. I know what you mean about the hairdresser, I hate going, not been for a year now, and my daughter keeps nagging me that I have to go, never mind will just scrape it up and hide it under my cap!
Lynne, so glad you managed a lie in yesterday, you will have to tell my pooch what that is as he never lets me sleep in, far too much needs doing apparently, although he is now curled up on a chair totally out of it! Tell those hobnails to put some covers on them as your tired of them in your head, let's hope you can feel slightly better again tomorrow, and those girls if yours can find some more amusement for you. P in Wales still no foals, my daughter has decided they are all just to fat and not pregnant at all, maybe we can prove her wrong tonight! Steph and all others suffering, I hope you all get some relief from your pains today, am off to try and rest after reading the lovely but exhausting times those of you lucky enough to have gone to AP yesterday had, and Rosemarie just befor I go hope the wedding has gone well today, and that when you read this you can relax kick those shoes off and enjoy the moments you had today xxxx

Hi Sue. I love your two cards today !! The first one is my favourite, just gorgeous !! It looks good enough to eat, it looks very tempting. I love the pastel colours you have used, the lovely pastel ribbons and the cute little tag with the sentiment on !! As for the glitter, you just can't go wrong with that !! It looks fab. The second card is nice to but personally I think it looks a little to bare for me. It is still a lovely card though. X x x
Yesterday's card was amazing !! I loved everything about this one. I loved the mask so much, I bought it at the show. I did not get time to comment before I came to the show and when I got home I had to rest and do nothing for the whole evening as the illness kicked in. I still managed to go though and it was so worth feeling ill for !!

Well I went to your stand at the Alley Palley show yesterday and it was so crowded with people that I could not even see you !! I kept coming back at various times throughout the day but you always had loads of people around you !! With me being what my hubby calls "vertically challenged", I had to give up !! It was a wonderful though day and I went and watched Julia doing a demo and I saw Phill and Sam Poole too and it was great. I bought three of your new dies, two of your new embossing folders and three of your new stamps !! Then right at the end of the day as everyone was going home I came back to your stall one last time and there were only two people around. We have met only once before Sue, last year at Alley Palley. You looked up and you said " I recognise you! your name is Tres !! ( Teresa.) I could not believe that you remembered me !! We chatted briefly and you got someone to take a photo of us together !! My hubby took several to as I always look awful in photos. I always close my eyes or look drunk for some reason !! ( I hate having my photo taken. I just get nervous. ) You were fantastic Sue and I even got a hug !! You absolutely made my year Sue !! And you even liked my homemade Sue Wilson Rose, pinned to my top, even though it was my first attempt at making one. I had the best day ever and I can't wait to go again next year. ( hopefully.) I cannot thank you enough. X x x

To Pam, Tandy, Carole and Karrenlotty, I am thinking of you all today and sending lots of love and hugs x x x
Happy Birthday Tim x x x
To Steph, I hope your pain eases and you feel better soon. X x x
To Norah, Congratulations on the lovely news of your Daughters engagement !! X x x
To Rosemary, I hope you have a wonderful time at your Daughters Wedding today !! Enjoy yourself, I am
sure you will have a great day. X x x
Sending love and hugs to any one else that needs them today X x x

Lots of Love to you Sue and everyone love Tres x x x

Tandy, Carol E, Karen Lottie - you have all been in my thoughts and prayers I hope you got through today. LOL
