Hi guys! Today is the day that I have been looking forward to for quite a while as I'm really excited about actually showing off my dies on tv (wish me luck!) I know that they have been out for several months now but I have been making cards with them since October so there are loads of samples that I haven't shown off yet! This card is one of my favourites and would have been perfect for the wedding shows I just finished! Using the
Heart Striplet die, I cut it four times using the outside cutting edge each time. Next I used just the outside edge and cut four backing pieces out of silver card. I glued the decorative striplet piece (which I cut out of milk card) to the silver backing piece and added mounting foam to the backs. Using my
Basketweave embossing folder, I embossed a piece of
milk card and matted it on silver. I arranged my striplets so they were in a square and overlapping on one end. I thought they made such a pretty frame like that. I cut a length of
silver satin ribbon and made a flower from it following the exact same technique that I showed in my very first video found here

silver seam binding and added a stick pin and some dried baby's breath. I stamped my sentiment and cut it into a flag and tucked the end under the flower. I finished the card some
flatback pearls around the striplets and a double pierced milk mat. Finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. I hope you can tune in for today's shows at 9am, 12 noon and 6pm and Sunday at 11am and 2pm!

Oh Sue, your blog is my first go-to place every day when I fire up the iPad. I don't comment as much as I should I guess, but I feel that I have found a treasured crafty friend.

Gosh I love this card ! (But I do love them all ) but I do have this die and using it like this never entered my head , thank goodness for Sue's inspiration. Loved the demos but still have the 6pm one to watch .Happy Easter and hugs to all xo

A beautiful card and a snazzy use of the die. Unfortunately I don't yet have that die so will make a card in the style of using what I have got.

Hi sue love your cards and I have purchased a few of your californian dies today there was one card made with the inner part of the die you demonstrate on you tube called curtain ? Sorry forgot the rest the card I refer to this part of the die was the focal point and I think at the back was gilding flakes.
