Many Thanks

Hi there my crafty friends!  As promised, another card sample using my new Classic Elegance paper pad designs!  I do have to say that my photography makes the pink look very pink, but it is much softer in person.  I started with a piece of backing papers from one of the linear patterns.  I added another layer on top which uses one of our new embossing folders called Provencale Lace, which I embossed in white.  The next section uses a smaller background piece of the coordinating pattern to the background.  I added four pearls to the corners and cut two of the gorgeous Maggie die in white.  I crisscrossed them to get a really lacy feel to them and attached them to the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre die from the set.  I made two flowers cut from the same patterned paper using the Peony dies and sugared them with Iced Snow.  I seated the flowers on some satin ribbon and added some Lace Edged leaves around as accents.  I completed the card with a simple white mat and another white layer.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Oh Sue. What a deliciously delicate stunningly gorgeous pretty sample you have given us this cold snowy morning. My paper pad is on order and I'm getting that restless twitchy feeling of impatience already lol. But how am I going to part with them ? Do I really want my SW papers taken from me by market stranger's I ask myself - maybe I can decorate the smallest wall in my 'craft den' with the one pad and order another for stroking lol what a predicament.oooh coconut ice - that's what it looks like with that gorgeous delicate layer of pale pink.
Thanks to all the fb friends that I sent nuts 're my question about my double pierced square dies and the set I need to make those lovely neat frames you make Sue,you must have quite a few fb ladies rocking in the corner chanting to themselves after i confussed them with my cottonwool brain lol but they are so patient and helped sort me out so as not to bother you.
My heart is breaking for Tina, Claire and the family this morning and I send my love to you, thinking of you so much.

I think I will be re-visiting this sample many times today as it really is the most beautiful card to help lift one's spirit.
Sending you my usual hugs Sue, and love to Sam and TOB xxx

Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Oh i think card is so pretty Sue, the colour scheme is so soft and dreamy looking making the perfect card for someone very girlie. I love your new papers that you have designed as they are not too in your face , but just subtle and soft looking and how the wee shell like detail of the lined paper is matched in the damask looking paper down at the bottom of each fan shape. Gorgeous flower, absolutely gorgeous that any girl what ever age would fall in love with. I am going to the show at the weekend in Glasgow so i am hoping that i see it on display to buy, although that will require me to purchase 2 pads so that i can actually use one of them and not feel guilty about cutting into it's pretty papers. Thank you Sue for a beautiful shaped, coloured and designed card today as i really love it.
Well it is a cold but sunny day here at the Ochils and i have been to Dollar this morning after dropping Rory off at college and just as well. My old friend that i have done her hair for the last 30 odd years is staying at her daughter and son in laws house to put the children to school and to all their after school clubs, lessions etc, so it was easier just to stay there while they are away but this morning she decided to go out the back to the recycling bin with her arms laden with stuff(she should have sent one of the children out to do it) but she missed the step and footing and has went down heavy onto her back and all the way down to her ankle being badly twisted. Now her daughter is a community nurse but does she actually have ANY dressings or bandages in her house......well that will be a no. What a state my poor friend is in although as i said to her it is just as well she has padding on her posterior as it could have been a lot worse, me looking at the positive side off her escapades. I know i will be glad when she is back at her own house because at her daughters every set of stairs or steps are a hazzard. Anyway after doing her hair and having a coffee with her i've spent the last two hours keeping her company and out of mischief.
Rory is going away to Tulliallen Police College tomorrow for training and seminars for the weekend, but he is staying over in accommodation there and they are putting on a Burns Supper for all the Youth Volunteers(police youth cadets south of the border) so he is really looking forward to it and it will give him some confidence building and give him some independance as well, which will be good for him. So i am away to press his Class 1 uniform for tomorrow and get him sorted out with clothes for the black tie supper at night, so will wish you all a good day sending hugs to all friends that need them or could do with them,
love and crafty hugs

Hi Sue, when I first saw the pictures I did think the pink was a bit bright, but sometimes it is hard to get an idea of the true colour of images on photographs. I love the effect you have got with the Maggie die cuts, they really do look as if you have mounted the sentiment topper onto real lace. It gives a Victorian feel to the card. Very pretty.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

A simply stunning card beautifully showcasing your new delectable papers...I'm now seriously considering using patterned papers on my cards.....I love this shade of pink, after all I am a lady!:-) Mixing it up with the two complementary designs was a nice touch and I love the flowers cut out of the matching paper...if only I could make them quite as perfectly as you my dear! I'm pleased to say that I have just adopted a Maggie die and boy am I pleased after seeing this ensemble. This is clearly my favourite card of the week.....
I am so lacklustre today, my little angel Darcey had a restless night last night. We went to bed at 12pm but within an hour and a half she was crying to go out again. My mum kindly took her and Brodie for a walk and she did the toilet and all seemed good. We went back to bed but at 5am she asked to go out again after trying to use the litter tray....she hates it with a passion....I'm worried that she has a bug or an infection but she seemed okay, eating normally and frisky enough, so I'm keeping a close eye on her to see if it was just a spurious incident. My little cherub has slept all day now and I am resorting to high levels of caffeine and matchsticks for the eyes:-)
I'm ashamed to admit that I abandoned all plans to make a Mother's Day card , electing to....shock! Horror!....buy one instead. I've appeased my Mum with some exclusive chocolates and a wedge of artisan nougat( her favourite), and a promise to redeem myself by making a just because card next week.
I did relieve myself long enough to purchase the three sets of spectrum noir sparkle pens and the metallics....my mum nearly had a coronary when she discovered the price of 'felt tip pens' but I stressed to her the health benefits of colouring and how I would be a much more pleasure able companion if I could relax with a good colouring book.....I seemed to work though the pained look on her face didn't diminish:-)
I'll sign off for now, need a lie down and early night hopefully. Big hugs to Yvonne, Beth, Pam ,deb c, Wheely bad, Lorraine , Linda, P, Tracy,Jan, Rebecca, Maria, Theresa and anyone my sleep deprived brain has forgottenxxxxx

Hi Sue
You did this card on purpose. You knew that I was teetering on whether or not I was going to buy your new paper pad and then you put a stunner on the blog as you know it is going to push me over the edge. I am hoping that you will be bringing it to Hochanda as I will not be able to buy anything this month.
This is a fabulous card and it is made all the better with these exquisite papers. Haven't done a pink card for ages. I do tend to go for blue most of the time. Well when I get your paper I can remedy that can't I? Lots of love to you Sue x
I have been watching a lot of Crafters Companion on Hochanda today. They have been such cheery shows with everyone looking like they are having so much fun. I don't think Create and Craft are going to have anyone left before long!
LORRAINE - hope you feel better and enjoy your time with your family x
LAINE - Jeremy Kyle show - best comedy program on TV. I would not be allowed to go on the show as I have no tattoos and all my own teeth! x
TRACEY - so sorry you are feeling the effects but like you say - at least it is the last time. You are such a star. Big healing hugs x
JAN - did you spend lots of money on lots of nice things? Hugs right back at you x
I am off to watch another Crafters Companion show, or what is left of it. Trying to keep busy cos George has gone out in his car for the first time by himself - EEEEEEKKK!!!!!
Take care everyone
