Thanks

Good morning crafters!  I thought I would share one of the cards made with the Spanish Collection today.  This is the Cordoba die set and it is unique in that it has an outer cutting die that leaves a pretty aperture that you can use.  I have cut the die out of coconut white card here and have added mounting foam to the aperture to raise it for dimension.  I love the way the open dots from the aperture really draw the eye in to the centre of the card.  I used the inside of the die cut and recessed it down on to peach card.  I cut the centre oval out of peach and added it to the centre of the card.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with the tag from the Spanish Collection and lightly inked it with Tattered Rose before removing it.  I mounted it in the centre with foam for dimension.  I used the Faux Quilled Blooms and cut several flowers out of peach card ad layered them up.  I seated the largest flower on a messy bow tied from white seam binding with which I decided to try an experiment  by cutting the loops in half.  It gives the overall finished bow a shabby chic appearance.  The remaining few flowers were scattered in the opposite corner.  I made a couple of pretty stick pins and added them to my bow.  The card was finished with a double white pierced mat with a thin peach mat in between.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 9" in size.  I hope you like it!

Thank you for all the wonderful hearfelt messages left for me yesterday!  It was a perfect weekend between the die shows being received so very well and the great big crafty hug I felt coming from everyone on the blog, thank you!  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue. I don't want this die, no really, I don't. I can't afford it so I don't want it. Oh but I DO! Luckily it won't disappear for a while so maybe it can be a very early birthday present. I have the flowers, bought the very first day of launching, and have already used them again and again. Lovely card altogether. Have a safe trip back, enjoy the time with your Mum and her birthday celebrations, but don't forget us here. xx Maggie (better without a bow)

Hi Sue

Your dies are so beautiful, I'm having a hard time deciding which ones I want first.

I've only been subscribed since last week, I'm loving recieving the emails as you are the reason I brought a die cutting machine, have tried for three years to do my dies justice and have been meaning to find your blog. Soon as I can get a chance to try some of your techniques I will see if I can improve my cards!

I won't always be able to comment, but today's card and all the ones I've seen so far are so pretty I had to. I had to record the weekends shows as I have to share the TV holidays and weekends! I watched two last night and I'm still no closer to choosing, may just go with shapes and styles unlike the dies I already have.

Anyway, I've waffled too long. Hope you have a safe journey and a lovely time with your Mom, can't wait until you're on C & C again.

Thank you for the inspiration

Crafty hugs,

Tracey

Just love todays card Sue. The colours and format are absolutely stunning. How do you do it!! Thank you again and of course I was glued to the tv over Saturday and Sunday and every time I watch you at work I just admire your composure, efficiency and the happiness on your face and always your tips and helpfulness. I'm sure we all learn so much from you for our craft. I know I do. I didn't even find time to switch the computer on yesterday so have only just read your letter. A lovely lady to know even if over the ether (as they say!). I must admit it feels as if I have known you personally for yonks and yet it is only a couple of years. That is due to your friendship, helpfulness and bubbly personality and enthusiasm. Please keep up the good work and thank you too for the insight into your personal life. sincerely Maureen

Hi Sue and all the Wilsonettes. I am sorry I have not commented for a few days but I felt exactly the same as Norah, like it was partly my fault. I got very upset as things began spiralling out of control. I felt so very sorry for Sue who had all that worry, stress and upset at a time when she had worked so hard to bring her new dies and stamps to C+C and I thought the timing of it all was so unfair. My illness does not allow me to cope with the upset and stress of it all, so for my own sake I had to stay away. (It makes my symptoms a million times worse.)
I never used to comment on personal issues, only the cards but over time, after reading other peoples comments I started to feel safe and more confident to talk about stuff that was happening to me. I began to feel like I was making friends with people, even though I had never met any of you. I was starting to feel like I was part of Sue's blog family and I was so happy to be a part it all. I love reading people's stories about various issues, like Lynne Mill's fur babies and Steph and Norah's funny experiences ect...
Above all I come each day (when illness permits,) to look at and comment on Sue's amazing creations. Sue you are my crafting Hero, and I adore and respect you !! You are an amazing person and you give me the strength to keep going day after day. I will never be able to thank you enough for everything you have done for me. I will continue to blog here every day until Sue says otherwise. THANK YOU SUE from the bottom of my heart !!!!!!!!!

There was a lot going on for me over the weekend as I had plenty of family members descend upon me so it was very busy and tiring. I managed to see some of your shows but I recorded them all and have now watched them all as I could not wait !! I have not long started the Weight Watchers diet so I have not had any chocolate over Easter which is an absolute nightmare for me as I am a Chocoholic !! Instead of an Easter egg my wonderful hubby bought me the first set of the Spanish collection from C+C. ( The one with the background die in it !!) Thank goodness for Flexipay !! I just could not believe it !! I am so very lucky to have such a wonderful man.
Today's card as absolutely gorgeous Sue !! I bought the Cordoba die from you at Alley Palley and I am most definitely going to give this card a try. It is just Stunning. I do not have your faux quilled flower dies but I do have your beautiful Roses dies and will use them instead.
Wishing you lots of love Sue, and I hope you have a wonderful time in Florida with your Mum and family. Happy birthday wishes to your Mum, I am sure you will all have lots of exciting Celebrations !!
To all the Wilsonettes, I hope you understand why I needed to stay away.
I really did not think in all the confusion that any one would notice me not being around.
Thank you to every one who cared.
Pam, thank you for caring, you are such a lovely lady. I hope you are okay. X x x
Thank you to Myra P and Shirley Terretta who also commented. X x x
Lots of love to all, love Tres x x x

Hi Sue. Better late than never. Absolutely fab card. Luckily for me I have this die so will try to try my hand at something like this in the very near future. I actually finished the card I mentioned the other day and I'm very pleased with the result.
I haven't got round to watching the shows but I've got to say they are ALL recorded to keep.
Have a fantastic time with your Mum and come back safe.
Lots of love, Jo xx
