Fluttering Butterflies

Hi crafters!  This is a really different sort of card from me today (it actually opens!), but it is great fun and could be used for all sorts of different type of cards, young and old.  It's a great one to add to your crafty arsenal and bring out when you want something special.  Hope you like it!

Good morning Sue
Today's gift would certainly make everyone smile and can you just imagine a little girl opening this gift on her Birthday morning. There would be smiles all round.
I have your pinpoint efolder and have to say it is beautiful to work with and that it's taken over from your other single pin/cluster pin efolder. Your colours are very summery and it's just what we need on a very very wet morning like today. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face to start the day.

Sandra - there is no need for you to have low self-esteem - having visited your blog (I still cannot get to leave a message but will still try) your creations are just beautiful and anyone would buy your gifts in a heart beat. Am sending lots and lots of good vibrations and hugs in the hope that they will help you recover. I just loath it when people use others for their gratification. Hope that makes sense to you.

Have to go as Mr E has dust driven up the back lane and will be in the kitchen in no time with bread and paper ready for his breakfast. He's just come in saying that the dykes are full and the fields are flooding. It started last tea time with a horrible thunderstorm and then continued raining through the night. It's still coming down like stair rods even now. Oh well flippers at the ready but for me it's definitely a staying in day.

To all under the weather hoping your better soon. To all take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Janet x

Hi Sue and all Wilsonettes. WOW Sue, talk about a different card, this is SO different from your usual make, you've jumped out of the box let alone thought out of the box, your card actually made me laugh out loud as soon as your tutorial started, what a suprise. Its beautiful Sue, so special, and as Janet said, imagin the smile and giggles it would bring to a little girl. This card could be adapted for the festive season using your Justrite etc cute festive stamps. I made some childrens cards and tags last year using acitate but my childrens elements had a wobble and a jiggle to them as I didnt know how to do pop up cards, but I do now so thank you Sue for some wonderful tuition and inspiration.
Its a cold but dry day so far in Lancashire, sorry its all wet and unwelcoming in your little French village Janet, but the kitchen smells adorable.
Id like to congratulate our Wilsonette Tina on your debut DT card on the CE blog, see, dreams do come true.
Im sending our poorly friends warm hugs from my basket of love, please feel free to help yourselves. To our friends that are low, I too send you gentle hugs, and want you to know that when we say we miss you we mean it, your bright light is missing here, please take care and remember we will be here waiting to welcome you home.
Thanks Sue for a fun start to our day, hope your's is full of fun too.
Thinking of you all.
Love you.

Hi Sue,
What a lovely card ! I do love those butterflies. Haven't watched the video just yet as am just waiting for a friend to call as we are have a shopping trip today! Nice to go before it gets too busy. Trouble is we have coffee - chat for too long - walk around a bit - have lunch - chat for too long then coffee/tea before we set off for home! Take out the chatting and coffee breaks and we could do it in a couple of hours!
Still it's lovely to have a day out and I don't have to drive today either. Made hubby a sandwich so I don't feel guilty about leaving him !
Have a good day day everyone.

Good morning Sue and Wilsonette friends,
Oh how lovely but simple your beautiful card is today Sue and so very true. I love the simplicity of this card and the coloured butterflies against the purity of the white background. Thank you Sue for a beautiful card.
Heather, congratulations on the birth of your great nephew. I hope you have many happy cuddly hours with him.
Barbara, what a lovely hubby you have but one piece of advice...don't get rid of your old machine as on power cut days you can still indulge in a bit of crafting.
Ahh so we have Great auntie Jean as well with a new great niece, enjoy the smiles and cuddles and laughter Jean.
Jane, i hope that you and your lovely hubby have a wonderful time in Rome and enjoy everything about your trip, what a wonderful anniversary gift to get.
Oh Ita, i am so sorry that you missed such a great event. Please take it easy and be good as i am beginning to think that you are like my mum had her holiday bag permanently packed for the hospital. Take it easy sweet lady, sending you hugs just because.
Sandra, no one got the chance to buy your beautiful cards because they didn't know you were there. Please stop being so hard on yourself as you make exquisite cards and jewellery worthy of the queen so don't you go bringing yourself down like that. I am so sorry flower that it has taken it's toll on you but please don't give up as you have a talent that people should see. Hugs just to keep you going and i hope that you are feeling a bit better soon.
Myra, it is the one thing that i love going to each year is the pantomine. Although there is one on at the MacRobert Centre at Stirling University, it is dear so Glasgow costs me half the price and it is a great night out. Although John has been across living in USA since he was 10, he still has his Glaswegian accent and brings back so many happy memories of my Glasgow relatives that were tickets i can tell you, Great Auntie Katie being the worst as she would encourage you to miss behave, hee!hee!hee! very happy memories.
Well having just found out that i am going to be a granny for the first time i am shaken to the core, more so because i had hoped for Kirsten to wait a wee while but it is not to be so onwards and upwards because as i said to her wee will get through this and there is things could be a lot worse than having a wee baby. When i said to her last week before she made her discovery that just because my Nana and my mum were grans at 48, didn't mean i wanted to be that age when i became one. She says no mum you'll be older because i am not wanting a baby the now, i didn't think i would be just a 3 weeks out of it. Someone said the other day something about butterflies, well i had one come into my bedroom last night as we were sitting talking which was the strangest thing to me, so any ideas my Angels?
It is quite a nice day up here today with the skies a lovely shade of blue with some white cotton wool clouds. My hills are showing up their lovely colours and everything is so still, so lets see what today brings.
Sending hugs to all my Angels both on the blog and not at the moment. I hope our missing Angels can come back home again soon,
Love and crafty hugs

