You're So Sweet

Hi crafters!  Aqua and white with just a touch of black for the blog card today.  I began by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Jacobean Floral embossing folder to give the background some texture.  I cut two of the Linear Elegance Edger out of white and backed them with aqua card.  I cut the small edger from the set out of black and added it to the outer sides of both of the borders and then added them to the edges of the card with mounting foam.  For the focal element, I cut the Molly die out of aqua card and out of black card and used it as a shadow behind the aqua die cut.  I cut a Tahiti die out of white and nipped it in half and added it to the top and bottom of the Molly die.  I stamped my sentiment and seated it on a Pacific Ocean Tag cut out of white and backed with black.  Aqua, white and black mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card Sue, brightens up a dreary Monday morning, thank you.
Cheryl and Theresa, I hope you had a peacedpful reflective day yesterday. Today would have been my husband Brian's 68th birthday, sadly I lost him 24 years ago, Just before his 44th birthday. Carmen your words of comfort were beautiful.
Elaine, I hope you had a lovely birthday with the family and lunch with your friend. Hope all goes well for Andrew today.
Laine, thank you for the update on Yvonne, pass on our good wishes and to you too.
Yes ladies I did have red hair, more like a honey gold than ginger, at one point I could sit on it but the years have turned it to a pale blonde whereas George has the salt and pepper colour. At least I never have to do my roots, although someone at work asked if I dyed it every week.
Helen, did I sound bossy, so sorry, just concerned. I know how frustrating it can get when you can't do anything. Mea culpa
Maria, you are in a bad way, please take care.
June hope the craft workshop went well.
Daily hugs to all especially our missing friends . Thinking of the two Tina's, hope you are finding peace and comfort.

Morning Sue. I do love Aqua, along with the Blush card it's my most stocked up card on my shelf and I'll never be without both colours cuz I'm so stingy I only use them on special cards, and considering that apart from Andy and Lou and her hubby and daughter they are my only family, my two most favourite colours will last me my lifetime lol. You need black with Aqua, just that tiny pop makes the world of difference and shows the intricacy of the dies you've used perfectly, it's a beautiful sample to start the week and of course Sue the sentiment was made for you.
Hope you had a good weekend and a good week to come. Intrigued to see the Woodward shows today in between cutting a few baskets and SB frames ready for the basket bunnies and eggs for a few Easter cards to take to market.
Sending my usual hugs your way to start your week ☺ xxx

Morning Sue, a lovely cheerful card to brighten a wet dreary morning. The black detail makes such a difference to the look of the card. I am looking forward to spending some time in my craft room this week as the last few weeks have been busy with various appointments and a wet day is a good excuse to craft and leave the housework. I love the colours on the card and the borders. Thank you 😊

Dear Sue and Fans

I love how the Pacific Ocean tag echoes the Tahiti.

You make us look so smart when you do that for us.

Congratulations to the blog contest winners! (Forgot to do that yesterday). Will you tell us what you won? Or is that not done?

Today is the first day of Spring! Won't it be nice to come and go without coats, boots, hats, scarves and gloves!

Wishing unexpected wonders on everyone and special blessings of relief for those in pain or sorrow.

Love,
Donita

Bit tired today, 2 of my Son's Ewe's managed to produce 6 lambs overnight, 4 from 1, twins the other, so we had excited phone calls through the night, 4 is unusual as they can only really support twins, 1 has been 'orphaned' already so 4 hourly feeds are now part of the days schedule! Yawn !

Hi,Sue,
What a lovely card to start this wet and dreary day. I love the colours.
It seems that every time I plan to do something outside the weather changes on me. I was going to search for some missing pieces to my mini greenhouse today but I think I'll end up having to buy a new one in the end. I've got a greenhouse but it's coming down as the kitten uses it to get onto the bungalow roof and he injured himself getting down a couple of weeks ago. As I need him more than the big greenhouse it was no contest what would happen lol. I think the weather has other ideas though. I guess I'll just have to stay inside crafting instead...what a hardship lol.

Helen - sorry you are still suffering but good to know that the prognosis is very good! No more turning handles! Lol!
Laine great to see you and hear from you and thanks for telling us about Yvonne! Methinks she has been overdoing things. I know what you mean about mornings! Just don't ask others for their opinions as they can exaggerate more than a tad!

Good afternoon Sue, loving today's card it's beautiful. I to maybe don't like every card and would rather be honest. You put a lot of work in to each and every card, it would be a sad world if we all liked exactly the same things. Hi Sue
Well what a beautiful card to greet me on my return. Aqua is a firm favourite and always makes for a stunning card. Up until now I have not given in to temptation as far as the Jacobean Embossing Folder is concerned but that may soon change x
The Tahiti die makes such a gorgeous focal point. I do own Tahiti, Bora Bora and Fiji and they are absolutely sensational x
My crafty stash has been laying dormant as I have been very much out of action due to quite a bad ear infection. Thankfully I am now able to be in an upright position without the room spinning and toppling over (not a drop of alcohol involved for all you cynics) x
Well apparently it is International Happy Day today. So on that note I will leave you all in peace and send love and happy thoughts to everyone, especially my blog besties - missed you all. I will need a few days to get myself up to date with things x

