Happy Birthday Wishes /Sneak Peek

Hello bloggers!  Back again with another sneaky peeky!  This one showcases the Stitched Flowers by Justrite Stamps and I love this set!  I started by simply embossing coconut white card with my new A4 embossing folder called Celtic Flower.    I added a white on white border using the Italian collection border.  For the focal element, I cut the Umbria die out of white card and backed it with a solid lilac circle die so the colour just peeks through.  I stamped the tag from the Stitched Flower set using a black Archival Ink pad.  I cut it out with the matching Antique tag die by Justrite and inked through the die with Dusty Concord before removing it.  I stamped the sentiment and used the smaller die to cut it out and inked it lightly as well.  I layered them up with foam mounting pieces and added them to the centre of my card.  I stamped three of the flowers from the set with black ink on lilac card and cut them out by hand (they are very easy to cut out by hand)  I stamped the flowers again on white card and just cut the centres out and layered them up onto mu flowers.  I used a white pencil to highlight the flowers a bit then added them to my card.  I also stamped one of the butterfly from the set and cut him out and added him to the top of the card.  I tied a messy bow and placed it on my border with one of the flowers and some Bakers Twine.  I finished the card with some pearl swirls around my focal element and a double pierced mat layer with a thin lilac mat added in the middle of them.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.

Now we have three winners of the Wednesday card giveaway to announce today.  The first winner is:
Heather Harrison!!! (gold card)

The second card winner is:
Aspiring Crafter!!! (pink and black card)

The third card winner is:
Debbie Tinks!!! (card with Nestabling)

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your cards!

If anyone is in the area today, I will be doing a demo at the Coleman's warehouse in Rushden (Northamptonshire) all day  (10 to 4 demo time, doors open at 8:30 am)  I would love for you to come by and say hi and please let me know that you are on the blog, as I would love to be able to a face with the name!  All for now, Sue x

Good Morning Sue,
We are so lucky to have your as our resident craft extraordinaire, I really like today's offering!!
the lilac is gorgeous and those flowers just lovely!!

The pressure is still on, I was not able to find an outfit last night, from the thousands of really lovely things. The problem being that most designs, even that of Jacques Vert would not fit or cover my Sumo warrior type & size of arms and chest!! Oh yes and Belly.
Travelling to Windsor today and will maybe have to have a bespoke outfit made.

Well have a lovely day whatever you are doing and hugs to everyone.

Carmeeli, don't put yourself down, you have done fantastically well to lose so much weight. There will be the perfect outfit for you, it's just sometimes the stress of having to find something blinkers us to something that's right there in front of us. Try to ENJOY your day in Windsor.

Looking forward to the shows tomorrow. Good luck for today. Cameeli - don't put yourself down , you have done brilliantly. There is a range of clothing for us larger ladies by Chesca - I know up here John Lewis and House of Fraser stock. It is a " designer" label for larger ladies and not outrageously priced. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Todays card is so beautiful Sue with the celtic embossing folder and your round dies, which until now i haven't really had a want for then, and now you go and do this to me, so i need them. The white with the lilac is such a lovely calming, soothing combination, with your new stamp flowers and buttons has that whimsical look. A+ top of the class. Enjoy your time in Rushden today, oh how jealous i am off all you lucky people that are coming to see you, hope you all have a fantastic day.
Cameeli my dear flower, you are a beautiful, gorgeous, curvacious woman. Show that bust off with pride, its yours and not man made. You have a beautiful figure and you have just to see the right outfit on it. Never put yourself down like you have today as you should be proud of what you have achieved, i know we all are.
And Steph, i would like to clatter those ignorant little horrors heads together, but i know exactly how you are feeling. My mum and i are the spitting image of each other...she is 5st and i am 14st 3. My mum has always been under 7.5 stone, but since losing my dad she is fading away before my eyes. She had a leprechaun on her leg that is upside down(birth mark)and is very conscious of it especially at the cruelness of others about her weight, size and marking. She too has IBS, amongst a LOT of very severe health issues. She is so thin that her hip bone has worn through her skin and is now an open wound the size of a gala melon. When working ,while everyone else was stripping off as much as they could to lose weight, she has spanners, screwdrivers, scissors and anything else that she needed to do her work, in her pockets so she was heavier than the last time that she had had a shreikin' about being to light. She always brought my twin and i up not to be pass remarkable about anyone, and i hope i have kept to that with my own children. These little hooligans have obviously been dragged up and not brought up or they wouldn't have noticed you being any different than being a new face to see. You are a beautiful person and they are just to ignorant to see that.
Oh Tres, how lucky you are to have a very special daughter who loves you. Enjoy your dies and now every time you use her cup you will be giving her that special kiss. You should be very proud of your granddaughter as being able to play any musical instrument brings such lasting love to someone. They can enjoy alsorts of music and bring soothing serenity to their lives in times of need.
Lynda, i am wondering if the ink mark was the reason for the shop assistant telling you not to open the box until a week before your wedding, so that it was way past time for you to bring it back? I would have thought that they would have inspected it as they were wrapping it up into the special folds to prevent excessive creasing. I am so glad you showed your father his princess' gown.
Brenda, i never had the minister falling asleep on me but i did need to get all made up again 6 weeks later because i didn't have photograph of me with my parents, or them together or even a single of me. So my album has the group shots of my mum in own outfit with a frisbee(her hat took off in the middle of the pictures outside the church. Have you ever seen a large group of men chasing a apricot flying saucer down a road and into a cemetery? A sight to be hold and not one i would advertise as playing amongst the gravestones is very rude. Fun and laughter for all.
Have a great weekend everyone and i hope to see you all tomorrow,
Love and crafty hugs to you my very special friends,
Norah (dreich Glenochil)