Good afternoon Sue & lovely friends,
What a lovely fun card today perfect for a little girl I think, so pretty, both inside and out!
Well one positive that has come out of the disastrous weekend is that I now have plenty of new things to put on my blog, so standby for updates! Ism trying to have a more positive day today, I think that having a coffee morning and craft sale here would be something to consider in the future, thank you for all of your support, help and advice, you have seriously helped me recover from the weekend, I think it was exhaustion mixed with huge disappointment and what now appears to be a nasty cold, probably from sitting next to the open fire exit on Saturday! I honestly don't think I would have recovered from such a low so quickly without you lovely bunch, heartfelt thanks once again x
Norah, what fantastic news, you are a year ahead of me age wise and I can't wait yo become a grandma, although my daughter is only 20 and not ready for motherhood at all, she can barely cope with her puppy!
You will be an amazing Granny!
Janet, I hope the rain stops soon, it doesn't come anywhere near your lovely home does it?, I would love to be sitting round that table with you right now, fresh bread, France does a lovely butter that has sea salt crystals in too, it's divine, we always stock up when we sea it, but just that on a still warm French stick, oooooh!
I would come back a fair sight heavier!
Well I get to spend the day with my two lovelies tomorrow (pat & Sue)! Can't wait xx
Huge hugs to each and everyone of you amazing friends

Hi Sue

Butterflies- love them! I remember a presenter on C and C saying that they were almost the international symbol of craft. I also love the old adage of if you make a mistake stick a butterfly on it! Seriously though this card would be just right for my baby sisters 16th birthday next year, or my friends 30 something birthday later this month. A proper all rounder.

It seems from reading the comments you are back 'home' again Sue. If you are I hope the weather is good and Mom is well. Big hugs for her (& you of course!) from myself and Billy x

Ita, I hope you're ok. Get well soon so you can get back crafting xxx

Sandra, I used to sell and some days were good, some stunk royally! I am getting the impression from ladies who have seen your work you are very, very talented- I would love to know what your blog address is so I can see for myself- don't give up, I think the trick is finding the right place/ event to sell at. Very best of luck finding that place as when you do you'll do brilliantly xxx

Norah- wow, bet that was a shock! You'll be a perfect Grandmother and Rory will love being an uncle. I hope the weather hasn't been too severe for you xxx

Again, apologies for my absence lately. My body doesn't appreciate the changing weather I think, plus my back has been a cause for concern. I have tried to be busy when I can, I've been decorating my storage I painted. I did a sort of old fashioned decoupage, cutting out or using die cuts of early 20th century illustrations of flowers, ephemera etc. It looks like a big collage but the bits are so pretty - Butterflies flowers. It's done well taking my mind off things. I just need to line the trays and it's ready to be home to my dies, A4 EFs, favourite stamps, card and those little bits like CE glues, gilding wax and the like. It took ages, doing a couple of bits at a time but I'm happy. I've been doing some crochet too. I think the upheavals changing cleaner and PA must've took its toll but I have 'managed' it without ending up in bed for a spell.

Some good news though, I finally got 'Let it Snow' die! How happy am I?! Also there's a new craft shop in town so weather/ body permitting my PA and I are going Thursday to see if we can fit my chair in! If not theres a lovely independent coffee shop and yarn shop nearby so the trip won't be wasted!

Which means a rest till then, it'll be worth it though ;)

So that's life in my little patch of Suffolk, Lots of hugs to everyone, especially if you need them. Billy sending wags and woofs too!