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a striking card to begin the week with, i just love the aqua, white and black colour combo, it's so fresh and clean looking. I adore the Jacobean EF and am lucky to have it in my collection. I only wish that i could say the same about the other dies creating this little masterpiece....especially the Linear Edger die and the Tahiti, i really need to concentrate on catching up with my die collection before the new release is due. I would love to receive this card and really appreciate you taking the time to create it and then share it with us, thanksxxx
Well, its officially the first day of Spring today??!!??! However, not only have we experienced gale force winds, sunshine, rain and clouds but hail and sleet were also added to the mix today....all in all a GREAT day to be getting a wash and blow dry at your hairdressers! Yes, i was foolish enough to make the appointment armed with an impressive Lulu Guinness umbrella and bricks in my shoes to keep me grounded....Lulu's brollies are manufactured by the same company that makes the Queens umbrellas so i have high expectations. After having my hair back combed to within an inch of its life and sprayed with industrial strength hairspray i faced the elements with hope....and was met by a torrential hailstorm:-( Ah, that's the Scottish Springtime for you i guess:-)
Pam, how sad that you lost your hubby at such a young age, that must have been so hard for you. Sending my love and hugs to you today because it doesn't matter how many years have passed , the pain is still palpable for you. Thanks for your summary, its always a helpxxx
Elaine, thinking of you and Andrew today, hope his treatment went as planned.
P, hope you are okay sweetie, take carexxx
Yvonne, nice to see you back honey, glad you are feeling perkier again, speak to you soonxxx
Myra, so you're always late for breakfast then? Well, i say well done on actually making it because i know for sure that unless it was postponed until at least 10am i would be a no show:-)
Carmen, you are more than welcome to borrow shirtless George, and yes, September can be changeable in the UK but i hit the jackpot last year when the temperature exceeded 33C and i was met at the airport by a semi nude George and Yvonne....though she DID have ALL her clothes on despite the heat thankfully:-) Oh, by the way, I am not admitting guilt, simply choosing to remain silent lest i incriminate myself further:-)
Theresa, it fills my heart with joy that even one person may enjoy my ramblings, personally i would just scroll on by.....but thankyou for the kind complimentxxx
Frances, hope that you didn't get caught up in the freakish weather today, i feel for Darcey because she flatly refuses to use a litter tray no matter how bad the elements are.....do you have the same problem with your three?
Sending hugs to all my besties, Pat, Maureen, June, Maria, Wheely, Deb C, Tracy, the Naughty Nine, Alison and anyone in need of a cuddlexxx

Hi Sue,

What a beauty today! Love the dies and colours and the embossed background, of course. You used so many dies today, from different sets but they complement each other so well. Again, thank you so much for your amazing talent and creative mind and for sharing with us these beauties.

Pam - I am sending a special hug for you today.
PP/Yvonne – Welcome back! We missed you.
Elaine - Auburn colour is what I use, when I don’t do blond highlights. I hope Andrew’s treatment went well. My daily hugs for you.
Myra – It’s not a big deal. You can always go back to read all comments.
Theresa W.- That was the least I could do for you and for any who needed.
Laine – Thank you so much for the offer but I have to decline it. Everywhere I go I’m always accompanied by my 2 handsome full dressed bodyguards. However, Saba is very excited to meet George, and perhaps even more ladies would like to enjoy his company ... I am happy with my own boys.

International Happy Day is a really happy day for me (so far): first of all, the Kid is back to work! He is so excited to be here with us. He bought breakfast for the whole office: bagels, cream cheese and marble cheese. Isn’t he a sweet boy? How can you not care about someone like him?
That’s not all … my day got even better when I checked Ecstasy.com today. They have a special offer 15% discount for the Easter Category, Mach 20th-April 9th. Yes, you guessed, Sue’s Easter Basket (and some stamps maybe) will be mine in a few days! I love this Monday!

Have a great week everyone,

Hello Sue,
Such a fresh looking card today with the aqua and white combination. It's beautiful. I love the Tahiti die and it looks lovely popping out from behind the Molly. I need that Jacobean embossing folder so badly I feel an internet purchase coming on. I've has a glass of wine though so might wait until tomorrow otherwise who knows what might end up in my basket! Thank you Sue.

Pam, Brian was so very young, it must have been an incredibly difficult time for you. Hope you could remember some happy times to help you through today.
Elaine glad you enjoyed your special day. Hope all went well today for Andrew.
Carmen, I'm so pleased you don't want George, I'm happy to have him if Laine can spare him but don't tell the rest of the naughty nine. I'm already in bother with them for trying to induce a young man with electrical skills to come home with me and fit my new tv cable.
Yvonne lovely to see you back hope you are soon feeling 100%. How old is your George by the way?
Well done Myra, recall does take some time when you are getting older!
Love and hugs for all

Hello Sue

I will join the happy throng who love the colours you have chosen. It is amazing the difference embossing folders make in providing texture and dimension. I do wish more of your folders were available for those of us with the smaller machines. Mind you, my bank account would take a hit if they were!

Warmest regards

Jan from NSW (Australia)