I don't know about other people but I am finding it increasingly difficult to find items that people can afford to pay for. You will look lovely anyway. Hi To Step and Norah. I do love reading your whimsies. I love looking at Sue's card but also to reading everyone's comments.

Theresa. At Christmas I made some cards for little people to colour themselves. I stamped Santa and a reindeer 6 of each. A cheap pack of crayons (remembering to put the warning re age usage of crayons) on the pack and they all sold. So Easter chicks/bunnies/eggs and crayons and children can colour them and hand to teachers etc (Sue has a fab Easter/Spring stamp) which would make beautiful childrens 'colour your own card' pack. I also typed a small sign and decorated it before laminating it. Also at the market I did 2 weeks ago I bought packet of fluffy yellow chicks just to highlight the area my Easter cards were placed and a polyanthus plant by the MD cards. Presentation of your area counts too. So make it stand out without over doing it : ) Think Spring and fresh. Hope I have managed to help just a little.

Note to Aspiring Crafter - if you want to pass on Sue's card when you've finished with it - I can give it a good home.

Hi sue

Sorry I've not been commenting lately I've been so busy with my card making. Mother's Day was a huge hit and I found myself in the craft room a lot.

I'm loving today's cards of course the colours are totally up my street. Love those new flower stamps and how you used one of your dies for the centre and layered it up.
Can't wait for the shows.

Right first off cameeli never let us read your put downs again, you always sound such a lovely caring person and contrary to what most men think size does no matter it's what's inside that's important! I'm keeping my fingers crossed you find that perfect outfit today, there is just the right one out there somewhere, it's just a matter of finding it. Good luck Alison with your craft fair today, and well done to the amazingly fortunate Wednesday card winners. Now for today's card, love it, and think the embossing folder is great, I really need a money tree in the fields, so much I would love to buy, maybe someone will take pity on me and by me something SW for my birthday this week. Lucky people to get to see you live Sue, I think you should come and demo in Shropshire, I would cancel all lessons and watch you avidly instead. Looking forward to tomorrow's show, will try and email in to fill your cup even more, no foals still I sure it won't be long though, love to you all, have a good Saturday everyone xxx

Hi Sue
Such a beautiful card today so elegant and rich looking and the embossing folder is wonderful, when I am finished here I will be going onto Sunrise Crafts to order one.
Cameeli please don't put yourself down you have done so well you should be so proud of what you have achieved. When you are looking for an outfit don't tell the shop assistants it is for your son's wedding as they only bring out the most expensive outfits there will be a beautiful one waiting for you that will fit perfectly and enhance your good looks so stop the worrying enjoy your shopping.
Steph just tell those dreadful children you will regard their remarks with the contempt they deserve. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you have a heart of gold and so beautiful.
Sorry Sue but you are far too far away to visit, so envious of those who will be able to visit have a wonderful day, looking forward to your shows tomorrow.
Warm wishes and hugs to those who need them.

Hi Sue,
Hi Everyone,
Lovely card today Sue. The stamp set looks really versatile and that's before I've seen what you will come up with! So looking forward to tomorrow - will try to see a few minutes live but already set Record!
Cameeli, so sorry you were disappointed yesterday but I reckon when it comes to clothes shopping you either have a great day or a hopeless one! Don't give up and don't get down - you are such a lovely lady! Maybe by now you've found that outfit! Hope so! x

Steph, how awful! Children did not used to behave like that! It's not just me wearing rose tinted glasses. Good manners and kindness seem to have become old fashioned at least for some! When you are unwell to add insult to injury is just awful. They don't know you like we do! X
Norah, what a picture - a chase after an apricot flying saucer! We were at a wedding a few years ago and there was a pond in the grounds of the Hotel. Young lady's hat blew off and landed right in the middle - oh no, says she I paid £9 99 for that!!
Love to all,
Myra
